- Light therapy is all the rage right now - and the research is strong. I do light therapy for 20 minutes every single day - and I see huge improvements in my skin, mood and sleep. BUT - my routine does not include blue light therapy. Here's why.

Your wrong my grandma ahead bad acne when she was young she been using blue light she looks 50 but really 60
I’ve had acne 30 years of acne that moved from my face to my chest and back and now at 43 YO the back is the remaining issue. The acne is large and inflamed and lasts far longer than on the face. I use the sauna almost daily so it’s embarrassing. I’m trying this therapy on the back only so I’ll take my chances and honestly it’s probably not worse than sun therapy whereas I almost have to burn my skin to see results that last for quite a while.
Red light helps my acne
You’re the first I heard say this. It makes sense. Do you have other info to back it up. Because I’ve only found the “good” stuff on blue light for psoriasis. The skin around my eyes is really bad along with the back of my head. And I’m trying to decide if I need both red light and blue light devices or just the red light therapy.
Thanks Jef for watching! You can check out my IG page for more info @naturopathicbeauty.
If blue light ages you... you should never go outside🤣🤣🤣 the entire atmosphere blows down blue light spectrum during the day
Very informative 😊
Thanks for watching! Check out my other videos as well xo
They are also using blue led lights to kill bacteria in the mouth and help. whiten teeth. Would that cause cell death orally too?
That’s UV light that’s used.
hello dr! If I had one 10-minute blue light treatment for the whole face in the office (although with a fairly large dose of about 50 j/ cm2, intensity 90 mw / cm2), could it have aged my cells significantly? I have the impression that I look a little worse than before this treatment 😞
How about violet (red+blue) in one time? Thank you
I think when she is referring that blue light can cause aging (is when you use it significantly) and we use the cell phone more than nothing…. so you can’t avoid it. For a certain acne spot 3 times a week using in a short term period is ok. But if you use it daily in your whole face, the results will be aging faster. If you have a prone acne skin, maybe you would rather get rid of it as quickly as possible and maybe later you use a retinol based formula that will get rid of spots and wrinkles at the same time.
