@@danielle228512 I am currently studying ISDS. Will graduate in May. I recently had an interview with IBM for an application development Specialist. The IS degree at my schools Is pretty business focused. I've taken A LOT of management classes, Marketing, Finance, Accounting. I've taken a class on where I learned how to create and manage databases I've only taken 2 coding classes in all of my 4 years at school which kinda put me at a disadvantage seeing how IBM was looking for someone with more coding experience (CS or Engineering Degree). If you are looking to get into the tech side of business then I would suggest maybe getting certifications such as A+, Network+ CCENT etc. I want to ultimately be a Network administrator and I am currently studying for the A+ right now. Then I am going to study for the Network+. If you want to stay on the business side, maybe look at getting a PMI cert (project management) or a CAPM (entry level project mgt cert). Or look into SAP certifications.
Hi there! I have a company and I want you to help me please to decide which information system to choose/use for each of these a) if I want to reduce my stock inventory space but dont loose customers and b) if I want to reduce the transportation costs for trying to have better management of the vehicle itineraries . Please Help! Which one to choose and why? Could it be M.I.S. in the first one? In the second? *note that the company wants to do a digital transformation.

no math required bro
My program for information systems technology at my university needed calc 1 and some other applied math or w.e
Few people are born good at math. It just takes practice-tons of practice problems!
Math has been so helpful in my IT career. 😀. Good luck.
hi is there a lot of mathematics in information system ?
From what I understand, not really. It's a lot of binary number which requires basic math.
Not really, at my school the highest math class I believe is calculus for management. Then there are other analysis classes
Sometimes there is some discrete math and statistics thrown in to the program.
Im late here but I'm a computer information systems graduate, you will have to take 2 accountings, a finance, and 2 statistic classes
Stats, differential and integral cal, discrete math (like linear algebra but easier)
7 minutes and this dude said literally nothing lol
what is the fact about information
And he absolutely does not tell you what information systems is saying you should know it...if I did would I have clicked on this.
This is great insight!

Is information Systems the same as accounting career field?
No, CIS may include a few accounting classes in their curriculum. But, accounting does not focus on technology like CIS does
