I was looking into this for a family member's tv, the "easy fix" in the title baited me xD when i saw the hand plungers and volt injector come out I began reconsidering the possibility, haha
Thanks so much! This helped me fix my issue. I had one single LED that was affecting the entire strip on one half and with some pressure from a flathead I was able to bypass the current to give the rest of the LED full power. One LED out doesn’t really make a difference on quality it looks like. Thanks again!
Didn't know some TVs now use LEDs like that, cool. Thanks for the easy to follow disassembly guide.
Thin TVs and monitors mostly use these LEDs, and laptops.
Thanks! I fixed my very similar 65" Samsung following your steps.
I just replaced a less than 2 year old samsung 75" with this problem. My best opportunity is that this TV will be the last Samsung TV or any Samsung electronic product I will ever invest in.
I totally agree with you!
a television isn't really an investment, is it?
I heard LG last much longer
Watched this video and realized there was an easier fix. 1. Place Tv at foot level. 2. Bring appropriate foot back three feet. 3. Plunge said foot into screen while cursing Samsung. 4. Take same feet and walk through Walmart LG TV section. Wala, problem has been corrected.
Love it was heaps easier
😂😂😂
Thanks for this guide! It fixed my TV 😊
This is not an easy fix, unless you really know what you are doing i would NOT suggest to try it. Additionally, there are various reasons why a half black screen might appears and this solution only fixes 1 of them (which might not be the problem you have). Also, many retailers will refuse to apply the warranty if you have tried to fix it yourself (unscrewed the TV). So call your retailer first.
Yeah I don't think he should be advising people to be unscrewing the back of their tv.
Right like WTH
Why not? If it's broken might as well try to fix it before having to buy another
@@limeglasses a shop with expert technicians can help you fix the TV.
@@enriconolastname3471 huh didn't think the newer ones had repair services. I'll look into that. Thanks!
AWESOME !
thank you for sharing your knowledge
Im gonna try mine in couple days. Just waiting on backlight. Never done anything like this, just built a couple of pc's 10yrs ago. But ill try, seems super simple.
What voltage are you testing the led light at?
great ! and a contact spray (better than isopropyl 99%) will help (contacts can be cleaned with a pencil eraser too , if you have a good magnifier or even binoculars you can have a better idea of corrosion level
Found a free tv and this fix worked for me in 20 minutes ✅🔥‼️
Was it a samsung tv or any other one?
@@llenenrall9639 same one
I was trying to do this but it is not an easy fix,,,😩
Interesting thanks. I have the same tv but black shading is in the middle of one side (so maybe 1 or 2 LEDs?). I think replacing the whole strip on that side is the answer. Do you agree? I dont have an LED tester so dont know whether it will be the top or the bottom strip. Any advice? Thanks again.
try to buy the whole led strips on ebay
Go to system then shop mode then go back to home mode this worked for me.
Wow so much help how do i take appart a tv
hehe for most people this isnt an easy fix, I remember a few years back I got a free 55" LCD no picture so I pulled it apart replaced on of the Strips tested it all worked went to put it back together and well I tore one of the min plastic strips well now TV totaled had to throw it out so is anyone is going to be pulling apart a TV be extremely carefull those strips can tear easily in my case lesson learned
I did the same thing. I replaced the backlights and they worked but somehow I
damaged one of those plastic strips and now there are lines on the screen.
“Easy fix” yeah if you know what you’re doing lmao, not for the average Joe
I would just have to buy a new one...lol
try... turning up the brightness and see if that triggers the led to go bad again ?
Merci
The very last white thin layer against the back was double sided taped to the back. It tore a quarter sized hole. What's this paper called? It can be rolled and shipped if I'm lucky. it's not stiff.
Don't worry about it. Just patch up the hole with the piece you tore off.
That just reflects the light and it won't be noticeable.
My Dad is a TV Repair Man
He can fix anything..😂😂😂
I had this issue on my samsung au9000 65 inch tv, I called the manufacturer and had them replace the tv panel for me on warranty, my question is, could this issue occur again? And what causes this problem in the first place .
Humidity related to cold weather mostly
@alphaomega1969 Really? Okay what about evaporative cooler? I have one in my room, and when I use it, it does make my room very humid, could that also be the cause of the problem?
@@Encumberedemotions It would be best to use normal blowing fan in your rom imo
Haha super easy fix 😢
How much would this cost
Serious question. How much would a repair like this cost? Is it worth it just to get a new tv with the same technology
I work for a company that does electronics repairs and I do this fairly regularly. It's about £395 for a ~55"
I only know that because I did one recently that was a chargeable repair and it said the price.
Cheapest part to replace. But longest time on site. We do it in your house. Takes hour, maybe an hour and a half.
how about the whole screen is black hiw to fox it??
my case is half left side is dark, but suddenly it switches, the right side is dark and the left is bright. A little afraid to pull the screen off, they seem fragile and I have no suction cup
Who the hell carries suction cups like that in their average toolbox?
You really don’t need them. I moved mine with 2 people
I changed my backlight it was working, after one week backlight dont come on, when I toched the connector of wire that connects power board with mother board backlight come on and works for 1h after that they work dimed barely see the screen, anyone nows?
be careful around that exposed power supply
there's white line mark between high and low voltage
I am NOT doing this.
Ugh.
Easy?
This may be easy for some, but is a major job for anyone not tech savy. Lets call this a Chinese plot to kill tv sets after a couple of years. Planned obsolescence in action.
I did it and I have never taken a tv apart
I have this exact problem on my samsung monitor 😢
Would this work for Toshiba TV??
Took an engine out of my Mark8, built it up from 300hp, to 960 at the rear end, simple if you know what you're doing. This not an easy fix..actually seen him having some problems. Easy fix = punch it, #2 pencil..
back light, there are welds to brake apart,etc...
What in the trailer park meth lab explosion are you talking about bro bro?! It's a TV not a Cobra motor. This dude didn't have a problem at all he fixed it with no issues and at no cost. If you can build a Cobra motor to a thousand horsepower then this should be a cake walk.
@ItsGhostFPV actually, I was stoned ,thought I was writing on a different channel, but you were close, don't do meth , it happened to be an incredible edible.. Bitch of it all, this isn't the 1st time I've done that. 😵💫
Easy fix😅
I dont know how to reapair a tv
Common problem with this TV
Easy fix😅🤣
Thanks for the info but too much work for me 😅
How is this an easy fix ?
Peace be upon you. My name is Muhammad Saeed. I used to work on a screen like this, and the glass was broken at one end or the bottom, next to the cove, but surprisingly, the glass was not completely broken. There is an image on the screen, but the image has a part in about half that is black in color and covers 4 cm from top to bottom of this blackness. The simple one in half the screen is due to cutting tracks while trying to change the screen LEDs. Is there anyone who can help me and talk to me and tell me how to solder those tracks please?😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
EEEeeeaaaSssyYyyy fiXxxx 🤦🏻♂️
What do you mean with easy fix💀
My brother in christ this is not easy
Easy 😂😂 not at all
🤣🤣🤣
Too complicated 😮
This is an easy fix??????? lmao
😂
So basically get a new TV because you can't fix it
Easy fix go buy a new one.
Easy fix? Really?
How can my nan do this, what a misleading video.
Don't more buy samsung tv anymore!!!! Simple
