he probably recorded himself building the map, transferred the chunk data to blender as a map, then animated it after c: much easier that way for animation
@@otomachiunagi4208 there are also plugins which help you track camera movement for blender, which would work great with minecrafts many straight lines for reference; or just record your characters movement as camera path for Blender, it wouldn't be too hard to write a plugin for this. Although i'm also thinking these are scenes remade in Blender rather, it always feels just a little off to me, can't really put my finger on it why though. But honestly the fact that it's hard to tell if this is a recreation of MC in Blender, or a Blender render and MC footage edited together, is itself impressive.
Really love the video but the only problem is that when you are recording minecraft footage with the boats you cant really tell where the "physics" boat will be so it kinda hard to actually look at it. and yet you still managed to do it pretty well!

Now I’m wondering how long it’s going to take before we have the ability to run something like this in real time in engine and not pre render it? It might actually be possible right now. if you have like a $3000 dollar computer or something. but how long before a average $800-$1200 dollar computer can do this? Also why isn’t this stuff used in modern games? Is just because it’s not necessary yet because high definition graphics and simple animations are good enough and so there isn’t really a need for complete simulation of every material in a game? And if so then how many years or decades until it would become normal for most games to have fully simulated everything? Or will it never happen because it’s simply not necessary?

i tried to do something like that in blender it took me around 40-50 minutes cuz my pc is bad but video was 60 fps for some reasons lmao i cant imagine if this water was real
@@cringeguyong but that still leaves the question of. How long until this would be possible to run real time without needing like googles entire server center or something ridiculous like that? Because if you think about it. Computers 10 years ago where not even half as powerful as even budget computer’s are now. So I think it might only be another 10 or 15 years before we could have computers that don’t cost tens of thousands of dollars to run this stuff in real time. But I’m not really familiar with how this stuff even works. Or what computer parts are actually the bottleneck? I think it’s probably RAM and GPU but I could be wrong here. And if it is that then would it technically be possible to make a computer/server with like terabytes of RAM and like dozens of GPUs and then it might work? It would be interesting to find out what is that current technical limit for why we can’t run this real time and how much it would cost to build something that can using early 2020s computer technology. Then Try it again in 5-8 years and see if it’s cheaper and by how much.
2:35 i'm sure in 10 years or so we'll have accurate water physics like this running in real time in video games just for decoration
