Any house North of the river in zone 2 is worth over 1 mil so to claim Hampstead is where millionaires live is very silly. Central London property is far more expensive than Hampstead as is neighbouring St Johns Wood
If you love cemeteries you really should do a tour of Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris and show the tombs of Simone Signoret, Edith Piaf, Maria Callas, Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilds...amongst others...
@@kevinjewell233 Pere Lachaise cemetery has many famous people, but nearby Highgate Cemetery (the old and the new) has a huge number of famous people buried there. The old part has been the setting for many horror films as well!
Sinead, simply takes my breath away. Words fail me as to the beauty of the walk and the informative description of your knowledge. Absolutely well done.
I appreciate all the background work you did to make this beautiful area come alive! Didn't know about all the writers that worked/lived in this area. Thanks again Sinead
What a beautiful, peaceful walk today Sinead. A lush, delicious fairytale excursion. How I love these walks...and I love hearing your voice as well. It's just another layer of peacefulness! Thank you very much, and I'm excited for Part 2!!!❤⚘
What a beautiful place! I would never have thought there were somewhere so peaceful in London! Eye watering prices for houses though! Thank you for taking us on another tour! ♥
We just finished our Westminster Tour through London with Sinead! Hands down one of the best guides we have ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed her energy and wit! Make sure you book a tour online with her. She is brilliant! Thanks for the pic with our family! Cheers!
I used to live in an apartment in London. I've always loved Hampstead, especially the Heath, it was my breath of fresh air. I visited the Heath at least once a week, enjoying a pint or two in Jack Straw's Castle and the Holly Bush among others. I love the Pergola, I remember when it was derelict, it's great to see it as it is now. I now live in beautiful County Kerry, Ireland. I miss my visits to Hampstead, I always go back there when I visit London. I love your videos!
We are glad we can take you back there virtually, Bob! Sinead did show Jack Straws Castle but there was construction in the background so the volume was a mess and we had to cut it :(

What a delightful walk through stunningly beautiful Hampstead, love your commentary on the people & the history of this London gem, thank you. 🙂 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I owned a property in Hampstead for 19 years, about 20 years ago, a church, NOT the one shown in this video, sent out a letter to all properties in the area which was a demand for money based on the Council Tax one was paying!! Needless to say I and almost all residents were most offended and made absolutely no contribution to the church making the demand! It was never repeated.
Hi Sinead...this is very much like the Chestnut Hill section of Philafelphia. Also, the Summer of 1969 I attended Westfield College, Univ of London here. This brought back so many memories!! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this wonderful walk around Hampstead. I was at a boarding school there from the ages of 8-16 in the 70’s/80’s. I was marched to that beautiful church every Sunday. This makes me want to go back to just walk and enjoy☺️ In fact I think I shall do it before this summer ends 😍 The most beautiful part of London! X
So you had religion imposed on you, that's child-abuse. Children should not have religion imposed on them at all, because it results in them regressing into mentally challenged ignorant people; instead parents should allow their child's intellectual development to grow, otherwise they will become like mentally challenged subhumans like Christians and Muslims.
You answered my question of 25 years. I visited london in 1998 and by chance happened upon the pergola and red brick house and always thought it was off limits and private (which it used to be and still gives off that appearance), but i was always captivated by it and wondered who lived there. So now i know! Thanks.
@@ToursbyFootLondon I remember watching a film that was set mainly on Hampstead Heath called 'Scenes of a Sexual Nature' (all talk, no sex!) and seeing the pergola. For years I though it was some hidden part of Kenwood House, until I discovered it was up near Golders Hill Park. It is a beautiful spot, no wonder it is used for many weddings.
Pretty lady, Sinead, thank you for this relaxing & educational foot tour. I loved all of it & the pergola, absolutely beautiful. I wish I can visit England. Keep the videos coming. ..I look forward to them all. Thank you so much.

Absolutely beautiful and very well made video. I was hooked and couldnt believe the amount of knowledge you had about the history of the area. Subscribing!
Glad that you enjoyed the video! If you haven't done so already, you can hopefully check out our back catalogue of virtual London tours ua-cam.com/users/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos. There is more where this came from.
What a delightful walk through stunningly beautiful Hampstead, love your commentary on the people & the history of this London gem, thank you. 🙂 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the lovely comment

I owned a property in Hampstead for 19 years, about 20 years ago, a church, NOT the one shown in this video, sent out a letter to all properties in the area which was a demand for money based on the Council Tax one was paying!! Needless to say I and almost all residents were most offended and made absolutely no contribution to the church making the demand! It was never repeated.
What!! Glad you all stood your ground!
Hi Sinead...this is very much like the Chestnut Hill section of Philafelphia.
Also, the Summer of 1969 I attended Westfield College, Univ of London
here. This brought back so many memories!! Thank you!
Always a pleasure

great video - so pleased to see that the Hill Garden is still around - haven't been there for 30 years, but an absolute gem.
Glad you enjoyed it, Martin :)
Great video. At the same time, this gives asmr tingles. Your voice is so calm and warm

Parts of Hampstead reminded me of the older back streets of Winchester.
Glad we could share it with you, Sylvie!
That was one of the most enjoyable You Tube videos I've ever watched. Thank you
So delighted and flattered by this comment
Thank you Christine x

Blessed to live in this part of London! Thank you for the tour!
Our pleasure!
You answered my question of 25 years. I visited london in 1998 and by chance happened upon the pergola and red brick house and always thought it was off limits and private (which it used to be and still gives off that appearance), but i was always captivated by it and wondered who lived there. So now i know! Thanks.
Glad we could give you that info, Andrew!
Thank you Susan
