Super informative and straight to the point - thank you!
These all look like great options. I look forward to trying these. Thanks.
Thank you so much! This was a big help for me! Wonderful video, very informative 🤩
Thank you for the short and concise video!
Please make a video about your fav foaming face cleanser Doc thank you
Thanks for the info. I use daily
Cetaphil is very white cast. ColorScience is alright though, I will prob try more of the EltaMD ones
Great video, I only wear mineral
Laroche Posay is absolutely great! Unfortunately it is very expensive in my country!
Can I apply a different chemical sunscreen over the more expensive tinted sunscreen throughout the day?
Great video!!! I loveeee the new Cetaphil mineral sunscreen 🤍
I have a question - if 2 mineral sunscreens are the same SPF but have different amount of zinc oxide, is one more effective than the other? Loving your channel🥰
Good question!
Hey
Always see the amount of zinc
Spf is only for uvb
But zinc is for both uva and uvb protection
My fave is the Skinceuticals UV defense!
I like pacifica’s mineral face shade.
What moisturizer did u use when using cetaphil sheer sunscreen?
My skin probably doesn’t do well with glycols, what are your thoughts on the ingredient?
Is the cetaphil one gluten free?
Hello, Dr. Liu, I have been enjoying the LaRoche-Posay tinted mineral Anthelios face sunscreen (50 SPF). I've recently found out it does not contain zinc oxide, so does it protect my skin against UVA & UVB rays?
There are lots of great chemical filters aside from zinc!
Hi Laura, please see the video from Dr Vineeta Rattan on the laroche anthelios sunscreen and what it's ingredients are. I got such a better understanding of what I was thinking of purchasing this sunscreen.
Why does the vanicream bottle say chemical sunscreen
I’ve tried the majority of the sunscreens you’ve mentioned and all have left a serious white cast on my skin (Fitzpatrick IV).
I agree, that's exactly why I personally don't go by the reviews showing sunscreen applied on their hand, because the hand is a different color and texture of skin oppose to the face 😏
and what do u use then?
Have you tried Tizo mineral sunscreen ultra zinc?
@@nette3800 Hello. I will try it.
Many thanks🌼
Hi!!!!
Cotz is a good option too. Only zinc
That’s a great one too
Does it leave white greasy look?
Sunscreens are never recommended?
Which ones does the Peking opera singers use?
Do you need to remove the tinted sunscreen like how to remove makeup?
Yes. You must double cleanse while using any type of sunscreen
I have to use oil on a cotton pad to completely remove sunscreen
Then wash with cleanser
Mineral sunscreen is def more hard to come off no matter how much water based cleanser you use . Go in first with a balm cleanser to break it off and then a water based to rinse off the film.
Excuse me can you tel me which is better vitamin c for oily face please
I personally love skinceuticals Phloretin CF. It’s expensive but worth the $
I use Timeless C and keep it in my refrigerator. It costs me maybe $22.
Nano coated titanium dioxide is NOT reef safe. Tried most of these sunscreens. They leave a greasy mess on my face. And I have dry sensitive skin. It still comes off when I touch my skin hours after application which makes me feel seriously under protected. So now I get them from Europe with the newest filters. They are next level.
could you please recommend some to me? I can't stand greasy sunscreen that sits on my skin, I have oily skin and I have bangs which is very sensitive to my forehead being overly greasy :D I live in Europe so I'm curious what are the new filters :) regular sunscreen has the smell which when I smell that in cream I immediately know it will break me out and my skin hates it. the mineral ones usually are very heavy and greasy. thank you :)
@@sedmidivka Have you tried the Eucerin Oil control SPF 50+ or the La Roche Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 fluid oil control? The latter also has a UVA protection of 46. And is 80 minutes sweat resistant. And has the latest filters like Tinosorb S and Mexoryl 400.
Would you do a video on preventative Botox? I’ve gotten it since I was 18 every 4 months I’m 27 now use retina 0.1 also since I was 15 and sunscreen since I was 15
I’ll add that one my list
@@dr.jennyliu thank you !
I noticed that mineral sunscreen after many uses it causes my skin to dry out? Does anyone experience that? Chemical sunscreen irritates my skin.
Yes! So I realized I have dry sensitive skin..and dealing with rosacea. I am healing my skin moisture barrier with basic products and wash only once with a gentle cleanser at night. I do two moisturizers in the morning - one to moisture and the other to lock in the moisture then I apply the mineral tinted sunscreen over top and it seems so far so good (not drying out as much) hope this helps!
@@Heatherrosedefcan you tell me the products thatcyou use.thanks
@@amalbelayachi6810 I since then changed my routine but I use FAB cleanser, and for moisturizer I use vanicream. But I use other products for the rosacea after seeing a derm that is medication
Oh non..no link for the Cerave..🥴
Actually, there’s good reasons not to use chemical sunscreens that have to do with health safety concerns, not just the environment. This is a two-year old video, otherwise I’d think you’d be responsible not to promote them as safe options.
