We ordered one of these beds a few days ago. Our old mattress is the original Tempur peadic and its approaching 20 years old. I think anything new now would be a tremendous upgrade!

I couldn't decide between the Puffy Lux Hybrid and the Bear Hybrid so I got both haha. I thought I would like the Bear better but the Puffy hybrid I think might be the one I keep. I am 6'2" and weigh 220 and I know the Bear is better for athletes but the Puffy just seems more comfortable. I thought I would sink into the bed but if really does feel like I am sleeping on a cloud haha. You can def feel the springy sensation a bit more in the Bear tho

What does this mean, when they say a bed is better for athletes? I mean, I'm a disc golfer and a bowler, and I'm in decent shape for 55, but am I really an athlete? LOL
I just haven't been able to find anyone that explains this very well.
@@candyman1031 Better supposrt for people with an active and athletic build. The Bear even has a textile built into the fabric that helps soreness recovery for muscles and joints

7.5 on the firmness scale is a little to high. I usually like a medium firmness on a scale of 4-6. Hybrids are my favorite though. The B&B Aurora and the Purple 3" grid mattresses are my favorite hybrids and both beds are cool sleeping beds which is another plus for me.
That sounds like a good firmness level.
Sleepopolis rates the Puffy Lux Hybrid as a 5, super soft like the Lux all foam, with a bit of a bounce from the coils.
CaptainLou the Puffy Lux was super nice and balanced I would give it a 5 - 6 and it is my favorite memory foam bed. This didn’t have a lot of give. We simply thought it was more like a 7. It also really depends on your weight to height ratio on how you experience the bed. It’s very nice still

I bought two queens, one I gave away and the other is on the guest room. Both hard as rocks, not as represented and the same as I had slept on for years.

Hi Jennifer! I would recommend Puffy Lux to most everyone. I think it would be soft enough for you. I also love the Luxury beds we have reviewed such as the Avocado and Saatva but they might be a little too firm.
I have an email sent to me from Puffy saying there is glass fibers. Hmmm
puffy has fiberglass protectors now? Maybe they have changed it? Can you elaborate? Is it just one bed?

I received my Puffy Royal mattress, and the HYBRID tag was removed. Puffy said all Royal mattress are HYBRID. Then why remove the name HYBRID?

I have a question about box spring ? Can I get any one or do you recommend having one, and is there a certain box spring for the mattress
yes you can use a box spring or not. I use have a platform. Just as long as the boxspring is a the same size as your bed.
I wonder how these mattresses are for big and tall people. Being almost 6 foot 8 and 320lbs I assume it wouldn’t be very comfortable. I prefer a firm mattress
Hi Scott if i take your weight 320lbs and divide it by 80" that is 4lbs per inch which is more than average. I think average is around 2.6 lbs per inch. So I would recommend a hybrid bed that is even firmer than this. Maybe something around an 8. This is medium firm but might feel soft for you. I would look into a firm Satvaa. We have reviewed one and I think they have firmer models. Since you are also very tall i would look into a California King bed. I am 6' 3" and my feet hang off the king sometimes.
AM2PM yeah I tried to order a Satvaa but they don’t ship to Canada. Same as the Wink bed. But I didn’t know that 2pm about the square inch model. I do appreciate this info
@@Scott-cy6zv Yeah Saatva, Amore, Idle, they are really the most durrable hybrids I have tried. That height to weight ratio is something I made to help people decide between memory foam and hybrid beds and soft, medium or firm levels. It seems small woman who are 2lbs per inch need an ultra soft bed and most guys who are above 3lbs per inch need a firm bed.
AM2PM only thing that sucks is most those mattresses don’t ship to Canada at all. :(. I found BIg Fig does but after exchange rate and shipping it’s a 3300$ mattress which is nuts for a box mattress. Savtaa doesn’t ship to Canada and same as Wink. Puffy is made a few hours up the road from me. But there not great for tall dudes :(. Shit at this rate tall guys with a bit of weight are gonna sleep in our cars
I'm an old boney fart and have tried like 15 mattresses' trying to find the right combo of cushion and support. Recently I looked at the Sealy Chill Hybrid, felt close to perfect but don't need the chill or want to pay $2500 for it either, any idea if this bed might be similar or can you suggest something? Have hip bursitis so hard isn't going to work and need good spinal support as well, side sleeper when possible but if too hard will end up on my stomach, not good. Weigh 170 and a cushion firm feel is what I think I'm after, on a really hard latex hybrid now. Would prefer to be under 14" tall (the bed not me) and it must have handles if needing rotation. Thanks

@@AM2PMReviews Not yet, most reviews say they are hard as a rock, I need good cushion on top of anything firm. Have a really good firm bed now but it's 15" tall without the 2" topper, might have to stick with it just took delivery of a Sterns and Foster which after just one night is hot and forces me to sleep in the middle of my Cal King, can't imagine sharing it with someone but I'll give it a couple weeks before returning it like so many others! Thanks

i am not sure. Its a big box and its super heavy so i would make sure the airlines can take it. ask them the maximum size.

it probably depends on when you order and where you live. Mine was about a week.
Oh no!! I ordered one today after extensive research. I was under impression it was softer like around 5 for firmness, this video says much firmer. I thought this would be the best one for side sleepers. I've never slept on memory foam, used to plush pillow top.
Yes it is all subjective but overall I like the puffy hybrid since it is a little firmer than the all memory foam beds

@@djbb4322 not crazy about it, I need plush. They sent me a free drift topper it helps a but but difficult to maneuver in , I toss a lot and it feels like being stuck in quicksand. I guess I'm not a memory foam person. I like my pillow top spring matesss i had for 2o years. My hips still hurt on this mattress so I guess it wasn't my old mattress after all..just my old hips I suppose.

Thank you for your response! I just order one I'm hoping and praying that I like it I have an Amerisleep but it's waayyy to firm. I was under the impression that this one was really soft and that's one of the main reasons I ordered it.

@@frankparker9589 they are both super nice I slept of the puffy hybrid last week. The Lux is a comfier but the hybrid will last longer I think.
Anyway I can get this bed cheaper? My budget is definitely more in the $1000 range.. not over $2000
Oh you can get it cheaper? I find a lot of beds are around the 1k range. I love the nectar we reviewed but the have fiberglass so just be careful. Have you seen any beds you have questions about?

The reason I decided NOT to try Puffy is because it's made in China. EDIT! Oops! Too much mattress research got me confused. I was thinking of another brand when I originally posted. It appears that Puffy is, in fact, made in USA!
The one we eventually chose was all natural and sustainably sourced materials, made in USA.
ii thought they were made in the US. We love Avocado and Saatva!

So, I thought you guys liked this bed a lot but reading reviews seems like you prefer others.
I’m 6’1, 195. I have a 100% disability through the military, back back, knees, shoulders, hips... I’m a side sleeper 90% of the time. At least that’s how I fall asleep. Some mattresses I wake up with sore hips or back. Occasional shoulder pain.
What would you recommend? Hybrid vs not? Brand...
Hi Frank I did the basic math of your height to weight ratio and you are about 2.6lbs per inch which is pretty average. This means you would do well with either foam or hybrid. I think with the new hybrids out there, you might prefer those. Most men I talk to like the hybrid beds more and they last longer. This puffy hybrid is super nice its just not as comfy as the all foam version in our opinion. The comfiest bed we have tried to date is probably the Saatva. Have you seen our review on that?

As I mentioned, for me, with my military injuries and such.. bad back, back hips, bad shoulders... I sleep on my side 90% of the time, 10% on my back.

How was the off gassing? Was it a toxic smell for how long? Or not?
With the king did you need to buy a foundation for it? We have a queen select comfort 22 yrs old broken pump and mattress is starting to explode. I've been looking at the puffy royal lux hybrid but for a king and even with adjustable bed. Any info on the adjustable?
Hi Shari, i don't think it smelled much. we just put it on our platform bed like all the others. I wish I could reviewed the adjustable one. I think I have an affiliate coupon code too in the description if you want to save some money. I think you will be happy with it especially if your bed is about to explode.
I ordered the puffy lux hybrid and it is very uncomfortable!! No cloud feel!! This is the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on.How much money do these reviews cost? Maybe mine is defective!!This bed is too soft and not great for back support!

Well how do I prove that it was not a sales pitch other than I would recommend it? I prefer the regular Puffy Lux but this was okay. It might last longer but isn’t as comfy. I might recommend other hybrids such as the Saatva and Idle and Amore...but this is also pretty good. It didn’t amaze me but I think most people would be happy with it. Let me know if you have any specific questions since we review a new bed every month or so.
