Your little pumpkin turned out very cute, (and it's not the only one lol). No seriously, simple and easy enough for anyone to try. I've never used the clay conditioner to remove finger prints, I normally use isopropyl alcohol but seriously dislike the smell of it so maybe this will be better. Tfs.
NEW FAN! I'm very familiar with painting but I have almost NO experience with polymer clay! However, I will be attempting to make a larger version of this ASAP. Wish I could show you when I'm done for any advice on improvement...because YOU are amazing! I really liked how the acrylic paint dried with a little shine over that polymer...acrylic is generally so matte. I'm so excited. Thank you for the tutorial!
Are those paints acrylics? If so, do the brushes leave any marks? I ask because I am making small pieces for a board game and want to paint them without an airbrush, but still want the paint layer to be thin and smooth.
I paint clay with cheap acrylics, and I find that using a wet brush can help with brush marks. Also, painting on thin coats, with the first coat brushing up and down, and the second coat side to side. A softer brush works best. Those are all my secrets.
Lovely tutorial as usual, Im well into clay now but I started with you a couple of months ago, I am just finishing a running Star Wars Taun Taun {and using about 2 lb a week of super sculpey!, I have bought EVERYTHING and it is an addiction {but a good one} lol
You don't need to do any prep before painting except allowing the piece to cool down. However, if you sand a piece after baking, you will need to remove any sanding residue.
how do you shape and poke holes etc in the clay without it just collapsing on itself, every time i try and carve details or anything the clay its caves in on itsself. ive tried a few times now and every time i have the same trouble, even if i put the clay in the freezer for a bit to firm it up i still have issues
I have a STUPID question... forgive me. I don’t sculpt, but want to make miniatures for certain art pieces. Why do you use a foil ball rather than just roll a ball from the sculpey?
So the Sculpey will bake. If you made the whole thing out of Sculpey (1) expensive but (2) more importantly wouldn't bake thru or would take forever. Instead, you bulk out using foil, then cover that with a layer of Sculpey.
I am new to your channel, and you have given me some good tips that I can apply to my piece. Never don clay before, but time to give it a go.
Awesome! Glad to help!

I love the smell of rubbing alcohol. Lol
I hate the smell of alcohol, but I love the cheapness. 🙄

I can’t get enough of your videos. You are a great teacher; you are fun, entertaining and informative.
Do you add a glaze of any sort to keep the paint there?

pro tip: make a meme from this lantern. put in every video as an easter egg. pumpkin is a symbol of Halloween and ur chanel is all about it!
Cute!
When I make one I am going to put it on my shelf!
Awesome. They’d be great for jewellery and stuff! I will do make them. I’ve got a pumpkin make on my channel coming up soon
i really enjoy watching your channel. But I am just curious how much tin foil do you go through in a week.
Lovely tutorial as usual, Im well into clay now but I started with you a couple of months ago, I am just finishing a running Star Wars Taun Taun {and using about 2 lb a week of super sculpey!, I have bought EVERYTHING and it is an addiction {but a good one} lol
Do you ever seal with some kind of clear coat?
this is the most effortless thing iv seen on your channel but still very cool as always
What would happen if you glazed the piece after painting it? Just curious
Love your video and your work.
Can I put a top layer and bake it?
I’m new in the polymer clay world hahahah. My main question is what type of paint should I use for my sculptures? Acrylics?
Great work!
Can you please tell me what type and brand of paint did you use?
Nice videos keep it up
Would it be possible to make it hollow with the facial features cut through if you used a ball of paraffin wax instead of foil?
do you bake it after coloring?
Omg I love it! My halloween project this year!😄 Can you make a wizard face or a witch too?
I made my first clay figurine a raptor! He doesn’t look the best but I love him
forgive my ignorance but .... the sculptures to make them harden must be put in the oven or not?🤔
You published this video on my birthday!!! ^_^
Is there any prep after oven and before paint? Like cleaning it before paint.

You cook it after u paint it, right?
Can you do a Q & A in regarding pricing pieces...So much time and fore thought goes into each one.
What kind of glue did u use to attach the stem?
Sculpey bake n bond :)
I actually made a dragon with your tips. It was super hard but I got I done
Does water colors work?
How long you leave in oven for ?
what paints do you use? its hard to see in the video??
Any tips on painting when I paint my sculpts they kinda go sticky and flake, I use acrylic and cant find much info online. Please help lol
I think adding a glaze of some kind would help with that, but I could be wrong. Hope you figure it out!
Thanks ! Any recommendations on a glaze ? I'm new to this lol.
hi! the paint fix to the piece?? i had problems wui that...
