The first gen CRV is criminally underrated and unlike any other mini SUV. It has 4 wheel double wishbone suspension and is basically a beefed up version of what 90s Civics and Integras came with.
I recently acquired a 97 CRV and it’s been great so far. 25mpg, AWD never gets stuck in snow, good peppy engine in city traffic, very high build quality and reliable. Cons: driver seat is awfully uncomfortable, lacks power going up mountains, cup holders are too shallow to hold your drinks securely and the steering is much heavier than most other cars but very stable.
I like the gold emblem. I painted mine gold with translucent paint and called it the “gold edition”. Then the other day I saw one with a gold emblem at the wreckers and realized it’s a thing. I also painted the bumper and will paint the side trim. Wax from car washes always turns them grey.

I have had a white 01 all is stock but I want to have a similar build like yours; just seeing a lifted crv with beefy tires looks so satisfying lol. the only thing that is stopping me from doing so is the fact is not going to be my forever car, the first mod I am going to do is tint the windows

Around $770 give or take. I also have coilovers $220 if you add that probably around 1k. I went the coilovers to give it a even height. Then alignment was about $1xx can’t remember.

It’s going to be my daily driver but also my work vehicle I do Instacart and travel about 150 miles a day so I was concerned about the gas mileage with the lift on it .
How does it drive ? Does it shake when you accelarate MIne shakes like it has parkinson desease when I accelarate. The tires look good when they stick out but I removed my wheel spacers..they are useless.
It drive smooth. No shake from the axles that’s some are having on acceleration. But you can feel the power loss from the wheel weight and bigger tires.
Just an advice. Do not upgrade ur sound system. People will just break your window and take your sound system. It takes few seconds to break your window and grab your nice expensive speakers. Just an an advice from an old man.

They must have improved the seating in the 2nd generation. I have a 2006 and the seats are very comfortable to me.

Thanks!!the front is 5mm and rear is 8mm. But I did shaved the front calipers down to fit the wheels more which is a must on a -19 offset.

You have to do any subframe drop or add any camber adjustments with the 3 inch lift?
No subframe drop. Just rear trailing arm spacers and modify rear toe adjusters (needed to be shorter with the lift)
When you did the lift did you also do a subframe drop from the axle wobbles?

honestly it depends on what setup lift, wheel and tires you want to go for. My lift, wheels and tires for my 98 coat around maybe $1700-$2000

No I didn’t. I got the seats from an auto ex crv that had the arm rest on the seat from a junkyard. Best time and money spent.

What spacers did you run on front and back,
8mm back and 5mm front but I also shaved the front brake calipers because of the low offset.

Maxpeedingrod coilovers when they were cheap lol. I used those to even the height out because the front was looking a bit higher and didn’t like it.
Also I used aerogenices lift kit blocks
