Fix a Fujitsu ix500 ScanSnap Scanner 'Power On' Problem

The Fujitsu ix500 ScanSnap Scanner is without debate the best home office scanner In the market...even with the release of it's successor. Like anything it occasionally has some little annoying problems...like this one where it appears it won't turn on. But they always end up being very minor...like this one is.
I demonstrate the super easy fix for when your scanner won’t turn on automatically after you open it.

I have an older scan snap 1500 and its been doing the same thing. it has the cover button on the right hand side. I never noticed it before, pressing it in and release causes the power to come on. Awesome I found this video LOL. Thanks for posting~~

Awesome tips. Annoying things about Fujitsu that you need to open and close the flap many times but the only thing you need to do is to open flap, and press down that corner hole and it's on! Thanks!
