Everything about your type of sea angling is "alien" compared to here in Florida. But I find it, your videos and your screen persona to be both fascinating and soothing.
Hi jansen you ok mate. Another cracking vid i enjoyed the watch. What beautiful fish aswel. The last couple of sessions have been dabs and baby codling for me up here on the humber lol. All the best jansen from grimsby.
excellent video Jensen! And some excellent fish. A 13.8 huss is a beauty by anyone standards! I'm locked up with covid so this was a nice relaxing watch with great action. I should be down on a spur dog trip today but it's obviously been cancelled. Thanks fo sharing
Great bit of coastline that for a specimen Huss, big edge I found I using a Chinu top hook as they tend to go in and stay in. And either 200lb bite trace or wire as there are tope down there 👀. 5/0 varivas or mustard Chinu big edge
Awesome mate, you’re back. Just need to encourage my wife to take the kids swimming without me this evening, so I can get some uninterrupted time to soak this video all up. 🤞🏻
Finally got to watch this and it didn’t disappoint. Really great marks and some exciting action throughout. Brilliantly put together, well thought out and very informative. May I ask one question and gather your opinion, although to be fair I have loads of questions. Recently purchased a Vass waterproof lightweight jacket. Dismissed the Guy Cotten you were wearing based on price and how often I get to fish, living in land locked West Yorkshire. Five wet days out, two fishing, two dog walking and sadly it’s starting to leak already. Possibly I’ve damaged it, possibly there’s a fault, I can’t quite tell. Don’t want to discredit Vass as they make a great product ordinarily, but after the experience and seeing you wearing the Guy Cotten, would you recommend it based on your experience?
@@christravis3270 Glad you enjoyed the show. The GC Top Surf Comfort smock is something else. Very high quality feel to it, waterproof, wind proof and a decent cut so you can move about in it. Highly recommended!🙂🎣
Wonderful , thanks for sharing that. I love how casual conger catches are to you , they are still a significant catch here in Sussex. Agreed that water colour looked just right - I miss fishing for Huss on the llyn and they started laying! In late March , are the seasons getting earlier or do the North Welsh Huss just arrive later ? Again top video 👍👍 Thanks again
Thanks Matt. It is a little early for the huss to lay, but it seems that the seasons have been upside down for a few years now. Perhaps it’s because on the whole, our winters are now milder? Who knows, but it’s always fun trying!🙂🎣
That was a real treat Jansen, best on the net by far. Hope you have more on the way?are the saltiga 30H available anymore? Been Looking, cant find any. Tight Lines.
Loving the quality of photography on these productions Jansen. Worth the wait 👏. What a luxurious mark for the Bristol Channel too. Have you ever fished the start of the it, Heartland Quay?
Enjoying the videos, keep them coming..... What reels were you using, you did say in the video but my hearing not so good so couldn't hear properly. Thanks
The first half of the video is filmed at Porlock. If you fish the left hand side of the beach using a fresh rockling fillet for bait you’ll have a good chance of a huss between now and May. Fish in the dark for best results. Thanks for the sub and tight lines!🙂🎣
I’ve actually just chucked it in the van for today’s session. It’s very good, as weather proof as anything I’ve used and a great cut so you can move about in it easy enough too🙂🎣
Thanks Peter! A friend of mine, Michael Constantino, who now lives in Nashville composed that one for me, it has no name as such, but glad you enjoyed it🙂🎣
@@thegamblingangler thanks jenson I have the 40&50 models for my boat - I see your reel had been magged as if you don’t mind me asking where did You get them done
I'm going to Minehead in a couple of months just to spend a week fishing, can anyone recommend two decent quality fixed spool reels, roughly costing around £70 each. I want something that will hold plenty of mono rather than braid. In fact any tackle info would be good as I haven't bought anything yet, need couple decent rods too.
Hi Matt, something like this would be ideal. You don’t need anything too fancy if you’re new to the sport🙂🎣 www.veals.co.uk/product/sonik-dominator-xs-10000-surf-reel/?aff=27
@thegamblingangler thanks for taking the time to answer buddy, I'd actually been looking at sonik reels already so I'm gonna buy a couple. Also could you recommend a couple of decent rods for the Bristol channel roughly £100 each. I plan to start doing a bit of sea fishing when I get my driving licence sorted.

I can believe your targeting hounds already. I thought it was a little early yet. Made me wanting to get out on them myself
The first half of the video was shot last summer, I wish the weather was like that now!😁🎣

Is this the far left hand side off Porlock and cracking fish
I have never fished that far down at porlock in the second part of your video I fort it was to snaggy do u get smoothound down there to 🎣
It can be snaggy in places, Porlock Bay itself is as good a spot as any for smoothhound fishing🙂🎣

Tronixpro make some decent large drop nets, worth a look!
I'd get snagged on every boulder on that beach without fail!
I need to go there where is it Jensen
Are you using the new Saltist 18 there Jansen? How do they compare to the BG's and Hyperspeeds from before (which I loved)
Yes, this is the one. Very impressive and casts a bit better than the BG too…..

what were you expecting to catch bigger than a dog or hound?
Always the chance of a big eel from either mark
How did you get that nasty cut?

Is this recently or last year ?
A bit of both, please read the video description for details🙂
