As someone who used to main a ranger hunter with a wirelance/rifle, I am so glad to have slayer, seriously... It scratches every itch I was missing from phantom riffle on base PSO2.

Well, its no luster, but luster would be a pretty damn high bar to overcome anyway. Think ill use ranger as a sub just to have access to the grenade toss weapon action and quick pp recovery with spreadshot.
Slayer has been the most fun I've had in this game since it's launch.

An okay time to get into it now with the 2nd anniversary event ongoing.
Still not as many fun things to fight as I'd like, but there's probably a good amount of things to do if you last played before or during Retem.

I wanna know what your ensemble consists of.
Also slayers: giving rangers, gunners and bow bravers a piece of the fast paced and dangerous life katana bravers revel in even before the optimization skill and as a new ranged class to play with.
Fit is N-Carretera hair, Volkia body, N-Solis arms, Raiji legs, with Hagun Leg Guards and Sky Radar as decor.
Weapon camo is Ex Schleile (Ixschrayla on JP).
Slayer gunblade doesn't go that strong as sub class, it losing much of its power as sub and very weak.

If you're not ranger main you're not ranger you are something else
@@gkagara You know your units equipped and augmented mainly for ranged attack when playing as ranger, gunner or bow braver? You can use it for slayer so no need to reinvest in a new set of armor. Im aware the optimization skill for main class braver exists tho but when it comes to the ranged category gunblade is the closest to the fast paced action people see in katana bravers, not even tmgs come as close to the speed gunblade goes. Also that optimization skill came later down the line so chances are folks augmented with melee for katana.

Right now there are good drops from the limited time quests and the resol forest and candied labs battle areas. At the point you reach max level the game becomes more about grinding for cool loot and upgrades to your weapons. There are also level 80 gigantix enemies in the field that offer good challenge if you’re level 75

I have at least one outfit preset spot dedicated to CAST parts, I just rarely ever use them for videos
Class don't need Potency Floor
I use Gunblaze wired multi with Gunblade Fixa fatale 5 and all in damage don't care potency floor from mastery, alts secreta IV and addi deft..
Gunblaze for UQ and Neos Fatale 4 for Duel Quest

Ok i haven't played luster in base, so how good is slayer to play compared to it
I think Slayer is twitchier but more straightforward. It doesn't flow as good or have as many tools, but is fairly quick to pick up.
I think Luster flows better and has more options when it comes to offense, but by that same merit there's more systems and nuances to chew through (especially with a lot of its class skills being level-gated in basegame)
For me slayer's a much easier gunblade using class to play as compared to luster, especially on controller.
Are all your augments potency based?
Ive been using slayer since its launch, and i don't remember that other slash move you use? I know the huge Potency one you used a few times, but which one us that other move that does that double slash hit? (looks like it does a X)
That's the weapon action counter I think. parry with WA then press was again
@@remz02 Ah ok, that could explain it. Cause normally i just use the dash/slash/blast to face PA and the highest PA 😅, otherwise i don't use the other ones that often.
ZNRenova covers it more but you basically have four ways to do counter attacks, using weapon action or side step and after that either nornal attack or weapon action.
