      It more common outside the US especially in remote communities. There is a documentary on Netflix called "Pet Fooled" that seemed to help spread the knowledge back. It was less than 100 years ago when there was no such thing as comercial dog food. Interestingly there were almost no cancer cases in dogs back then too.

    Thank you so much for posting this video! I have been talking with people in stores about the raw food diet for dogs and cats ever since I found out about it, and just tonight I met a woman buying a large box of canned cat food for her cat, and I explained to her the proper diet diet for dogs and cats. Right there and then she switched to raw for her two Rottweilers, and I brought her over to the canned meat section to get canned sardines and canned mackerel for her cat. She was so excited about it, so I’m sending her this video and a few others.
    Thanks again!

    • @nicoshireyphotography

      correct! As long as the bones are the right size and type for your breed

      Raw bones are okay, only not cooked

    • @joshreynolds729
      @joshreynolds729 4 роки тому

      You can feed both cooked and raw to your dog so long as your not feeding fish bones that can spinter raw or cooked. If your going to cook then you slow cook it for a very long time rending it soft no longer spintering rendering it safe but raw is the most satisfying and retains its marrow which is money for the dog. Ever bought maricks the cans call wingdings it has cooked bones that are safe so yes you can feed cooked so long as they are slow cooked on low heat.

      We brush their teeth but still avoid licking right after they eat at least. But they have got us a few times with some sneaky licks and we have not gotten sick. The most likely source of bacteria is fingernails or cutting boards if you dont proper clean them or wear gloves when prepping.

      XperienceJohnny Canine saliva contains lysozyme, an enzyme that lyses and destroys bacteria, but more importantly, the absence of plaque means the dog's mouth is no longer a hospitable place for bacteria to inhabit. A kibble-fed dog's mouth, however, provides the perfect environment for bacteria growth: plaque-covered teeth with sugary and starchy complexes provide both food and shelter for bacteria.
