The extent of my carpentry skills starts and stops at hanging doors and cabinets. Watching you weekly, building these things from scratch is captivating.
Such a shame that ya had to steer away from UA-cam as it lost its style to the adds and large brand sponsors. Glad to see you have retained your integrity and done something else 🖒
Hey Samurai, I've really enjoyed your run here on youtube. I can't afford to support your new school, and most of what you do I can figure out just from watching you do it, and from my own experience as a carpenter/woodworker. Best of luck in your new endeavor, and blessings on you and your lovely family. I know I'll continue to browse your archives, to remember what a great guy and how skilled and creative an artisan you are... At least you'll get that penny or two for each time I view one of your vids. Thanks for everything!
Welcome back Samurai!!! Yes, I have missed this stuff. Congrats on your recovery - I suffer the same. It's just an obstacle. Life is good. So are your carpentry skills
Mmmmmmmmmmm. Great to have You back Brother! Always inspirational, always motivational, always REAL. Keep it up when You can. You have a crew that stands behind You....
Dude, you are crazy talented! Ive followed you forever and there is something certain about your style, something you dont just acquire. Epic shelf btw, keep it up!
Glad you're back! Congrats on the school. Also, my wife watched this video with me, and at the end she said she feels like your my spirit animal. Just thought you should know we have that connection. Lol.
Hi, I'm from Chile, I do not understand anything you're talking about, but I still love your work, please, give it subtitles, keep on inspiring me to create new things. Greetings
If I know the Samurais level of excellence he demands in his dojo I think I see a tile job video on the horizon for that shower haha! Great build as usual!!
Wow! Another home run from the Samurai! I was watching a Ryan Reynolds movie one evening this week (The Hitman's Bodyguard). I said to my bride, "Hey, that guy looks like the Samurai!" Good luck with the school.
Samurai is back! Very nice work, as usual. You are so much fun to watch - I love to see the ideas you come up with and the craftsmanship and attention to detail that you put into your work. You are an artist. FYI... I remember some TP artists that covered my trees in TP one year. Your work is better.
Pure class - love to see a build video from you once again. I know you need to pay the bills, but I can't really give you yet more money, so this is one member of your 'brotherhood' that will not be following you to your online school. Good luck anyway, Jesse
Can you do a video or series of videos on joints? Which ones do you prefer and why? When would you use them rather than other joints? Where are they designed to receive stress; from the top, or side to side? I've know of the standard joinery technics but I never heard of a scarf joint until I saw you use it. Also, you use joints in a way I don't normally see, and you use them together in a project.
Wish i had your help with a project I'm working on lol I have no clue what I'm doing trying to build with wood. Thanks for sharing this awsome build and as always Keep Building👍
Beautiful craftsmanship. I wish I had some of your skills and patience to produce the things you make. And you can never have enough TP. lol Love this channel. So much to learn. :)
He is going to turn all his energy and work to the school thing which means if you are not a school member you will not probably see a lot more projects on this channel.
the majoraty of the content that he will be crating from now on will be private or just focused on little projects for people to try to replicate. However the majoraty of his viewers come here to see the amazing and big projects that he does. I dont think he realizes that 90% of the people dont want to know of tho build little things, but just want to see he build his own stuff.
I think he has mentioned in other videos that he'll continue to post time-lapsey-type overview videos of projects he does. The school is more for the in-depth how-to's.
Hey no problem, TP, tampons, Preperation H and an old toothbrush. It is a bathroom after all : ) Great job, what wood did you use other then the walnut?
Jesse, just saw your channel for the first time today, nice work. I'm a Finish carpenter/woodworker 28+ years in Hawaii. Like your tool vest, where can I purchase one? Keep up the good work
May I suggest releasing a video as to what one might expect from your course videos. Even doing something simple like a picture frame or your saw horses. Do it as you would in the course so we know what to expect from your instructional style.
Hey very nice work, beautiful idea and amazing craftsmanship. If I'm not mistaken you did not glue several pieces of oak wood together to get those boards for the shelf. I was wondering if you don't risk dwindling and swelling of the wood especially in an humid environment like your bath? Have you found another solution to avoid this?
Just saw this other video of yours, and I have to say I saw pieces of furniture where the wood did change. Maybe not only because of humidity and temperature but also because boards were not glued and worked along the grain, forming an hump.
Samurai like a fine wine you are getting better with time.
Good luck with your school, I will miss the way your channel used to be.
Beautiful work...as usual. The TP is the finishing touch, just what was needed.
The 2-ply triple roll really brought it all together. BRAVO!!!!
So many so-called woodworkers and makers out there, but the Samurai puts them to shame, so much talent. As always, great work young man!
What an excellent video. At last someone who understands joinery and not a Domino in sight!Well done that man.
Nothing better than fresh white canvas to experiment with.
YOUR SKILLS ARE ELITE.... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
White oak, very very hard and difficult to work. Nice. You're the man.
