- Payitaht Abdulhamid takes us back in time to the fight for the existence of the Ottoman Empire. The story depicts the life of Sultan Abdulhamid Han who ascended the throne in 1876 and remained on the post for 33 years. It also follows the events that took place in the Ottoman State and around the world during the time of the “Almighty Sultan”.
I was very happy to see the disappointment in Herzl's face. It gave me profound joy.

Muhammed alejhi selam told us about time of daaiis who betray you and kick you in jahannam. In hadeeth it is sad with meaning that that will be general state of affairs in the world regarding the ummah. All around you daaiis with your skin, your language and your blood. The one who listen to them will be betrayed at the end.
There was one book called missionaries and spies in the ottoman empire (this is the name translated from my language, I didn't try to find it in english). It tells the story of one man who traveled around the world and wrote in his journal what he saw. He became very popular eventually. Since he was great friend with some of the high ranking state officials they invited him to "hang out".
At that time around 1700+ europe had bad situation with the ottomans couple of wars with russians austrians even british. They showed him buildings in which kids up to 10 years old were learning about Islam. One room was for kids who were learning about hanafi, other for hanbali and so on. they even had room for salafis, sufis and shia. You get it all stuff covered.
Then they would send these kids to Ottoman lands as yateems/orphans and turkish families would adopt them. These kids would later become shaykhs, alims, judges, soldiers, officers.
that was 150 200 years before. Imagine now...
That is way Muhammed alejhi salaam told us in that hadeeth to abandon all groups and daiis and to hold strong to the Tawheed until death.

He would wake up,make Tayammum with a brick he kept under his bed and then walk to the bathroom to make wudu. Just so that he doesn't walk there without wudu..."

can somebody enlighten me, why would sultan do the dry ablution (tayammum) instead of with water ablution (wudhu')? because as far as i know, when you got water around, you cant use tayammum for ablution, or is it the Mazhab is difference?

Wtf. Who thought to write in this series that Hasapiko is Albanian? The hasapiko is a Greek folk dance from Constantinople. The dance originated in the Middle Ages as a battle mime with swords performed by the Greek butchers' guild, which adopted it from the military of the Byzantine era. Pls don't confuse the different traditions and cultures in big productions like this.
The director is not as gud as Metin gunay. Of ertugrul series, means every other character the fervour is missing. Herzl doesn’t even look like a villain
