- Hi Walkers, this rainy afternoon I’m walking in the prestigious Town of Hampstead. It’s 14 degrees Celsius.
Hampstead is a hidden gem in the heart of London and has a charming village feel to it with its picturesque views and landscape. known for its intellectual, liberal, artistic, musical, and literary associations, it has some of the most expensive housing in the London area. Hampstead has more millionaires within its boundaries than any other area of the United Kingdom.
In this walk you’ll see views of Hampstead Town High Street. As I walk deeper into the residential area of Frognal, you’ll see beautiful houses, hidden away passages, narrow staircases and alleyways leading to wonderful views.
You will see the following memorial plaques. I have listed them in order of appearance. Here’s what they read:
1. (9:33) THOMAS PARK F.S.A “The Poetical Antiquary Born 1759. Died 1834. And his son JOHN JAMES PARK Author of the first History of
Hampstead Born 1795. Died 1833. LIVED HERE.
2. (31:05) Born 1881- Editor of Punch. 1932 - 1949 EV.KNOX (Edmund George Valpy Knox) Essayist and poet lived here from 1945 until his death in 1971.
3. (35:00) IN THE 1830’s THE NEWLEY FORMED HAMPSTEAD POLICE FORCE SET OUT ON ITS PATROL & NIGHTLY WATCH FROM THIS HOUSE
4. (54:20)SIR HENRY DALE 1875 - 1968 Physiologist lived here.
5. (57:40) GEORGE ROMNEY 1734 - 1802 PAINTER LIVED HERE
This walk has the sounds of busy Hampstead village Town Centre. You will also hear the sound of the wind and the rain which has a relaxing effect on the brain proven, to reduce anxiety and stress.
Sit back in your surroundings and I hope you enjoy this charming walk!

Thanks for your video. I grew up here and it brings back incredible nostalgia to see it again. It has changed in the past forty odd years but so much of it is just as I remember. Great walk. I look forward to looking at the rest of your channel.

Thank you for this video. So peaceful. Just found you so I am looking forward to catching up with your other videos.
Your welcome. Thank you.
I love when people stare blindly at the camera, like they’ve never seen one before lol.
I have been to Hampstead Heath many many times when travelling to London and each time it is sunny when I set out and I have always experienced rain there, which I find so odd. Would love to walk around there and no rain one trip. I gave up going because of the weather there. Would also love to see the Burgh Museum there.
My kind of walk. Thank you for the lovely video 👌.
Your welcome.
Loving your video…brings back many fond memories ❤
That’s wonderful. Thank you

London is beautiful - everywhere you go it's different things to see and do.

I like rainy days, I have no reason to be out.
Ricky Gervais has a fancy house in Hampstead!
I’ve just discovered your channel, and I like what I see. I will look at your previous videos, the titles look very inviting.
Wonderful! Thank you.
When you turn the camera, turn slowly so us viewers don’t get dizzy.
I think you can tell when an area is higher on the wealth scale by the sandwich's it serves, beautiful place to live.
Wish the city I live in in England 'leicester' had shop signage 'the same style as' some of the london highstreets, london has much nicer more stylish normal uk style signage, the choice prehaps has to go through some council first in London.bad signage etc.can ruin the look of a street/area.
I get Hampstead mixed up with Hampstead vale
Filming a bit too quick, try 'turning' a little slower please!
I also subscribe to U live u
Probably got a Macdonald
It did have but the locals objected to it and it didn’t last
@@terrym3837 thanks 👍
A lady for all seasons 😂
There are too many circular turns in the video, make one dizzy, you need to plan your route ahead, and learn which areas or buildings to spend more time on, back alley ways are not the point of walking tours....and dont swing your camera around so quickly, makes the viewer feel dizzy
For all its residual charm, Hampstead, like everywhere else in this country, is much worse than it used to be, and continuing to degenerate. Those who think it's all right don't know how it used to be: that ghastly Sainsbury's in the High Street is one glaring example of the tastelessness that now pervades British streets. Hampstead used to have beauty and character, but both have largely vanished, along with the declining calibre and authenticity of the population.
Очень долгие кадры, зачем снимать окно пекарни минуту?
А мне все понравилось
Везде русская речь. Люди с Украины. Испортят вам всю Англию.
Too much panning & too fast.
so sorry but i just like only Türkiye 🇹🇷
I prefer chicken🐓 myself, its less likely to be dry..........
