Now on my Bucket List to go out on the "Lorna Doone" what a boat and in such good condition, Tommo must be really proud of it. As for your filming excellent as always and the Smooth Hounds are such an attractive fish. Thanks for posting and looking forward to the second episode.
hi graeme. love your videos. going out for the first time since lock down on charter for smooth hound, thornback and bass .keep up the great work and stay safe.
I agree with the skipper about smoothhounds taking small baits, the only time I catch Smutt's is when I'm Bream fishing in the solent using squid strip on size 4 carp hooks.Don't make us wait too long for epide two please Graeme.
This is a real bone of contention. South of Watchet and also in the County of Somerset the famous battle of Sedgemore was fought in 1685 over this very jam/cream precedence. There is less violence today but some families haven’t spoken for over 335 years.....
Hi Graeme, Love your videos, do you think you could do a fly-fishing challenge with Mike Old fashioned tackle versus more modern stuff. Kind of split cane rod versus carbon fibre.
I know.... Any fish is a good fish, right? I've spent most of my adult life trying to stay away from those things. Those & Skates & Rays have been my bane. Glad you had a good day & enjoyed yourself.
I did explain in the film, it is called uptiding, you cast away as fish in shallow water and fast tides are believed to spook from vibrations on the hull and anchor rope.
@@TAFishing I saw your explanation in the other video, but already posted this one. So decided to let it here. Still, you state 'are believed to spook from vibrations on the hull and anchor rope'. I'm no seafisher, so I don't know any better, But seagulls -> small head/small brain(?) follow fishing boats, because they know 'free meal', when what not to keep is washed overboard. Do fish the same? Perhaps they think, when hearing vibrations on the hull of a fising boat, 'free meal' as well, since no more used bait is chucked overboard as well. Could you 'in the name of science'', just let your line out on one rod, without casting, and see what happens? So it no longer 'is believed', but 'is profen?
I'd put some lug on and hope for something I can actually eat..hounds, doggies, rays, conger..i mean good funish i spose but after a while..yawn...nothing against the channel Graham
Each to their own. Some anglers fish to eat ....some fish catch and release..We never kept a single fish, but if they had been Plaice it might be different !!
Working the night shift on a break and watching TA fishing thanks Graham and tommo

Great stuff Graham 👍🏼
Tommo is looking trim, always enjoy it when you are out on the Bristol channel. Seems like like some of the best fishing in the UK is to be had there.
Its extremely consistent.
Love the intro Graham 👍

Tomorrow(Sunday 10am)
Love the intro 😁
But what kind of sadistic person puts the cream on a scone before the jam 😮😭😭🤣
With several siblings we were always taught to get the cream on early otherwise it will all be gone by the time you’ve finished putting the jam on! 😂😋
This is a real bone of contention. South of Watchet and also in the County of Somerset the famous battle of Sedgemore was fought in 1685 over this very jam/cream precedence. There is less violence today but some families haven’t spoken for over 335 years.....
Good job👍
nice video.that cat looks immaculate.
It is,and plenty of space for walk around fishing.
O yes I been waiting for this all week . I like big kid waiting for Christmas to come . 👍
Tommo is so posh. Like a human Gin and Tonic
Gutted had pur charter cancelled this morning great video tho tight lines
I've not been sea fishing for decades. What put me off was the gratuitous use of gaffs to land fish. Good to see the net in action.
Skipper needs a hat, he's getting a little red. 😉
I like his anker chain to rope ratio "monologue" from nowhere, and Paula Abdul sunglasses. Legend

Hi, at 8'37" does anyone know what bait that is ? Thanks
Nice video Graeme 👌, could of said something 😀. Everyone else has covered all the basics 😉.
Getting the play with words in the title made me feel old!!
Gonna need a bigger.........landing net handle!
Who plays the guitar in these films??
3 and a half hour drive was it Graham?
Got to love the traffic. And the good old A39 with a tractor in front of you.
You are on a boat, fairly far away from the coast, why cast away so far from the boat?
I did explain in the film, it is called uptiding, you cast away as fish in shallow water and fast tides are believed to spook from vibrations on the hull and anchor rope.

For us foreigners- what does a charter fishing trip like this cost?
That's what I need to do. Get out on a boat.
you play bluesy sort of rock.
Yep,its what I like , not for everyone ,but in life you can never please everyone.
@@TAFishing that's true.
CAPT MATT HANCOCK
Thank the Lord for Donegal cause that water looks like fishing in a sewer.
But absolutely rammed with fish...One of the most productive places I have fished, and very reliable.
Large rivers carry lots of silt, large tidal changes and strong currents keep a lot of it continually suspended in the water.
John get some decent bait buddy... Love your videos but I think you always hinder yourself by not having the best and freshest bait available
