Morning, Richy! Streets are extremely tight for traffic and pedestrians - just sharing the same pathway. The potholes are next level deep! It's quite unique, but still similar in a way to SE Asia. Looks great, especially after where you have just come from. Good weather too, at 30 degrees all week. Those shopkeepers look mean and unfriendly at times selling the fake goods. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the mountainous areas in the coming vlogs, as I know nothing about Nepal. Enjoy your day!
Morning Greg, yes the shopkeepers have got a mean stare at times. It was great to get to Nepal it’s such a beautiful country mate and the weather was great.
Richy Congratulations on reaching 4K subscribers To The Best UA-cam Budget Travel Vlog There's only one way to go and that's up Kathmandu is such a vibrant city Brilliant Job Mate
Thanks Melanie, I am going there but unfortunately I won’t be able to go in the heritage area as the ticket price is too much for my daily budget. Travelling for so long there are a few places where I have to be strict with the costs.
Glad your out of Pakistan Richy bro keep up the excellent work we all watching anf hopefully more subscribers will grow so you can travel to more islands and more 👍
You are in a fantastic place Ritchie , I have been to Nepal three times and it’s one of my favourite countries , great people , fantastic scenery and nice food . But I hope you have packed your Imodium mate , lol .
Hi Bob, it is beautifully here isn’t it. Don’t mention Imodium lol I’m on antibiotics now from Pakistan, if I can’t see them cooking it clean I’m not eating it. Thanks mate
Awesome stuff Richie mate I went there many years ago I did the hike from there that goes through all the little villages a lot less hassle than Pakistan mate
Pokhara is a good place to visit I stayed at lakeside it was a nice spot you can take a trek from there poon hill is one trek not long 2 day trek around 3100 plus metres longer treks like Everest and Annapurna are long treks and expensive Chitwan national park is worth going to it’s closer to the border with India In Kathmandu lots to do including a flight over Everest in a plane with larger windows so you have a good view. Many temples in Kathmandu dubar square, boudhanath temple and pashupatinath temple you can watch the holy men burning dead bodies very interesting place Eat the momos and chow mein and dahl bat the local dishes of Nepal so much to do enjoy

A little off topic richy but whats kanchanburi like in november rain wise,i want to see hell fire pass, ive done a day trip from bangkok before to the cemetry & bridge but its 2 rushed,i want to spend a few days there
Hi Richy, looks nice there, i nearly visited Nepal many years ago but never made it sadly, i was in Goa with a friend and he went to Pokara and ended up making it to Everest base camp. Nepal looks like a place that will test your legs when you go into the mountains. cheers, nice vlog.
Congratulations on reaching 4000 so happy for you. Im in Tunisia at the minute, and an eye opener cows heads hung up outside shops 😢 Wfi is terrible so will catch up what ive missed when im home. Like the look of Nepal i get what people say about Pakistan but a lot of us had no idea until we've seen your vlogs what the real Pakistan is like. I can see your still not 100% well stay safe😊
Kathmandu looks so much better than Pakistan Richy looks more chilled, I’ve never been but it looks more built up than I’d imagined, looking forward to seeing your accommodation regards Steve.👍👍👍
Thanks Steve, yes Kathmandu is much bigger than I thought. My accommodation’s will be on tomorrow’s vlog mate. It’s poles apart from Pakistan here although I would like to see the north there👌🏻👍🏻
I worked as a Forest Officer in Nepal 99 -03. Pokhara is a good place to visit was in my work area. Further Mid West u have Jonsom where u have nice views of the Annapunna Mountains. Pokhara is well worth 👌 the visit
Looks like you've had a load lifted from your shoulders? Glad you got away from that 'last place'! * Nepali's are good people! Gurkhas are exceptional!
Hello Richie. I used to live in Nepal. Avoid Thamel its a tourist trap nothing more. Head to Asaam Chowk just up the road for real market experience. Also head to Durbar square. It cost a couple of quid for tourists but its well worth it. Swayabunath temple on the ring road is also worth visiting but watch out for the monkeys they can get aggressive if you have food. Have a good one
hi Rich great vid I want to be there so bad . One thing I have noticed is I never see any senior mobility scooters. and it seems strange to see all the english signs
Hi Dan, yes the scooters struggle here never mind mobility lol. As you can imagine it’s a very much toured country, I assume that’s the reason. I really enjoying it I can’t wait to see more mate.
Very true mate, there’s times in the street when I have to stop and say please I have said many times I don’t want to buy anything to stop them following me. One followed me in a cafe yesterday and stood waiting will I was ordering a cuppa.
You will get more subscriber here if you put more content continuously...also please visit bhaktapur city..it give you back to hundreds years ago vibes. Even I'm nepali I feel different when I visit there. So it's my suggestion visit bhaktapur durbar square and a whole city...you will loved it. Thanks me later😁
Thank you for the advice, I am still recovering in Kathmandu from food poisoning I got in Pakistan and I don’t want to spend too much time here. I will be back to see more of the City and surrounding places before I leave Nepal.👍🏻
This must be one of a very few videos of vloggers walking the streets of Kathmandu where NOBODY has approached you trying to get you to one of their art schools or the like 👍
I mentioned this in another vlog, when I have the camera in my hand they don’t seem to bother me. Without it there a pain in the arse at least 10/20 times a day👍🏻
I'd buy the clothes there. Surely they aren't "original" but the apparel gimmick that the "big brands" pull out is ludicrous. I bought a "fake" North Sports down jacket that's lasted me for 7 years now. One thing I'd suggest is to look for stitching... Sometimes they can be little wanky, but then again, if it ain't too hideous, it will basically do the job. Heard there is a construction/expansion spree going on there now. So I wouldn't be surprised of the dusty/wobbly/slippery roads.
Thanks mate that’s very true the likes of North Face etc doesn’t really appeal to me. The problem I have is I travel extremely lightly. There is a lot of construction and improvements with the infrastructure here which is good to see. With the past troubles here with earthquakes it’s inspiring to see the people keep on fighting with a smile on their face.
Have a great time. You've landed there in the perfect time, just as monsoon's coming to an end and the rise of "peak tourist season". Best wishes mate.
Nepal can be quite expensive compared to other south asian countries. But still, dont fall for scams. Nepal iss secure, the police does actually take security of tourists very seriously. If you record a tape of a person with their face in it scamming you inside Kathmandu(in public places or transport) and it gets shared to the police, they will likely get the person investigated. But its not really effective in shops. Those guys just charge whatever they want. So you should just go on one of those nepali ecommerce websites(one is daraz) and check the real price. Its just better to avoid it.
Dont give the street kids crackers or money or anything, they will trade it 200m away for glue to get f-ed up.. I did that misstace while having a tea in Thamel, 20 min later i saw the kid he almost couldent walk and really was in a bad shape.. I felt so bad but i didnt know
@@ParkinsonRaw Yeah they are all dirty and broken clothes, terrible to se so obv you wanna help... but 3 years ago when i last visit Nepal i saw just a few of them in 3 month..
