Running Windows XP as a VM allows you to test any old software or run software that will not run on newer versions of Windows.

man, tanks this was driven me crazy you gave me al the rigth information
I have spent the last 5 years trying to find a solution that would enable to run XP on my Windows 10/11 desktop!! This is, by far, the best solution that I have ever seen. Thank you!
Actually, Windows XP runs better on VirtualBox or VMware Workstation (or the free VMware Player) since you can get sound when using those apps.
Legacy Update will restore the function of updates so you can update to the last updates
I've got a windows xp virtual machine running on windows 10. How do I go about getting some sound/graphic drivers?
I read that Hyper-V doesn't support sound unless its Windows 8 or above, but might if using RDP. I did find a couple of versions of the Integration Services ISOs that might give you some additional graphics options.

@@OnlineComputerTips you think VMware would be a better option for a functioning XP machine?
I have installed it in VMware Workstation, VMware Player and VirtualBox and they all work better than Hyper-V with sound and everything! Plus you can install VMware Tools and the VirtualBox Guest Additions as well.
