Hopefully you won't get confused. I actually figured out for the first ring, you don't have to spin dash then jump, you can just spin dash and you'll land inside that room.

For all of you that have trouble with rings 3 and 4, use the thunder shield for an extra jump.

I do it took me 9 minutes and 11 seconds to beat act 1 and 14 minutes and 32 seconds to beat act 2
know why I hate this stage? because the last fucking red ring won't show up. I have played the stage so many times and I can't find it. and no. I didn't collect the ring already. here is some proof: i remember that I only cared about completing the stage and didn't care about the rings. I remember back to my first time playing the game that I didn't collect the red ring and if I did collect it, how come I don't have the homing attack yet!?

This was great for the most part, but did you HAVE to crossfade away after getting the fourth Red Ring and then expect the viewers to be able to know how to get where you ended up being next?! The video was easy to follow along with until that point!

Sega knew this was the most annoying stage and made us go through it again to get the homing attack. Thanks for the help!
I got the Homing Attack skill for Classic Sonic after getting all the red rings in this stage. It's pretty fun going through the Classic Sonic's stages with the ability to use the homing attack like Modern Sonic.

i hated this level too until i figured out you could spin dash during spikes. you can bypass so much of the level by doing that, its awesome.
I love how the spin wisp thing just goes left/right whenever it fucking feels like it. like when you're upside down on the ceiling, on the exact same fucking spot. left will make you go left one time and right the other. it just does whatever the fuck it wants. thats what i play this shit for. awesome
finally after too many years i got EVERY SINGLE RED RING IN EVERY SINGLE STAGE AND HAVE EVERY SINGLE STAGE done including the challenges i have maxed out the game

Rings #3 and #4 took me 20 lifes to get,i got angry on the 11st time,but when i got it,i started singing "HAAALLELLUJAH!!!"

the person under me is right and i would like to add that you can do a spin dash and a carefully timed jump to make it on the right side than jump on the platforms and make your way to the ring this is for red star ring 3
@PapercutTwilight Act 2 is being made now, but it's the longest one. It may be a couple hours for it to finish rendering. It will be up today tho.

Guys if you want to find the star rings in act 2, the friend outside the level is pretty specific in that act. I got 2 by winging it on my first run through, and got my last 3 just by following his clues... If you can't figure it out and have to wait for sadface to upload, then I don't know what to tell you. Lol If so be patient.

so... i had recently installed some mods and i decided to take them down so i could get homing attack... i completed planet wisp with all red rings and it said i unlocked the skill... when i wen to the skill shop it was no where to be found... can someone please help me.
You don't buy it, it's automatically placed into your skill set. You've probably figured this out by now, but I might as well help.

For one of the worst levesl, the red rings weren't that bad.

It was a cool twist for them to have all the classic sonic levels be better than modern up to that point, and then make planet wisp awful

EVERYONE BACK OFF THIS STAGE its soo good. those that hate it cant do the SPIKES!!!! lack skills. i hated this stage at first but got my game up n now i love it. i whizz through thiss like a pro. i set a challenge . nail act 1 without taking damage whoever has most rings at end is the pro of planet wisp.. post reply to this video.

The 3rd and 4th Red Rings are Serious bitches to get, Considering that if you fall, it's pretty much impossible to get them anymore, so I had to kill myself at least 12 times just to get them all.

You have no idea how much I hated the 2nd Red Star Ring of this stage, but not as much as I hated the first one of City Escape Act 2
