MD, remember the like “brown algae” on the wood in one of your tanks. I commented on one of your videos and was hoping you saw it, but it is a bacterial build up because the bacteria is feeding on the nutrients in the wood. If enough builds up it will kill the plants because of lack of light. But i found that rams horn snails remove it really easily.
Ask Matt to find u some Brochis splendens aka emerald corydorus... or barbatus corydorus.... Watch some of Heron's Bonsai 's videos before you do the next interatiin of this.
Best thing about your videos is the fact you show all the mishaps and tanks being dirty /hazy and some clumsy stuff because it's the way this hobby is for most people
I think this is one of my very favorite tanks that you have created. I love the openness of it with the wood feature really giving the look of a bonsai tree. I love the fish that you selected for it too - they all look so good together. Great job!!
eventhough I'm also a fan of more is more aproach in planted tanks and love stem plants and red plants but still I find this setup very sophisticated and elegant 😍
THANK YOU SO MUCH MD! Literally was waiting for a new vid to get me through the mid-week and here it is 5 minutes ago. Btw i am so happy you headhunted Matt and can't wait to see more of you two brilliant blokes. Just did a greening aquascape inspired by the ADG's Masterclass episode and filled it with Pygmies and Amanos!
Beautiful! Think this is your best one yet. It looks 10x better then your "more complicated" archer scape because you can still see some of the hard scape features
My day just got good . Cheers md and Matt . Can't forget Matt he's now part of the team . So excited to see what changes and how it will be . I mean come on it was awesome with just md or just fish shop Matt but as a duo oh well we are all in for a treat I recon
This is actually one of the best scapings you've done. It's not overcrowded with plants, you can actually see and understand everything, and there's plenty of space for the fish to swim.
I adore corys and Endlers - both are so playful! A joy to watch! I've got panda corys, but it doesn't really matter which as they are all fun. (And cute!) I have a group of male Endlers Livebearers in with them and I couldn't love them all more ❤ This tank set-up is perfect - it shows them all off brilliantly. 🙂
Hey MD! Your thanks are inspiring! I have a 5.3 gallon Wlastead I've had since 2020, but I'm upgrading to three 5.3 gallon tanks; one all reds, one jungle style, and the last inspired by this video! I appreciate all you do! ❤️🌿 🐌 🦐 🐟
I was out of the hobby for a bit and because of this man im back in and have a 110, 20,14, 10 and a 5 gallon set up 😂 and im also dreaming of setting up a rainbow river tank
I love this tank! It’s simple and almost minimalist, but really intricate and interesting at the same time! So cool, might have to get into this hobby cuz i cant stop watching these videos lol
I recently bought this big 55 gallon on OfferUp I do need to restore it but that’s just part of the fun right😂😂and it was a good deal so I had to jump on it
I love this tank.. minimalist, calming- you’re right, serene is a good word for it. I’m going to try to recreate it in my next setup. I don’t have one planned currently but we all know that doesn’t last long 😅
I love this setup, it’s very modern and those Corys are so cute. I must say it was your fault I’ve fell in love with those fishes in the first place. After having male Betta I took in Corys and never loked back 😂 they have such silly no thoughts head empty faces.
Love this tank! Please show us how the Monte Carlo does with it's growth and everything else. To many of us this is still a lot of plants but I like that's it's something we can replicate without needing special substrate and anything for the harder to grow or crazy amount of plants. Also the hard scapes are not that big so it should be simpler things that a lot of us can find without having to find massive pieces of wood or special types of rocks. Great job!
Been watching your channel since I got my aquarium a few months ago. Awesome content and absolutely love this tank. It’s set up very similar to mine now. Hope you have a great day MD
once i'm no longer renting i need a big tank again for those corys. they are so beautiful and loved watching them moving them through the tank. totally unexpected they started even breeding but didn't have any tanks ready to take out the eggs or fry so that failed in the end
Honestly, after building my first aquarium this one is way more affordable, I spent a great amount of money and got like 10 small Anubias LOL. I would need at least 5x times the amount I spent to get a decent planted but I am planning for the future and I will be getting new Anubias from these I planted. This aquarium is way more reasonable in terms of cost. And gotta be honest it's really beautiful!
guess the best way to count fish is with footage (pictures, or skipping through frames), 16 corys i believe. amazing work, looking forward to the "matt upgrade", so happy its working out for you guys to stick to making sapes and maintaining the fish room.... go for it, lads! love from switzerland
I just went to the fish shop today and got some plants and they just so happened to be these exact ones. Came home and seen MD had a new vid out. What a coincidence hahaha but I’m making a 10L no filter vase for some shrimp 😊
I want to build something like this. It's clean and not too much going on. Good midscape which comes from the bottom of the tank and open enough for fish to swim through.
Corys are some of my favorites! I sure would love to see a bunch of golden dojo loaches in a tank 😊 I love my matches and am so curious how you would aquascape for them! Love your channel. Found you not long ago and binge watch whenever I can! Much love ❤❤️❤️ from Texas, USA
I have watched the ADG video multiple times now, and I don't think I have enjoyed anything more lately as much as seeing you with Jeff Senske as he was noticably in the zone or the flow state !!!! I always get the sense watching the professionals over the years I have been a golf caddy and I have been reluctant to even make a sound of any kind for the potential of the very opposite of the zone. So when you made that beginning comment about what you were seeing and how Jeff said..." How he was just trying to describe the way....... That was a close call but then after you said MILLENNIUM FALCON 🫣 I have to say that you broke any tension right The Hell outta the room and I have a feeling that you're connection to Jeff is a great friend and I don't think too many can say that.
Focal length really is trippy. I was like "that looks small for a group of corys" and then you changed angles and mentioned it was a 2ft. And also, semantically, substrate can just mean any bottom layer.
I was rewatching the archer tank video last night and saw the Cory tank hard scape. I thought, “Maybe he abandoned it since the video never came out.” Well, glad to see I was wrong. Nice scape, sir.
Personally, instead of creating a canopy, I would have gone with a canapé. No, admittedly it's not going to provide cover for the fish, but it does make for a nice snack while you're working.
Those little sun sun canisters can just leave that top plastic spacer out rather than cutting down pads. Doesn’t seem to matter at all. They work surprisingly well although the motor is pretty low flow.

Always waiting for a new video 😀

Hello MD! I'm planning on getting my first betta and I'm wondering if a 40L tank is big enough for the betta and some black tetras?
Ask Matt to find u some Brochis splendens aka emerald corydorus... or barbatus corydorus....

Best thing about your videos is the fact you show all the mishaps and tanks being dirty /hazy and some clumsy stuff because it's the way this hobby is for most people
I bought a 35 gallon fish tank because of this man 😂
Congrats ! Such a fun hobby enjoy
I just got a 110 litre because of this man
Same started with 3 then 2 6 gallons all running now only a 40 gallon breeding tank and changed a 3 gallon into a terrarium 😅 and sold the others lol
I brought a 5gal last year cause of MD and a 55gal in August there 😅
Awesome guys....sounds like you all need MORE!!! 😂😂
Need more content of hanging out with Cat Shop Matt 😂
It's coming don't you worry.
@@MDFishTanksawesome, can’t wait!

It is absolutely beautiful that Kate can still distract you.
This is actually one of the best scapings you've done.
It's not overcrowded with plants, you can actually see and understand everything, and there's plenty of space for the fish to swim.
That must be the best aquarium set up I've ever seen, MD you're an inspiration to us all
Just goes to show how keeping the hard scape simple can have the best effect
I love this set up. Minimal plants & gorgeous fish. Great work
Just got home from work, my UA-cam app was loading, and I said to myself “damn I hope there’s a new MD video” BANG!!!! Let’s Go!!!
I adore corys and Endlers - both are so playful! A joy to watch! I've got panda corys, but it doesn't really matter which as they are all fun. (And cute!) I have a group of male Endlers Livebearers in with them and I couldn't love them all more ❤
This tank set-up is perfect - it shows them all off brilliantly. 🙂
I love the minimalist design of the hard scape.
Been watching for years now, never s amazes me how sick all these builds are. So nice.
I've never said this about a tank before but that is delightful, not just the hardscape but the fish as well. AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE FISH!!!
Hey MD! Your thanks are inspiring! I have a 5.3 gallon Wlastead I've had since 2020, but I'm upgrading to three 5.3 gallon tanks; one all reds, one jungle style, and the last inspired by this video! I appreciate all you do! ❤️🌿 🐌 🦐 🐟
I love this tank. Less is more. Beautiful ❤️
You’ve got a really good sense of compositional design.
I was out of the hobby for a bit and because of this man im back in and have a 110, 20,14, 10 and a 5 gallon set up 😂 and im also dreaming of setting up a rainbow river tank
I have that same filter on a simple jungle setup that I have. No issues at all. Always good to see Flow.
I think this scape is stunning in it's simplicity.
I love how it turned out! It definitely has a Jeff feel to it but with a nice MD twist. It’s very calm, I really like it. Thanks for the video.
I love this tank! It’s simple and almost minimalist, but really intricate and interesting at the same time! So cool, might have to get into this hobby cuz i cant stop watching these videos lol
This is the type of scape I hope to have one day. I love the bonsai look
I actually love the green tubes! I would be very interested in an industrial set up
I love this tank. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the perfect balance of plants and hard scape
What a beautiful Art Aquarium, pretty Sweet Layout of wood and Rocks of the best Choice. Great Fish Selection
"Einfaches", pflegeleichtes Layout mit großer Sandfläche für die Corys! 😃
It is Super awesome you do different Cost+Levels, it really builds an audience for all different aquarium Hobbyists
Nice! Scape looks great as always.
This is my favourite tank you have made so far.
I recently bought this big 55 gallon on OfferUp I do need to restore it but that’s just part of the fun right😂😂and it was a good deal so I had to jump on it
Awesome
Looks super nice. I wonder how stable a scape like this is due to the lack of substrate. Love to see the follow up in a few months.
Cories are one of my favorites too! We have pandas at the moment and i love watching them.
I love this tank.. minimalist, calming- you’re right, serene is a good word for it. I’m going to try to recreate it in my next setup. I don’t have one planned currently but we all know that doesn’t last long 😅
I love your honesty. even when you dont have to be! keep up the GREAT. work.
I love this setup, it’s very modern and those Corys are so cute. I must say it was your fault I’ve fell in love with those fishes in the first place. After having male Betta I took in Corys and never loked back 😂 they have such silly no thoughts head empty faces.
you should've done some rice fish with this tank they would've looked awesome!
Agreed
Love this tank! Please show us how the Monte Carlo does with it's growth and everything else. Hey MD, make a little shelf above the tank on the wall and set the filter up there, might look cool
the legendary fish feature I’ve been waiting for 🤩
Your an artist that is beautiful love the bonsai look.

dude i love your scapeing and the way you explain everything and talking about it, great job thank you for content, all the best from poland!
I just went to the fish shop today and got some plants and they just so happened to be these exact ones. Came home and seen MD had a new vid out. What a coincidence hahaha but I’m making a 10L no filter vase for some shrimp 😊
Hi MD, thanks for the awsome vídeo. IMHO this is one of the best creations you´ve shown us.
Love the tanks. I counted 16 cory going into the tank.
Another great tank setup by the master.👍
I want to build something like this. It's clean and not too much going on. Good midscape which comes from the bottom of the tank and open enough for fish to swim through.
Well done simple and easy nice job 👍🏻 I love it
I love this. This looks achievable. 😍
Your videos are so cool so descriptive it’s almost therapeutic ❤
Thank you 😊
Nice setup, I like the minimalist style and hopefully easy maintenance for Kate 😀
I guess sometimes less is more. You've done it again. ❤
I recently acquired a 5 gallon tank for free, and I think I may do something similar since it is such a small setup.
variations of other styles with extra plants is now called MD Style 😅 love the vids man, always giving me inspiration for my own tanks
Stunning as usual MD
Love how doable this video was!
I have watched the ADG video multiple times now, and I don't think I have enjoyed anything more lately as much as seeing you with Jeff Senske as he was noticably in the zone or the flow state !!!!
I always get the sense watching the professionals over the years I have been a golf caddy and I have been reluctant to even make a sound of any kind for the potential of the very opposite of the zone. i'd love to see a Molly or Balloon molly tank! They are my main fish i love to use. So friendly and cute!
Focal length really is trippy. I was like "that looks small for a group of corys" and then you changed angles and mentioned it was a 2ft. And also, semantically, substrate can just mean any bottom layer.
Wow those fish are magical
Beautiful scape and idea love how when you go into serious scape mode the glasses go on 👏👏👏👏🔥🤩🔥
I was rewatching the archer tank video last night and saw the Cory tank hard scape. I thought, “Maybe he abandoned it since the video never came out.” Well, glad to see I was wrong. Nice scape, sir.
❤ this tank so beautiful me and my partner sit waiting for your videos we need more please 😊
So nice and simple nice job 👍🏻
The king of aquariums.
Dam MD I love this scape, I am definitely going to have to do one like this.
This is the level I am at so thanks for this. I am going to try this one.
Personally, instead of creating a canopy, I would have gone with a canapé. No, admittedly it's not going to provide cover for the fish, but it does make for a nice snack while you're working.
That was clever.
What a great scape! Keep them coming!
I wish my fish shop had anubias that looked that good
As always, I love this channel. Thank you for all the videos! I say on the next tank, we rinse the sand .... just to try something different. 😅
Corys are the best!
Those blackfin cories get quite big, may i would move them in a few months, also good aquarium
I absolutely love corys this is such a cute tank! Definitely gonna make one like this someday!
Insane hardscape, as always
Very nice setup. I think it might be one of your best.
Never really thought of a all Cory cat tank looks amazing 😁
I love my panda corys. So entertaining as well as adorably cute.
Super nice Tank ! Like it 👍
“Distracted” ….. over snogging by the rainbows lol 😂
Beautiful tank!
Amazing build! Beautiful work as always. Thanks for teaching us so much. 🤯😍👍😁
Love the simple videos! Keep up the good work!
50 times better than ur normal disappearing hardscapes
Lovely tank
Those little sun sun canisters can just leave that top plastic spacer out rather than cutting down pads. Doesn’t seem to matter at all. They work surprisingly well although the motor is pretty low flow.
That is a cool little tank🥶
Thanks for another great video MD...you give me so much information and inspiration 👍
Beautiful scape and Plants 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love this tank.❤
Wish you were here in the US, monte Carlos are one of the plants I fail with every time
