I also did these as centerpieces for my daughters wedding, and I also added a submersible 10 LED waterproof light in the bottoms of each one. The waterproof light could change colors and was operated with a remote control. Her guests loved the centerpieces.
You can use the water beads in your flower pots. Mix them in the soil while they are dry, plant as usual. Afterwards, give it a good soak. It helps to keep the pots from drying out.
Unique and outstanding! Beautiful centerpieces for all occasions. If my precious Mother was still with me she would request and receive one for every room. Simply lovely Julie. Well done.
Please don’t be hurt, but I LOVE to see your “oopsies” AND how you fixed them! You’re human! Like me! And I LOVE your whole channel! Cheers from the US!
Lol, I couldn't understand all the hype until you said "now this is where the magic happens", and poured the water back in. I was literally like WOW! You weren't wrong! How beautiful!!! Can't wait to try this! I so love hearing your excitement too, I love how 'real' you are, it makes me always enjoy each and every vid you share. Your just gorgeous Julie!
I loved your squealing excitement as much as I enjoyed the video. It's only when you said, " Watch the magic happen" that I understood what was special about the water beads. It was your own excitement which kept me smiling till the end. Loved your video.
I must say I love watching your videos. I live in Canada and I look forward to watching you in the evenings. You are an amazing person and you help me a lot. I love your enthusiasm and how you let us go through the journeys with you. You made me laugh along with you tonight and I thank you.
Hey!! Thank you for being disorganised!! I found it so natural and easy to relate to and super enjoyable. You show us that there's a process, and mistakes can be made, and we can do it too.
Thank you Tammy, that was so much fun. I have never tried these but now I think I’m going to have to. Thank you again my dear. I send you love and light.❤❤
I made those about 20 yrs ago for myself & a couple of friends for X-mas. I filled the vases with red hard cranberries & the floating candles were white with red & green stripes that looked like big X-mas candies. They looked soo cute!!!
These are adorable!! I made these for my daughters' weddings. Place them on a mirrored tray and add a fairy light (the really small button type) and oh my goodness it just puts it over the edge! 💕
I did this exact water beads and floating candles for my daughters wedding decor. I added a waterproof light at the bottom. It was so beautiful. They were along the tables. You can also submerge a flower stem like the ones you have in your video into the gel beads as well it keeps it in place and looks stunning. Silk orchids look amazing.
@@rubynguyen4346 Once water beads were expanded I emptied the water and transferred in plastic tote box. Add water again and the beads become . The flowers inside stay in place.
I did this for the centrepieces for our wedding 6 years ago. They looked absolutely beautiful on the tables. Received lots of compliments and people couldn’t figure out how our large pearls were just floating in the vases. Lots of fun to make.
You're lovely... You make mistakes... Your humble & don't pretend you know everything and when it all turns out right your so proud of yourself ❤ it's lovely to see & I really enjoy your videos 💜❤💜
This was a nice diversion from our everyday resin and paint projects. Thank you…. It was fun watching you when the water beads started bouncing around 😂
Beautiful! I found the water beads needed maintenance, you have to keep the water fill and also clean so you have to drain, rinse and refill. But they are fun!
This is a beautiful piece of non resin art you did a great job. Will patiently wait for the bigger water beads. I really enjoyed the video it was different and beautiful.
Oh my goodness, so stinking cool! I've heard of these, but I don't think I've ever seen them. Was so awesome when you poured the water in and the water beads disappeared. xoxoxo
WOW Julie you never fail to amaze me I absolutely love LOVE these water beads and pearls can't wait to order vases water beads pearls and floating candles AMAZING video 🤗

It was so amazing that you were just yourself. And you did a great video. It did great exploiting on what you were doing in a project look Beautiful.
I remember making these same kinds of candles at least 25 years ago. I guess it’s like they say, wait long enough and everything comes around again. The pearls are a nice addition.
I’ve only just seen this and was anxious to give it ago. However checking out the water beads on the internet I thought I should draw your attention to the warnings. These are fatal if consumed by animals or humans as they continue to swell internally and cannot be detected by X-ray or the like. Having several pets and being a bit clumsy I decided to give it a miss. Love watching your channel and enjoy listening to you X
2 mo ago. I think it’s really pretty. I have some my sister talked me into buying 8 years or so ago to use for fresh flowers but I really like this idea. Thank you.
I have thought about the underwater light as well, but I don’t like the idea that you have to turn it on before you submerge it. Just seems like a waste of battery. A lady committed further up that she had used a remote control submersible LED light I’m just wondering where you buy those from?
Anything resembling a bead like you are working with, a bargain store tray with 2”/5 cm sides (after Christmas clearance is a good time to score some) or at least a soda flat cut high; and a cheapest thin nonskid shelf liner (rubbery holes lacy looking). Usually takes the bounce out. Same source for a really cheap set of plastic funnels. Cut the spout part off as needed and block the rest of the opening with the funnel. For vases like that, use distilled water and cover the container that you soak the beads in. More likely to have your water cloud and/or have dark green, grey or black mold grow. Keep your creations out of the sun afterwards.
@@trisha7976 if you can keep the dust out of them ( most house dust in most places is about 90% shed skin particles and dust mites) and keep them topped up with distilled water) several months to a few years. Best if you’re going to have something like that for more than a season, have it made in poured resin. Then it’s forever.
@@user-ml3hl6vr4t Thank you. I think I'm going to do this. Resin is expensive if you're doing large projects like this. I use it to make jewelry but the pieces are small and a $25 kit last a long time. I'm kinda thrifty with crafts. 😂
@@trisha7976 I’m getting into wood turning with resin. I’m buying TotalBoat deep pour 2:1 by the three gallon batch now. I plan pours with my collection of smaller molds set up for any extra down to a few drops size. Big and/or deep get pressure, small get vacuum. A one quart kit can do a few vases worth, or several little molds. Maybe if you have a close by wood turner or slab pour person, you can work it out with them to have something poured and cured. I wish you a very creative future.

I think that was the original purpose, in fact.
This is what I do. I put them in my hanging baskets and wall containers
For others who read this, do not put to many in, I know people don’t think about the swelling 😂
They come in squares as well ❤❤❤
