I have these! Love them. Unlike the beauty in this video I have very fine, semi-frizzy, medium length hair. I bought the smaller set due to my hair type. The first time I used them, I made the mistake of not putting enough hair in the sectioned rollers. Those of course fell out while sleeping. The rollers that I did put a nice chunk of hair in, turned out beautiful. There may be a learning curve for first timers. But it's so super easy! Just remember- the curl is going to be determined by how much hair you section off, if you have fine hair. I'm not the expert, just hoping to help the cause for those with hair similar to mine. Also- I do not use all the rollers in my set at once. Yep- my hair is that fine. Lol! Thank you Alix for a great tutorial!!
if you sleep with a satin or silk pillowcase, you will eliminate the frizz on top
Tasha1284 question I sleep on a satin pillow but I've noticed it hurts my neck. Any advice?
I'm really amused at all these videos of ppl being shocked this stuff works. It's the same as a ribbon/paper bag curl, a thousands of years old technique. We lean so heavily on modern technology of everyday things, it's cute when we're amused by more simplistic devices.
achanwahn my grandmother (born in 1904) used rags to curl n twist my hair as a child. It gave the same results as these rollers it’s what the poor people used to do who couldn’t afford hair products or curlers back in the 1920s. So yeah, this technique has been around for 100 years! 😉👍🏻🥰
My grandmother was born in 1900 and did my mom, then my hair in rags growing up. I also did my daughters hair in rags so they could sleep. The old ways are great.

What you did , and it’s a plus and why your curls came out so well, is you twisted your pieces of hair while getting the curlers in. That’s a trick we use for fine hair that does not curl well. Also another look is the softly braid the strands before you roll them up. Good job!!!

I ordered mine a couple months ago too, and they just came in the other day. They're hard to put in for your first time, but they're comfortable to sleep in, and if you put hair spray in your curls they last about 9-10 hours. they'll and up looking like waves at the end of the day though. I love mine and I'm going to use them everyday for school next year.
Loved your review, I feel like you were really honest. Def excited to get my hands on my order- I had the same issue where it took like 3 months and then I cancelled because I was annoyed, but then re-ordered because I really want them.
I'm curious how well the curl held throughout the day and possibly even into the next day :) Also you were talking about how all this effort to save 30 min curling your hair in the morning but you are also avoiding heat styling! im trying to get more away from heat when possible. and I love the point you made about how your hair will smell like your conditioner not burnt hair!
They definitely fell as the day went on, but it gave me a more natural look which I love! By the next day they were really loose curls! But still pretty! Totally true about not having to use heat tools! I hate them!
I also just got mine used it last night and am in love they make ur hair so soft and really work I am going to wrap them tight like u did

The more things change...my mom told me she slept in "rag curlers" as a little girl in the 1930s. I enjoyed your video!
My mother tried everything with my hair in early 50's, rag cutlets, those brown & pink round curlers, even perms-- my hair still turned out straight as a stick & I had super thick hair. Started getting body waves after married & frizz for couple weeks & settled down with body, but had to repent in 2- 3 month. As perm solutions have improved over the yrs, my perms & great hairdressers, now turn out beautifully from day 1. And I am 76 yrs

I am so glad I saw your video! I was hesitant too because I have very thick and long hair and I didn't know if it was going to work. I still might end up buying another set because I feel like the chunks of my hair that I put in the rollers are too thick. You also showed me that I was putting them in wrong lol. The reviews on this product are so mixed but I've noticed those that hate it tend to have short to medium fine thin and/or straight hair and those that love it tend to have long thick curly hair. I have hair similar to yours so I feel like this might work for me. I just ordered. Thanks!

I bet the curl will last a lot longer than heat-curls. Since this is the way your hair dried, it will likely stay like this, more or less, a until you wash it again. I find heat-curls do not last at all on my hair. My hair just won't hold it. I'm thinking of getting these for my daughter (I just cut my long hair because I didn't know what to do with it anymore and curling it is pointless....ugh, wish I saw these curlers first). She won't let me do too much with her hair as far as curling it or braiding it at night to get wavy hair but I think she could do this herself after showing her one time and since she doesn't wash her hair every night (so thick!!), it should be good for 3 school days. Yay!! Tour curls look gorgeous!! They look way nicer than heat-curls and yes, the burnt hair smell is real....and gross. I just don't know if I should get her this size or the dark blue (black?) size.......

It took me 20 minutes to put them on (my first time tonight). It was hard to have the coordination to wrap the blue part in the opposite direction from the hair. I'm hoping I'll have curls in the morning. Your curls were beautiful. Thank you for posting this video

But I'm going to try again tonight! How wet was your hair when you did yours?? I have about the same amount of hair as you and mine usually holds a curl very well! Idk what I'm doing wrong!!

I'm still weary, my hair is much shorter that yours. Just below the shoulder. I would not expect rollers will affect your hair smell?

If your hair smells Burt after you curl or straighten you have your heat too high. ✌️❤️
also, you didn't roll your hair up on top so of course it would still have frizz.

kayleen walker yes they did! They definitely fell and became softer curls (which I like more) but even right now, after 13 hours, my hair is still curly!!!
I got the short ones and I hate them. They won't stay in my hair. Maybe I should get the long lines too
Crys Chapman I first tried the minis but returned them for the longer ones. The problem is the design is different as the strap is not long enough to wrap around the entire roller like with the long ones so it was impossible to keep them in my hair!
Can you give me a few tips on how you did it? I've tried it twice already and still won't get the tightness of your curl, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. How long did you keep it in?

love these as well! I'm 68 years old I've got long hair and I use the minis. I curl at the crown 4 down the back and then two on each side long wise. I love these to death. When your hair is gray and colored, the curl usually falls out immediately. These last with hair spray, my hair is so shiny and I am thrilled for this product.
