    we've had this bed for about 9 months. We **HATE** it now. it was great the first few months, now my side sags 3 inches or more, I feel like I am sleeping on the side of a hill. I weigh about 225.. We are trying to get them to take it back under their 365 trial now.

    I just bought a Nectar Copper Premium and so far good. But I read it "may" use fiberglass in the cover as fire retardant. Called and emailed the company to get the real answer. I guess worst case is I add another mattress cover on top of the current mfg. issued cover/sock. I hope doing so does not reduce the cooling effect of the copper. Will post here whatever I find.

      I just bought one as well and this is what they said.
      "We are reaching out in regards to your recent inquiry with our support team. I understand you have a question about the materials in the Nectar mattress and am happy to provide you with that information.
      Nectar mattresses are made with a protective fire-retardant knit sock to protect consumers from fire hazards without the use of harmful chemicals. The fire-retardant sock on some of our mattresses may contain silica or glass fiber infused in the yarn or woven into the knit fabric to meet federal fire protection standards. In the event of a fire, the sock encapsulates the mattress, providing a barrier from the fire.
      The mattress and knit sock are covered by the outer mattress cover. We recommend spot-cleaning the outer cover only, and use of a water and stain-resistant mattress protector. Removing the outer cover will void the warranty and may result in disruption to the protective fire sock or mattress layers
      Your safety and satisfaction is our number one priority. I hope this answers your question and I want to thank you for your inquiry. If we can be of any assistance please let us know!"
      Not exactly reassuring if I'm being honest.

    I went to a mattress retailer to try out different mattresses. This is by far the most comfy mattress I have tried. I really like the feeling of memory foam surrounding my back. It’s like sleeping on clouds! I have back pain issue and this mattress does great on pressure relief. However, it’s all memory foam (concern about the durability) and contains fibreglass which I don’t like. I also tried saatva classic but still feel that this one is more comfy. Are there any recommendations on good comfy mattresses in similar price range? Thanks in advance for answering!

    • @AM2PMReviews

      hi, so you would like a memory foam bed, without fibergalss? Do you like Latex beds? I love my latex for less but they might have an all latex one. I also like our emma. Its memory foam and firmer but super nice. I also like our puffy memory foam. I think they gave us a AM2PM coupon for them as well. I should just categorize our mattress reviews in playists by types of beds.

    I have a nectar bed and didn’t now it had fiberglass in it. I removed what looked like a removable cover to wash it and then found out recently your not supposed to. Now I have fiberglass all over my bedroom and have to throw away everything in my

      I just recently ordered a Nectar bundle, but then I found out about the fiberglass. I contacted the customer support, and they were reluctant to answer me directly. Instead, they got someone else to email me. They said "some" of their mattresses have fiberglass. Here is what they told me...
      "Hello Michael,
      For your safety, and to comply with federal laws and regulations, our mattresses are required to have a fire-retardant element. We use a fire-retardant knit sock rather than potentially harmful chemicals. In the event of a fire, the sock provides a protective barrier between the mattress and fire.
      Our mattresses are sourced from various manufacturers who may use fire-retardant knit socks with different compositions to meet federal safety standards.
      I do not have access to specific information for a particular mattress. However, all of our mattresses are designed to comply with federal safety standards without the use of chemical fire-retardants.
      As always, your safety and satisfaction are important to us, and we are here to ensure you have the best experience possible.
      Best,
      Luis"

      @Gargamel19 Рік тому +3

      @@AM2PMReviews actually no, we ended up having to throw away almost everything we own. Anything that is made out of fabric in your house and especially in the immediate area of where the bed IS will get contaminated with fiberglass.
      We found out there’s a class action lawsuit against nectar, purple bed, zinus, and the green tea bed.
      All these beds are wrapped inside a “proprietary sock” which is made of at least 60% fiberglass. Is meant to be a fire barrier and they the bed is advertised as the mattress pad being washable and has a very inviting east
      To remove outer cover. Making you think it’s ok to remove and wash in the washing machine and then put back on. They mention just spot cleaning it but at the same time it’s washable which I find strange. Then they don’t tell you WHY you shouldn’t remove it.
      Our clothes, my kids clothes, all bedding and sheets and blankets were frosted in fiberglass and it all had to go. You can’t just wash it all in the washer because it only breaks into smaller pieces and then embeds itself further into the fabric making it worse.
      Look it up, it’s pretty amazing how this has been sorta covered up and hasn’t gotten that much media attention considering. I’m not 4 grand deep in debt over this from having to buy everything I need to decontaminate my whole house because moving out and having a team of people come in and do it isn’t an option. It’s dangerous to breathe in and they advise you live somewhere else while you Decon.
      Please warn other people about these beds!!

    • @Gargamel19
      @Gargamel19 Рік тому +1

      @@gamemakerdude it doesn’t matter if you don’t open or undo the mattress protector, there’s already owners of the beds that have come forward saying they never opened it and still the fiberglass leeched through the mattress pad from regular use and the same thing that happened to them happened to us. Fiberglass is dangerous to even breathe in and your actually laying right on top of it with only a thin layer and maybe your bedsheet to stop it. Even if you put a mattress protector over the bed eventually if a hole develops then it will just leak through there. I posted a video in my channel of all my
      Clothes coated in fiberglass. You can only see it in the dark with a flash light.

    Do you really know what you will be signing up for if you buy a Nectar mattress, I bought one about 1 year ago and to say it has been a disappointment is an understatement this foam king size mattress has totally failed on both sides, and it has a crown in the middle and is horribly uncomfortable. The worst part however is finding someone who cares. I've sent over 20 pictures to Nectar and Amazon where I bought it, wrote several letters and all they tell me to do is take more scientific pictures with depth measurements and for the 7th time send them my proof of purchase receipt, 3 months this has gone on. Each time I get ahold of them they act like I'm someone different and make me jump through all these hoops all over again. My sincere advice to you is NEVER BUY A NECTOR PRODUCT ESSPECIALLY A MATTRESS!

    I bought this mattress and would not recommend it at all. I am going to return it and either get my money back or try a hybrid bed. This bed is way too expensive for what it is.
    Comfy is not the right word to describe this bed. It does not support your back at all. It is too soft, non-responsive, meaning you just sink into the bed like quick sand. There is zero lower back support, you sink in and your hips/spine will be misaligned. I am going to be 50 and trust me you would be better off with a hybrid bed to save you from back pain. Oh and the copper cooling is a gimmick. It is not cooling when you put a normal bed sheet on. The constant sinking in feeling and uneven feeling in spinal alignment is just so unbelievably uncomfortable. I weigh about 165 and am 5′ 11″ tall so I am not a heavy set guy and my girlfriend is about 150 and 5'7" just to give you an idea of what this bed would do for a couple in that weight/height range. My girlfriend and I did not get any decent sleep on this bed at all. We woke up exhausted with body aches, and back and neck pain. We are both back and side sleepers. I hope my review/opinion saves someone/or a couple some of their hard-earned money/time.
