I had to get candle wax off my couch and hardwood floor once. I used and iron and paper towels. It's recommended that you use a paper bag but you just put the bag over the candle wax and then iron over top. The wax should stick to the bag. Worked like a charm for me!

Let me know if you guys have more methods of removing pesky candle wax. Also, I'm wayyyy too obsessed with candles :-o

Thank you!! Make sense. I use to warm the wax with the flame of another candle which liquify but was leaving soot on the underside ... which was shall I say ... counterproductive ha ha

I was cleaning and on an old tabletop there was melted candle wax that has been melted and hardened on there for several years, I touched it and I was wondering does the residue stay on your skin for a long time? if I wash my hands with soap will the wax residue still be present on my skin?
