- Payitaht Abdulhamid takes us back in time to the fight for the existence of the Ottoman Empire. The story depicts the life of Sultan Abdulhamid Han who ascended the throne in 1876 and remained on the post for 33 years. It also follows the events that took place in the Ottoman State and around the world during the time of the “Almighty Sultan”.
Apparently Abdulhamid did make a prosthetic leg for a young Armenian boy called Onnik. His mother, in turn, revealed how Western powers spread fake news. She said: 'They call you a murderer, but now you've made a leg for my child with your own hands. It seems that you are a person who has a big heart that transcends state borders and one that cares about the health of even a disabled kid.'
MashaAllah many people believe Sultan Abdulhamid to be one of the many Auliya.

@@khzr1707 Actually turkish dramas have so many episodes unlike the dramas of my country Pakistan where 1 season of a drama is completed in 20 to 25 episodes and also 1 episode is of 40 minutes only. If the speed remains same then it will take years to get finish. In turkey 1 episode is of 2 hours. Atleast they should upload a full 2 hour episode once a week. Its more than uploading 2 episodes of 40 minutes

I love this series of power struggle and state management but I must say that the producers are aware that the only "Christian" character, Hiram, being depicted as a bloodthirsty villain. I have no issue that he is one of the antagonists but its quite obvious any religious groups other than Islam is put in an unfavorable light. Itd be a bit more convincing, again my opinion, that the show would have a hero and antagonist from each group to show the Ottoman Empires division
To be fair, there was the bit part of the priest the soup maker saved earlier in the series.
Seriously, it goes out of its way to portray this Sultan as if he was the most pious, righteous Muslim EVER. 🙄🤣 And no mention of *why* he's called "The Red Sultan". That's not just Western propaganda. He allowed the slaughter of thousands & thousands of Armenians to happen in his country, and in other places. It was a genocide. And yet still to this day, people try to cover it up, and pretend like it never happened. Ridiculous. There's been tons of research, pictures, evidence, etc. I love the show, but it's NOT accurate to history at all...
@@KabbalahSherry I do agree, though to an extent; the show isnt fully accurate ,as they clearly went to make the sultan look like a saint and strong willed unlike the real figure, but they do keep much of the non-personal events and background activity authentic. Overall, this show DEFINITELY isn't historically accurate to the real people of the time, but the atmosphere of a dying empire struggling to survive is made there.
Good points on the Armenians you mentioned though (not sarcasm).
I will say that despite the lack of full historical accuracy, I do love the sultan as a character and the actor who plays as him, great combination of serene diplomacy and fierce assertion

There must be more vigour to the story, for e,g each of the pashas must be shown doing something. Tahsin pasha is just an office boy. And the other pashas r like socialites enjoying retirement. In ertugrul each alp had a running story be it bamsi DOGAN or turgut. N the others they wud show some comedy, to maintain d importance etc. director has to work better. No doubt a gud series but all r sleepy characters.
