How to Run a Windows XP Virtual Machine (VirtualBox ISO)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 гру 2022
- Learn how to run Windows XP as a virtual machine with an ISO and VirtualBox. Additionally, you will learn how to install guest additional, resize your screen, and setup a shared folder for copying files to and from your VM.
WARNING #1: Use at your own risk. Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft. This means there will probably be vulnerabilities.
WARNING #2: You can obtain a Windows XP ISO image from archive.org/details/WinXPProS... but that does not make it legal.

Hi wanna Welcome computer
Great video! Thanks tony!
You bet
its stuck on "installing devices" on the windows setup thing
Its taking a while to install the ISO, but i am only a kid. so im just gonna be patient for once in my life.
What does the setup is copying files take so long?
Help me, im on an Elitebook and when I press f8 it says “HP Software framework is not installed or not running” help me
type torn windows features on or off in search, then enable .net framework latest verson
Does my pc needs to be on.
All the time and I can let someone else connect to the VM.
And can I stop paying for vultr
🤣
Your PC will need to be on. VMs are a good local solution
Can I install an old game on it?
Like, can it interact with anything from outside? Can I move files to it?
i tried this before, and you can drag and drop files onto the VM and it goes into the VM.
@@BradleeBlevinss brilliant! Thanks.
no matter which key i try, it always says invalid key
Can you take the Win XP VM and (with sufficient space allocated) use a backup file (Macrium Reflect) to make a VM of a computer you don't use anymore but you don't want to lose the programs and data? Hopefully, these old computers would run more quickly on a Win 10 computer with good computing power (i9 CPU, 2TB Disk, 32GB memory, etc.). All these computers will no longer run someday and I am hesitant to lose the data but some programs. For example, I have a Nuance PDF program that cost me $150. When I am busy using the newer version on win 10, one of my assistants can go and use the older XP version. Or, with Winfax Pro, if somebody disputes a 10 year old fax, you can just give them a copy. This is mainly just me being a "nervous nelly" but I have seen people have to produce old data. I can pay for your time. It could cost more to keep these old machines on "life support" replacing parts, etc. (e.g. I have a 2002 Laptop that is maxed out on upgrades but does OK running on a 250GB SSD via an IDE converter; the SSD will last a long time -- and is backed up -- but where I am going access it if all my XP computers are dead.) Thanks.
too much nostalgia right f#@n now
I've followed all the steps in the video, But Now I get a black screen? Help!

Btw you unfortunately cannot get windows xp on virutalbox 7.0 and no it’s not a virus
Does Virtualbox 7.0 not allow Windows XP anymore?
Alright so u have a beefy PC and it still feels slow

What happened? Which step gave you issues
I think you can’t use windows XP on virtualbox 7.0 a lot of people have that same issue but when they downgraded it started working
