No, I usually rout them in the other direction but always get chip out at the edge of the banding. Doing it this way pushes the fibers into the plywood as it cuts with no chip-out at the front edge of the banding.
It’s the Leigh D4R. I would buy it again. It’s a little confusing to use if you haven’t used it in a while. I always have to look at the manual if it’s been more than a few months.
The majority of the paste wax is removed by wiping with mineral spirits. Any remaining wax will dissolve in the finish I’m using (oil based varnish) as it’s wiped on.

Loving this build and the attention to detail! On another note...respect for your beard game sir!
I really dig the drawer pulls. Very cool!
You made fitting those shelves look so easy. 👍
I didn’t show the trial and error with a sample board, but thanks. :^)
Nice work, good combo of instruction and commentary without needless filler material
Coming together really nicely Brian!
I really like that recessed pull detail and I think I'm going to borrow that to finish that console table I started building, but never finished.
Thanks. I wish I could take credit for the pull design. It came from the pages of Fine Woodworking Magazine. It is striking.
Nice! Love the drawer pulls.
Those drawer pulls are legit. Keep up the good videos :)
Great design and build
That is some fine woodworking! Thanks !! :)
Do you usually climb cut the edge banding? I’ll one plus everyone else that the pulls look great.

Looks great, Brian, love those drawer pulls. What brand is the dovetail jig and would you buy it again?

I thought that's what it might be, thanks.
How do you remove the paste wax from the blues shelf. Won't the paste wax interfere with the finish?

im still confused as to what u used to hang the shelves... lol
