I have never gotten scammed before surprisingly, But there was one time there was a guy tried to get into my Steam account through a fake team voting website, also this is some good content keep it up.
Thankfully, the one time I got scammed, Valve trade locked the guy who had my items. The best part, it was an empty inventory trying to pass as a trade bot. So he's stuck with nothing but those two hats forever LOL
Immediately after I bought an unusual from Loz, the guy you showed at 6:55, a weird ninja added me on Discord and wanted me to send him a link to my backpack. Needless to say, Loz immediately told me that the guy was a scammer. Excellent service! I would buy an unusual Mean Captain with the Cloud Nine effect if he has it available.
I never got scammed on TF2. I learned a lot of those lessons on Runescape back in 2006 lol. Anyone adding me with a private inventory is just insta-blocked. Even if they had good intentions, I will never know.
Way back in the day, during the era of TF2outpost, I lost my Unusual Harvest Moon Full Metal Drill Hat to a phishing scam. Now I did lose ALL of my items, but it wasn't that much in total, but the thing that stung me the most is that I really liked that hat and was so happy about it since I had just unboxed it about an hour or so before I lost it to the phishing scam. But I did eventually get it back with the help of Steam Support, they gave me another copy of the hat and since that day, there are now two of them! (Valve doesn't do this anymore, so don't try to get your items that way) Anywho, I never got scammed after that day. You live, you learn.
The only time I got "scammed" was by trusting a friend of mine with a trade for his unusual that devalued after a week or so and lost around 15 keys on that trade, but I scammed some kid back in the day on a French community server for some server money and scammed for like 7 keys back then, that was not my first intention to scam the kid, if I had one key for 100K server points, I would have been more than happy but took the trade offer anyways and it's only later on that I understood that even a 1 key trade would have been scamming the person, as once the server is turned off, they lose what they "bought"
I’m always very surprised people get scammed like you did. I get people trying to scam me and for me it’s always very clear they are a scammer. I enjoy wasting there time and having funny conversations with them
Hello there i started watching your videos and made huge profit ( for me ) trading low tier unusuals :D from few Keys it went into 50 Keys just in 2/3 weeks and it’s still growing ! Thanks
I got scammed the same way you did. I lost my Shooting Star, GIGER Counter, my strange scarf cosmetic, my yellow-painted binoculars, a bunch of war painted weapons, my bread sapper reskin, a lot of my taunts, and bought 20 keys for him, etc… i remember the exact date: June 20th 2024 on a Thursday. haven’t traded since. i was so stupid.
Wish I had seen this video a couple years ago. Back then, I got into trading and was actually making some good progress. But I was a stupid kid and logged into some random TF2 competitive website. After a couple days and I tried to make a trade, and the item was gone. I knew I got scammed and pretty soon some guy with some name like "Steam Worker John" or something like that told me I had been hijacked. I trusted him because he was level like 42 and had all these badges and stuff and he seemed legit. He told me that I had to give him the items in the next 24 hours or else I would be banned. I know it sounds stupid, but at the time I was extremely stressed so without thinking I quickly sent the items over. And I never got them back.
Damn i got scammed in the same way but on mannco store but i try get my keys back by just playing cs2 but i love this video and scammers are big problem in trading in tf2 so we need check everything many times thanks again for that video

Forgor to say love the vid. Still have PTSD from the scam 😔. Since it was my gifts they took.
As of now, everyone adding you but with private or keyless inventories is 100% scammer, especially when u listed something on SCM.

Sadly learnt the hard way
Quick tip, check if the item being offered is craftable or non craftable. Trust me there is a difference
I tried that once lol, good thing I was aware the lucky no. 42 had a cheaper non craftable
Very good video mate , thank you

oh and that conversetion also is the same but on discord and first flag was no same servers
i got scammed , but only on 15 keys.
never accept a random friend request. No one adds other people at 'random'. Rest assured they have a reason for wanting to add you. To scam you:)
I have a backpack worth like 500 keys, how long would it take to turn that into 1500 keys
Many factors to consider, but I think it's possible to do it in 6 - 12 months if you're consistent.
@@spbaconI don’t need marketplace tf seller right?
@@LarksGaming don't need it but it can help
i got scammed off like $100 all together
Thanks but too late
Hey unrelated to the video but can you help me buy my first unusual? I have 2 keys and around 24 refined metal
well you'll need more keys to buy your first unusual hat, cheapest ones on the market are over 7 keys.
@@spbacon I'm not saying I want a hat I will buy a taunt
