  • Ss9900 output pwr is certainly very good for a 10m radio.

I just bought this radio, and I am very happy with it. It gets a little hot, but I have set up a little fan back there to cool it down between the transmitting, so now it's working perfectly. I live in Norway (Oslo) and at the evenings it is good propagations on the 10 and 11m band. Thank's for this vidio of the radio, best 73's from me.

my radio used to jump up or down when keying the mic. I found cleaning the mic switch contact cleaner stopped 80% of that problem.

Did you turn up the power inside the radio? Mine does nowhere near that on ssb. It draws less than 10amp on fm and on ssb with a constant tone its even less than 10amp. People have reported them not been variable output on ssb? Think mines just variable on am and fm. In the manual there not rated anywhere near 80 or 90 watt???

My Anytone AT 6666 is showing more or less what yours is, apart from mine shows about 60w on FM...
Great little radio, although could be better on receive and a little quiet. Fantastic audio reports! Rear of the radio does get extremely hot on full power. Rigged up 2 fans to cool it. Alternatively power down and use an amp to give the radio a break!

power output will be the least of your worries if you buy one...my like many other jumps around in freq when using ptt..no cure for that..very annoying..no service manual or diagrams availible..nice radio but QC is dire.
