Legendary music. If I could go back to those magical C64 days in the mid to late eighties I would. What a great time that was.Thank you Jeroen Tel for being a major part of that great era.
One of my favorites from the C64 as far as i can remember! Honestly, were people simply more talented back then when it came to music? Seems that video games had "artistic" music in them more than "soundtrack" style, "background music" that they usually put in today. Maybe i just have a nostalgic love for the sound. Anyway, true talent is always appreciated, no matter how much time passes. Thanks for the music, and thanks for the videos to the uploader!
As a kid I listened to many C64 songs, where this one was among my favorites. I didn't pay attention to who made the songs though. 15 years later, I caught up with the music again and found nearly all my favorites through the High Voltage SID Collection. It turned out that most of my favorite songs were made by Jeroen Tel! :-)
The good old times, When i was 13 or so. From Roermond to Brunssum (delta college) +/- 35km on my friends vespa ciao With a big box of 5"25 disks to get and swap demo's and games for the good old (brown) c64. Madonna mix, this song, Turbo-Outrun, Hawkeye and Hawkeye loader, children songs :-) and especially the songs with " digi's " in it, i think i've listened them more then 1000 times. My parents went crazy because of the gepingel. But then i just can't get enough of this supermusic. Jeroen thanks for making a part of my youth such an awesome time. "thank you for the music" God i miss also the broodjes frikandel voor 1 piek (1 gulden) ;-) Also respect for all the other great fellow composers at that time.Still have my breadbox c64 the brown one, with the old 1541 with the lame open/close mechanism (final cartridge3) and last but not least black/red arcade joystick, still working after torture it with decathlon. :-)Thanks for keeping the c64 spirit alive guys. Johan from 1974 :-)
herkenbaar :) I once made an audiotape of favorite c64 tunes... my dad didn't like the gepingel either on his carradio lol. This tune was a favorite back then so it was defintely on that tape.
jeroen never got enough credit imo, quite possibly because he was TOO prolific, which is unfair. He was up there with hubbard and galway in my book...if youre reading this jeroen, youll always be a legend, simply because you must have inspired thousands to buy gear and make music. And to think you were only a year older than me at the time..thats a remarkable achievement.
Dude, i had to wait much longer for all sorts of reasons ( family stuff) to get into music more properly, for want of a better phrase, but it was you guys that were the original inspiration for me to go on and write for music libraries and do production work etc. May you always shine on, man.
The Maniacs of Noise were what made me keep my C64 longer than I really would have without them. I actually bought 'Turbo Outrun' and 'Golden Axe' just to listen to their superb music!! Jeroen, Charles and Johannes, I love you!!!

Thanks for the upload of my music, sir! Properly credited too!
Jeroen Tel you are more than welcome, sir. Your legendary compositions deserve the exposure. ;)

I can only say... word up (meaning: less, hype, more music). ;-)
Toch stiekem wel mijn favoriet uit jouw C64 periode :-)
Thank you Jeroen, even now that everything is so far away i always remember the masters and that 8-bit world disappeared over time.
Jeroen Tel and The Maniacs of Noise were so far ahead of anyone else when it came to music. Amazing!
What a nice surreal compliment! Thanks srambrero... :-)
4:12 is my favorite groove. One of the best C64 grooves ever (and thus one of the best video game grooves ever)!

I found the C64 version had much better audio compared to the Amiga. And this tune in particular.
This is so good! I love Jeroen Tel's stuff!

Thank you so much for those words, my kind... I guess... man.. Working on it, don't worry!
How can someone dislike a Jeroen Tel piece? Other than he is deaf?
I have an idea... but I won't S-express it. ¶=D
Classic Jeroen Tel
