The bloke giving you negative comments mate is a a dosser let the haters hate your living the life remember that richy . I have watched you from the beginning your very inspirational especially with your budget traveling way ❤
A cracker Richy, so much colour & greenery, must be like walking in a kaleidescope! Noticed a lot of bakeries, smart schoolkids & decent roads, what an upgrade from Karachi.😁
Thanks, it is very busy mate, understandably being the capital but it’s not over powering in any way. For such a big City I think the population is about 1.7 million.
Looks a nice place lots of shops and clean. The accommodation looks really good to. Followed your journey from the start, and some of the comments boil my blood. The fact they are adults and should know better they must lead very sad lives. Youve done so much and seen and experienced more in the last 12 months than they ever will jealousy thats what it is. Yes we are family and im proud of what your doing it takes a lot of guts. But i really enjoy seeing all the different places you go to i have learnt so much from watching the channel 😊
Hi June, it is lovely here. The trolls🤣you know me it’s water off a ducks back and yes some people lead very sad lives getting their kicks from it. Thank you😊
I was last in Nepal in 1987,so as you can imagine, it’s changed a bit! A great country with really genuine people(once you get outside of the touristed areas for sure) I’m surprised Richy you haven’t got any really decent silicone earplugs whenever you’re in SE Asia…I couldn’t travel with out them….keep these videos coming mate
Hi mate, I can imagine it’s changed a hell of a lot. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of the country in the rural areas. I’ve never had to much trouble sleeping but that bell was a right pain. I’ll have to get some for back up, thanks
take no notice of the knockers mate there just jealous that your out there doing what you love and all they have is a mundane job and match of the day to look forward to on a weekend
Hi Richie why don’t you look at overland to Darjeeling, we found this area a bit more westernised, not as much hassle and amazing scenery, loads of nice walks. Good introduction to India. We flew from Siliguri to Thailand via Kolkata after 5 weeks in India.
Hi Keith thanks for the tip, i am thinking about India but in the back of my mind I’m also thinking Pakistan was a struggle for a couple of weeks, then before leaving I got a bacterial infection for the last two weeks. I dont know if I’m ready to jump into another Pakistan like environment like India just yet. I know what you mean it’s an easy introduction but then I’m in the lions pit when I leave. I’m not sure whether just to go with somewhere I know after here for a month or so and get myself fit and right before gambling again. Going there and getting deli belly is the last thing my body needs right now.
@@ParkinsonRaw hi mate i lived a year in india and im from burnley lancashire (pakistan) and i can say dont miss out on india while there. its not like pakistan in most places but its also not like nepal in most places. kind of in between with the hassle. india has everything you want depending on where you go and what time of year. if you would like any advice just ask. i was also in pokhara for 4 months living. i travelled over land via bus from india to pokhara... it was absolutely unreal of an experience but maybe i would treat myself to a plane next time haha. dont go to dehli in india.. or most big northern cities it wont be your thing. i spent 8 months alone in himalayas only from nepal to pakistan. get on the ride of your life mate! much love from uk
An idea for you go to India abd get a train from Puri which is below Kolkata and get the Gujarat Express it takes 36 hours thru India to the opposite coast.
I’ve no doubt there is mate but I travel on a budget and these are the places I stayed in. When I come back to Kathmandu I will be exploring more of the city.
Hi Richy, that Nepali Heritage Hotel looks a great choice, really nice and clean. Do they chew that bettle leaf and nut there that makes all the teethe and saliva red? I was wondering if that might be why the no spitting sighn was there. When i was in Mandalay in Burma the roads and pavements where all red and pinkish with spitting that stuff. That guy trying to overcharge for the orange juice reminded me of the two prices in Thailand, tourists pay more, can't be doing with that, looks nice and quiet and chilled out there, nice vlog, thanks.
Hi Billy, the heritage was great and cheap. I’m not sure what it is. I thought it was what they chewed and spit in Pakistan and that was like a fruit powder sachet to give them energy. Yes the age old problem of dual pricing is a pain in the arse. I keep getting messages off holiday makers who just don’t understand and go away for a month with bottomless pockets. That is where our problem comes from, thanks mate.
Hi Glenn it was really nice there mate. Yes I’m going further into the country in tomorrow’s vlog and I’ll be here for a month. I’m in no rush it’s beautiful here.
The nightlife in Kathmandu would be interesting (if there is one?). What I've seen so far is fake northface jackets and overpriced bakeries. There must be a go to place for the backpackers and cheap prices
There is nightlife here Martin but it’s mostly roof top bars and the bakery’s are by no means overpriced. This country has so much character in the people, buildings and scenery, if all you’ve seen is fake jackets I’ll be highly surprised. I am going through more of the country but as I’ve said in vlogs I’m just struggling atm with stomach problems from Pakistan and I’m on antibiotics to sort it.
Hi just watch this and other great vlog I was listening and you said not sure if to see about visa for India or go back to Thailand. My little tip would be go into the visa place see how long or may take as looks like you are still stsying there for abit than see if they say it may take so long or maybe pop into the India embassy as you walk pass it and see (if you can go in) Both hotels look good and very good prices
Thank you Jason, I’ve looked right into the visa’s and I know how to do it mate. The decision now is do I want to go, I’m currently watching plenty of raw vlogs on it not the ones that say everything is perfect all the time not the up’s and down’s.
You are right… he should dump the price list… and they say it’s fresh juice… you never know what do when they make juice…I have seen them adding rotten fruits that are hidden somewhere inside.
Ahh that’s sounds awful, to be honest I always like to stick my head over and watch to make sure the equipment is clean but I’ll keep my eye on the fruit too. Thanks mate
If you really want to see the mountains and all then step out of that area and go to the more close to mountain area then you can see the exact Kathmandu view. Also there are hotels and hostels everywhere so that's a better option from my point of view.
No need to be sorry, I read monkey temple a few places. I think I refers to there being lots of monkeys there, quite offensive? Anybody can be offended if they look for it in my opinion, if it’s not said in an offensive way there shouldn’t be a problem mate.
@ no you didn’t say it in a offensive way but it’s a place of worship… it’s sacred to both Buddhist and Hindus alike.. those who refers it as a monkey temple are ignorant of the shrines significance 🙏🙏
Hi Richie mate ten quid a night I would be well happy with that room I went there many years ago and they tried to rip tourists off then as well stupid since they don’t get any sale at all
Hey Dave, it is very cheap here mate but low season too. I think they’ve definitely adapted there thoughts, it’s ridiculous when I go places and they do that and end up earning nothing. At some point the penny had to drop ha
I think that orange juice seller, maybe from India they don’t look very friendly or he don’t look very friendly not business man oh most Indian people eat nutmeg Kalpan or tobacco chewing the spit everywhere not very civil eyes don’t worry you’ll be alright. I know you would not spit like Indian people does sound like you come from Scotland hope you had a wonderful time in Nepal, thank you for your video.

You’re obviously fine not paying extra, but don’t see it as robbery. If aliens came down and spilled gold, who wouldn’t add a bit to the standard cost?!,
I have travelled more places in the world than I can remember Chad so please don’t lecture me on giving. Many places are much poorer than here in Nepal where tourism as you know is huge. I always shop, eat and support where the locals live and work. As far as westerners being MUCH wealthier I don’t know where your from but in the north of England I see many many people living to work and still struggle to feed, house and let alone to be able to spend time with there family. I’m sure we can both agree that’s no way to enjoy life which is so short. I’m also sure you’ll understand if I take this comment with a pinch of salt.
