Hey, have you ever done review on Steelcase think V2? I feels like you did, but I can't find it. I found a good deal on the chair, but need to find a review to figure out if the chair is worth it 😅
Hey Ive been watching these for a while now. Good stuff. Anyways I have a question about a chair I recently got. It's a vecta / steelcase Lucy chair. I can't find more than a couple pics online about it. No reviews or videos nothing. Was wondering if you know about it at all? Like price or features.
I don't even need a chair that badly, but I've never seen a UA-camr go to such lengths to provide value for their watchers for free and without asking for my email address. This spreadsheet is amazing. I'm going to buy a chair just so you make money from the affiliate links.
I'm always so amazed by the generosity and kindness of people on the internet...seriously, thank you for the kind words. I stress out daily about whether I'm going to be able to keep the lights on tomorrow, the next day, etc and moments like this mean the world to me. I really appreciate it.
Just a note on the warranty from Crandle Office chairs, their warranty doesn't cover wear and tear of the chair. So as you use the chair, if the cushion starts to sag or the backrest isn't as firm or the heard rest starts to slip or the gasket looses effectiveness (you know, all the things that would make someone want to return a chair years later) because of normal wear and tear, the warranty doesn't cover it.
The absolute best guide for chairs! I finally bought my Hermann Miller gaming embody chair due to back issues as per recommended in this guide and I love it
6'4" 260lbs here, having owned the Steelcase Gesture if I were to do it again, I'd get the Amia with no headrest instead its much more comfortable for a big & tall person than the Gesture. The Gesture's back rest is too narrow for a Big & Tall person, but I must admit it's got best in class back support. I had the chance to try out the Amia after buying the Gesture and yeah its more comfortable for me. Also, if you do decide to get the Steelcase Gesture, do NOT buy it with the headrest I've never been able to get it to adjust so it feels right so I just don't use it and I wish I could remove it, but you can't after you order one with it. Good luck on your Chair journey everyone!
I’m 3 minutes in but I had to stop to say thank you. I’ve been STRESSING about getting a new chair now that I make okay money and will be a hybrid worker. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU.
@@grumpyyllama you’re very welcome! Thanks for the kind words. Means a lot! And if you decide to pick up, please consider using my links! Helps the channel keep going!!
u explain chairs like no one else. I watched 1 vid of u of a chair i tought i liked but u explained so well that it would have being the chair for me. I dont think there is any one on youtube that explains chairs so well as u. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
I kid you not I wish you dropped this video yesterday. I was literally looking all day for a good chair. I watched a ton of your videos. I ended up buying the Herman Miller Sayl
Should I have chosen the Herman Miller Aeron instead of the Sayl? I’m also 5’6 and plan to be sitting almost in a hunched over position in the chair for over 8 hours.
@@RedOni_YT but the sayl is literally perfectly made for shorter frames, so on that front, it's good for you on paper. The only real complaints you hear are from taller people that have issue with the top of the backrest digging into their shoulder blades. You shouldn't have that problem at all
I cant thank you enough. I spent hours on review sites and reddit comments trying to figure out a gaming/desk chair that wouldnt hurt my back. The Refine Fractal is life changing. Im 6'6 225 and never felt comfortable in a desk chair in my life. Ive used seat cushions and lumbar support pads. Thank you for not being another sponsored channel selling crap
Love how thoroughly you covered the chairs; especially the short people ones!! It's very rare to find a chair that my 5'3" 145lb self can sit comfortably in, making it hard to shop. 🙏 Thanks for putting this video together!
The production value here is nuts considering how small your channel is, and I really appreciate how thorough your chair reviews are, especially for sitting positions that might not be "ergonomic" per-se, but are still common sitting positions, especially for those who like to stim or fidget. Now that I know the Atlas doesn't have the seat sliding/headrest issues mentioned in your full review, I think I'll go with that one, and see how some sort of foam or pillow works for the lumbar support. Thanks for the review and addendum of that chair - The additional coverage and testing for all the other chairs, budgets, and heights are something I greatly appreciate as well, even if those don't apply to me.
Literally spent like 1 entire month trying to decide upon a good ergonomic chair ( i m 178 cm and 81 kg ) and after a lot of research i decided there were 3 final options : Mirra 2 , Aeron and Leap v2 . I spent 4 hours driving just to test all these 3 chairs and i was pretty surprised that the one i liked the most and felt simply perfect on my body was the Leap . If you ask me it felt waay better and supportive than the Mirra 2 and Aeron but every person is different i guess
This is impressively comprehensive! I scored a used Zody from a local store for $100 during a moving sale and I like the chair but I really need a headrest so I might try one of those clamping Chinese ones just to get by for a bit....but I'm saving for either a Fern plus Atlas headrest or an Embody plus Atlas headrest. Just wish I could try them out before ordering since returns are a pain and costly.
Tall person here. I bought a Sihoo M90D about a year ago after I saw your review of it and I'm still super happy with it. Happy to see them show up here again. Seems to be a really solid budget/mid-range brand still.
Yesterday I became the proud owner of my Herman Miller Embody gaming chair, and you video just made me feel even more justified in my purchase. You were right! Thanks!
Amazing video, I appreciate all the hard work in making this for us viewers. I’ve been eyeing chairs for awhile as I put together my pc build. Great blend of information & humor! I might’ve seen one video in the past but subbed now.
bro you should do a show room business for your area. charge people like 10$ or 15$ to check all the chairs out if they in doupt for which chairs they want to buy, or that are compatible with their bodies
I'm 187 cm and tested all available chairs at Staples and Walmart. Only two models felt good for my back: the Staples Rutherford (Luxura) and the Staples Carder. I found a used Carder nearby for $40, so I’ll go with that. The following models were terrible for my back, either pushing my shoulders forward and causing an unnatural curve or featuring headrests that dug into my shoulders on the highest position. Racing-style chairs were also uncomfortable, pressing against my back from the sides: - Staples Hyken - Staples Dexley - Staples Kelburne - Staples Sorina - Staples Lockland - Staples Emerge - A few unknown models from Target and Walmart.
THOROUGHLY enjoying the hard work and dedication you put into this guide, and spreadsheet. Just wanted to mention, I can't find the Fractal Refine chair in your spreadsheet. I'm hoping to find a dedicated review for that (and hopefully an affiliate link to support the chanel,) cause it looks like it may be a candidate for my next home office chair.
Hey! The refine link is there, but you need to make sure you’re on the right tab! The refine only shows up in the average and tall tabs of the spreadsheet.
@@Ahnestly 🤦♂️ I pulled up the 2023 spreadsheet on my computer, but was watching the 24-25 video on my phone. Lol Thanks again for this type of content. You're obviously putting in the hard work to have such great content like this. Thanks so much for taking the time out of your day to reply and keep everyone so informed. Earned my sub for sure.
I've been researching good back-support desk chairs for many days, was beginning to need new glasses, but stumbled across your videos 48 hours ago and my life changed! You are a godsend! I just ordered a Haworth Soji, using the link on your spreadsheet... Keep up the good work, you are performing a public service that is much appreciated.👍🤗
Nice video! One genuine recommendation for shorter people that I don’t often see mentioned is to choose a chair with the right **armrest width**. Many chairs have armrests set so far apart that they barely provide support for shorter individuals while typing. For reference, I’m 5'2", and a 16-inch armrest width is ideal for supporting me while I type. This width tends to suit people of similar height. I previously owned a Steelcase Leap V1 with non-adjustable armrest width, which caused a lot of discomfort. 16in armrest width doesn't leave us much options, some I researched qualifed include: Steelcase Leap V2, Steelcase Gesture, Herman Miller Embody, and Herman Miller Sayl. I researched budget-friendly ones too but didn't find ANY. I’d love to know if there are other options, and I hope manufacturers consider this need more for shorter people in the future. I've spent 10+ hours shopping the right chair and feel shorter people are often an overlooked group
I’m 6ft tall and something I’ve noticed over the 3 years I’ve owned the aeron size c is that I think I need a chair with more upper back support as I always have upper back pain sitting down, regardless the aeron completely removed any lower back pain.
Do you have one with the PostureFit SL? If so, have you tried reducing it a bit, so you can sit back further in the chair and maybe make more upper back contact with the backrest? Just a possible suggestion. I noticed having my PF cranked too high caused a lot of problems with the chair that all went away once I got that adjusted right.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that forward tilt is no longer available on the regular sayl chair, its a gaming sayl only feature now. I was informed of this by a representative. You can still special order the forward tilt on the regular sayl, but you forfeit your right to a 30 day return period. Great vid as always!
I'm 180cm looking for a high back chair, and due to the hype around it, I bought the Colamy Atlas. Excellent seat cushion, the lumbar support didn't bother me, I thought that the arm rests would be uncomfortable but it was better than I expected, and even after almost a year seems to be a near perfect chair for the pricepoint. I unfortunately will probably have to change it, as I don't like the headrest. Ahnestly's first impressions was that it was too stiff/not adjustable enough, but my problem with it is that it is too adjustable. What I mean is that you can't lean much into it without it moving its tilt position. I had to settle it with at the lowest height and max tilt forward to be used as a neckrest, but even then it's not as stable as it can be. If there's some sort of "lock into place" mechanism so it doesn't tilt when pushing against it with my head, it would have been awesome. If the headrest isn't a deal breaker, then I would recommend the Atlas for people, as otherwise the chair is great. As it is though, I'm getting upper back/lower neck pain due to not having support for almost a year. I hate going out of the budget price point, but I will probably purchase a Fractal Design chair as the headrest seems much more stable for my particular needs. EDIT: Bought the Fabric Fractal Design as it looked like the cheapest chair that had a very good headrest, and I can feel relief in my shoulders/lower neck already. The armrest are more comfortable, but do note that the seat and the backrest are on the firm side. It gives A LOT of support for a big guy like me, but those who wants something more springy may want to get the mesh version. My only concern is if it will get hot in the summer, but for winter where I am right now, it's perfect for my use case.
I think in the past couple months I've watched most every vid you've put out in the last year. This is my favorite one. Really struggling between the Herman Miller Embody (regular version) and the Steelcase Karman, you make both sound so great.
great job my dude! i already bought 3 high end chairs off from fb marketplace after your in depth and well thought out reviews. it’s great that we are literally but the same, same height, and same weight. keep up the great work!
With all the mentions of Crandall Office I was wondering if you knew of any similar reputable folks who offer similar services outside of the US? I live in Australia and it is hard to find much information on refurbished chairs, so wanted to ask before I pull the trigger on a new chair. Your spreadsheet has been incredibly helpful in narrowing down my shortlist, so thank you!
I bought a new Fern, black mesh, fabric seat, lumbar support from Haworth. Then I bought the same Fern chair from Crandall in basically Like New condition. Overall, just as good as the new version.
Thanks so much for these very helpful comparisons! I bought the Branch Ergonomic Chair with headrest as a surprise for my husband's birthday. I think it will be exactly what he is looking for!
Great video, so in-depth! I just bought a chair so I may have to save this video for a few years haha. So confused as to why this doesn't have more views too!
Hello, I want to share my experience with the Andaseat Kaiser 3 as a tall person. I bought the XL Grey Fabric version and I had to return it after a week of use. I'm 193 cm/6'4, I weigh about 100 kg/220 lbs, and the chair was genuinely unusable for me. No matter what height or backrest adjustment I tried, I had back and leg pains, I straight up hated the chair. The backrest is terrible, the top of the backrest is tilted in a way it forces me to slouch all the time, and in order for my back to be straight I have to recline so much to a point where I can't even see my screen anymore. The lumbar support is terrible, the adjustments feel like they don't do anything and no matter what position it was in it felt like my back is leaning against an edge of a table, the chair basically doesn't have any lumbar support, because I can't imagine anyone sitting in this chair and actually using the lumbar support. The worst part of the chair for me was the seat cushion, it's extremely firm, especially on the sides, I usually sit with my legs spread and the edges of the seat were digging into the bottom of my thighs, I couldn't fix that by adjusting the height of the chair (probably because of the cushion being so huge), because in order for the seat to not dig into the bottom of my thighs I had to sit basically almost on the ground way below the lowest possible height of my height adjustable table, but that way I couldn't even use the table. My issue with the height adjustment could be caused by the fact that I don't have a footrest, but I don't like footrests so I guess this chair just isn't for me. Also I am not sure about this, but the firmness could be caused by the fabric, I heard the fabric version of the Titan Evo is firmer than the leather version, so maybe it's the same for the Kaiser 3, or maybe the chair is just unusable without a footrest, but I honestly find it hard to recommend this chair to anyone even if you want to use a footrest.
Crazy i was literally just bingeing your channel for a new chair to buy as this dropped, Alright I was really looking into the AndaSeat cause i like reclining but ultimately went with the Leap V2 because i didn't wanna have to upsize to the XL of the AndaSeat as im just about 260 lbs but deal with the issues of it being too long of a seat as i am also 5'9 but the Leap V2 seemed to be an overall versatile chair as i move and change positions constantly along with a really solid warranty for a re-manufactured Chair. Overall great and helpful reviews and documents, keep it up man.
6'4" 250lb. I have neck and shoulder issues due to a pinched nerve and 7 buldging discs so head support is important, also like to have the option to both sit ergonomically correct and sit back and lounge. I hate the racing style chairs and didn't like the anda seat kasier 3 xl. Also didnt like the Steelcase Leap v2/plus as the back dug into my shoulder blades and I just couldn't get the back to get comfortable. Normal logitech embody same issue. Hated the Aeron C due to the hard plastic edges, i also like to sit cross legged and mesh isint great for that. Gesture seat was too shallow. The best back on a chair I've ever used is the serta hensley. Great high back with a large pillow for the neck. The problem is that the lumbar wears out and the front of the seat is too deep and high which puts pressure on the legs. It also has very high non adjustable arms which I ended up turning upside-down to make it armless but that causes elbow pain and I cant play controller games or lounge comfortably. Another issue is the back and seat move together when you tilt and doesn't lock into position. Its just being used because I cant find anything better atm so I honestly just stand at my standing desk most of the time. The staples beautyrest chair was comfortable for lounging but bad for tasking/gaming. Was interested in the fern with the atlas headrest but the gap when the seata pulled forward is a deal breaker. Still looking for a chair with a nice high back and plush head/neck rest that isint bucket style with adjustable arms. Currently looking at the Excebet Big and Tall on amazon and replacing its arms with 3rd party 4D arms. Feel like im never going to find something comfortable. 😢
I have been using herman miller embody the regular not gaming with atlas headrest for 2 years now. Best chair i ever own , and the headrest is fantastic from atlas
Great video, really appreciate the detailed breakdown! Crandall doesn't ship to Canada unfortunately. Do you have a recommendation for used chairs in Canada?
Hi Dan, Could you try the Herman Miller Verus in the future? Due to the import prices to my country, many cheap chairs are greatly increased in price when purchased on Amazon, for example the Branch ergonomic chair that would cost me around $800, at a similar price to the Herman Miller Verus, which has a distributor in my country. I am not going to buy an ergonomic chair anytime soon, but I want to save up so that in the future I can afford to buy one, and that is why I suggest that HM model, as I find it an interesting model and I would like you to review it in the future, also because I enjoy your videos.
What are youre opinions on the Razer Iskur v2 vs Andaseat Kaiser 4. If focusing only on lumber support comfort? I am also your height, been struggling to decide for months..
Currently have to wedge hose clamps between chair and gas cylinder because I sink down and had to remove arms because they don’t move. This video is much appreciated.
Enough of forward tilt! Is there no central tilt lock (seat going up too) chair, with moving arms and a headrest? Other than the gaming chairs, which are firm as bricks? I'm 5'4 190 lbs and i just wanna lounge while reading a book (or playing on a switch) and sit straight at pc on the same chair 😢
Insane quality video. What're your thoughts on the Shaq chairs from office depot? I'm focused on comfort, don't really love the mesh chairs that always end up on these lists. Thanks!
As someone petite (5’1”), I ended up with the sayl and leap for home and office. I wish I could’ve tried the butterfly mirra but they only had the triflex in my local store. The embody was horrible for me. Triggered my lower back pain almost immediately. Wasn’t a good fit for me at all even when I tried to adjustment. The lumbar adjustment in the Aeron remastered I also found was too high. Wanted to try Humanscale freedom but they only had leather with headrest and was way more expensive than the other options.
I bought an Embody Gaming 2.5 years ago and I often wonder if I truly got the best for me... After the Atlas headrest I am quite happy. I just miss fully reclining, but the Embody isn't meant for that!
Have you read "The particular sadness of lemon cake" by Aimee Bender? There's a character in the book that is obsessed with chairs and then turns into one. Thank you for the video!
I’m 5’2” and live in the UK but this video is so eye opening and informative. I’m still struggling to find a good chair for myself and since i’ve began working from home and gotten a PC, I’m noticed some lower back ache sitting in an old chair. Any advice? 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Great videos - i've been settling on the Vantum especially with the latest iterations on it. Noticed that wasn't mentioned in this video? Should i stray away from it or would you still recommend it as a good mid tier
Great reviews. Just found your channel and I have been watching all your videos. Would you recommend Soji or Breck or Series 1? With black Friday, they all have a very similar price.
Ready for this, I think I am giving my husband my Aeron and looking at another chair. Average height, like to lean, with a baller budget. Embody and Eames executive have my eye atm.
Yoo if you get that executive, let me know how you like it (and please use my links!!). I’ve been curious about reviewing it! You eyeing the tall or regular back?
My Eames lounge is tall version, and I am only 5’6 but fits well. My Aeron is B size. I am thinking the regular rather than executive tall. But I love the aesthetics of like a big executive camel/dark brown leather chair.
I have the chair at 58:00. I got it half off, so about 90 bucks. It was the most comfortable chair i sat in that day(that fit my specs) after 5 stores including 3 furniture stores. Im here now because its completely degraded. Zero comfort. It was good for about a year or 2 tho.

Hey, have you ever done review on Steelcase think V2? I feels like you did, but I can't find it. I found a good deal on the chair, but need to find a review to figure out if the chair is worth it 😅
No, did one for series 2 though
@Ahnestly is it possible to get a link for it, obviously if it is easy to find ☺️
I hope you're not using the Honey browser.
This guy is the king of chair videos.
Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU.
THANK YOU!!!!!!! 🙏 ❤

@@Ahnestly may I ask how tall you are for reference? 😂
@ 5’6 165 lbs!
Holy. This is the best video of all the chairs ive seen so far. Thanks for the awesome list.
Thank you for the kind words!!!
u explain chairs like no one else.
It was supposed to release Friday, but the damn video wouldn’t render!
You shouldn't have that problem at all
@@RedOni_YTthe aeron costs double.
@@formulaic78 The cost is not an issue for me. I’m just looking for a good office chair as it’s my first one I’ve ever purchased.
Putting this in the second monitor to just vibe out. I already have a Leap v2 but gotta support your content
Appreciate that!!! Get that average watch time up and watch that #$(*& out of those ads! Give it a couple clicks if you feel bored 😂😂
Always love checking in on your channel for these videos. I love that prices are finally becoming reasonable.
Thanks for the review and addendum of that chair - The additional coverage and testing for all the other chairs, budgets, and heights are something I greatly appreciate as well, even if those don't apply to me.
omg tysm, this was the wxact video i need and i respect u for filming for THAT LONG to make a video for us. once again, tysm
Thanks for taking the time to leave kind words! Please consider using my links if you decide to pick up! It helps the channel keep going!!
Just wish I could try them out before ordering since returns are a pain and costly.
nah there's no way the video quality and production is over the roof, thanks for all the work you're doing Dan
Tall person here. I bought a Sihoo M90D about a year ago after I saw your review of it and I'm still super happy with it. Happy to see them show up here again. Seems to be a really solid budget/mid-range brand still.
m90D got discontinued unfortunately. I wish they had an alternative for it!
Racing-style chairs were also uncomfortable, pressing against my back from the sides:
- Staples Hyken
- Staples Dexley
- Staples Kelburne
- Staples Sorina
- Staples Lockland
- Staples Emerge
- A few unknown models from Target and Walmart.
My budget was about $300.
Lol
Thanks again for this type of content.
Wow this is a great review and I can really see all the time and effort you put into it, its fantastic. Love your reviews they're so helpful :)
The organization of this video is amazing
I’m 6ft tall and something I’ve noticed over the 3 years I’ve owned the aeron size c is that I think I need a chair with more upper back support as I always have upper back pain sitting down, regardless the aeron completely removed any lower back pain.
Do you have one with the PostureFit SL? If so, have you tried reducing it a bit, so you can sit back further in the chair and maybe make more upper back contact with the backrest? Just a possible suggestion. I noticed having my PF cranked too high caused a lot of problems with the chair that all went away once I got that adjusted right.
I just realized it’s a 2 hour video, similar to that other guys comment. That’s cool how In depth this video is I respect it
Thanks for this in depth guide! It was just what I was looking for, and i ended up purchasing a Branch Ergonomic Chair because of you. Thanks again 😊
My only concern is if it will get hot in the summer, but for winter where I am right now, it's perfect for my use case.
this has to be THE BEST chair review video ive ever seen great work ant thanks for your time!
I think in the past couple months I've watched most every vid you've put out in the last year. This is my favorite one. Really struggling between the Herman Miller Embody (regular version) and the Steelcase Karman, you make both sound so great.
Thank you , best chair review ever
I was watching the same video you made last year ig and now you dropped a new one!
Just ordered the gaming embody through your link! Appreciate your honest and genuine reviews!

great job my dude! i already bought 3 high end chairs off from fb marketplace after your in depth and well thought out reviews. it’s great that we are literally but the same, same height, and same weight. keep up the great work!
THANK YOU OMG YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND A GOOD CHAIR WHEN YOU'RE SHORT!!!!
The editing quality on this chanel is god tier I swear
I bought a new Fern, black mesh, fabric seat, lumbar support from Haworth. Then I bought the same Fern chair from Crandall in basically Like New condition. Overall, just as good as the new version.
Man, You are the KING!!! So much work, really appreciate!
So confused as to why this doesn't have more views too!
so much detail in givining informations. LOVE IT!
Thank you for the great review. I just bought the branch ergo chair.
Thanks so much for the free spreadsheet ❤
amazingly comprehensive! thank you, Dan, new studio is looking amazing too
great honest reviews this is awesome, thanks!!
Crazy i was literally just bingeing your channel for a new chair to buy as this dropped,
Alright I was really looking into the AndaSeat cause i like reclining but ultimately went with the Leap V2 because i didn't wanna have to upsize to the XL of the AndaSeat as im just about 260 lbs but deal with the issues of it being too long of a seat as i am also 5'9 but the Leap V2 seemed to be an overall versatile chair as i move and change positions constantly along with a really solid warranty for a re-manufactured Chair.
as a comp sci student sitting long and longer hours, many thanks, saved my back with a soji for 270 with lumbar
I learned about office chairs today!
What are youre opinions on the Razer Iskur v2 vs Andaseat Kaiser 4. If focusing only on lumber support comfort? I am also your height, been struggling to decide for months..
Thanks for the in depth review! I'm going to try the Soji :D
Currently have to wedge hose clamps between chair and gas cylinder because I sink down and had to remove arms because they don’t move. This video is much appreciated.
I know it’s not your thing but would you review some of the Alienware gaming chairs? They look comfy lol
This was a beautiful amount of data. As a data nerd i thank you. ❤
Forward tilt also helps take pressure off the sciatic nerve.
Enough of forward tilt! Is there no central tilt lock (seat going up too) chair, with moving arms and a headrest? Other than the gaming chairs, which are firm as bricks?
I'm 5'4 190 lbs and i just wanna lounge while reading a book (or playing on a switch) and sit straight at pc on the same chair 😢

bought the embody gaming after watching your video, hope it matches the expectations👍
Thanks for all your thorough & honest work!
