And here i thought I don't need the director cut. This is fun, fastest way before is travelling by zipline and on my server it's completely everywhere the zipline point.
I'm playing for the first time and discovered that if you let the BT's catch you, it leads to a boss fight kind of thing. If you defeat the boss you get a ton of chiral crystals, the rain stops, and BB gives you 100 likes. Make sure to have plenty of blood packs, ammo and grenades though.
at first I love Roads and mule's truk at Second I love Ziplines Now Third I love Stabilizer Lv 3 + Speed Suit + Jump Ramp I jump from the Everest to Timefall farm in minutes
This is the stabiliser level 3, it’s new in directors cut. As long as you jump it basically makes you immune to fall damage. Stabiliser + Speed Skeleton + Jump Ramp = A Good Time
I finished the game, then I saw the “oh so many additional content” on the director’s cut. Saved some money to buy it and replaying it now. 😁 Best.Decision.Ever 💓💓💓
I hope they do, I’ve heard rumours here and there as well. I don’t see why they shouldn’t when a large number of their player base came from PC, it helped the games image significantly! So the least they can do is bring the Directors cut to PC so everybody gets to have a go.
I’m at 5.5 now. I share nearly all the cargo from the ranked contracts, have safe houses in good places and an entire zip line network. Good guy Sam Porter
@@CognizantCheddar yes but driving trucks through off-road can be a big pain in the ass sometimes. I kinda liked that struggle with less gadgets, it was more challenging. Maybe some people prefer things to be easy in game. For me the hardcore DS experience was fun. I didn't even use the first bike in Distribution centre.
Stabilizer lvl 3 only requires a 4-star connection with Mountain Knot. You'll get that by simply playing the campaign and then doing like three standard deliveries to Mountain Knot.
I'm gonna say it .... They broke the game.... I mean what's the point of having a chilled delivery where it helps to stay under timefall (maybe even check out the weather forecast) when you can just use whatever this jet pack thing is and skip literally the entire game? Those mechanics are meaningless now. I'm kinda glad I got the platinum in the original game which is the one I fell in love with. I'll skip the director's cut. For some reason I feel like this version of the game wasn't Kojima's vision. Dude doesn't even like that it's called "director's cut" and I agree.
Yeah I don’t think it was his idea either, I try not to use this jetpack, cliffs no problem, the water fall you can clear, out jump MULEs. Everyone uses it on the ranked deliveries and gets top 1% this and the jump ramps is all you can use for ranked deliveries if you want to do good 1-10% or 0-1%
@@WindmillProductions57 I like your videos though 😅. Yeah I agree it feels weird watching people just clear entire areas like that. No planning routes, no strategic zip line placement, no weather forecast, nothing... Just put that jetpack ... Maybe a speed skeleton... And just... Play a completely different game honestly 😅. It feels like a different game.
This feature is only available in a later part of the game. Until there you have to use the same tatics, based on the same gameplay you and I played in the original release version of the game.
@A ToasterI realize this isn't the most balanced game in the world since a lot of the mechanics are used to drive the story home 😅 but, at least the zip lines require some work and strategic planning. From the looks of it this jet pack is just aim and jump.... I hope it has a short battery or something to nerf it a little..... Or maybe a weight limit? I guess I should try the director's cut before judging 😅.
Oh, please. Since even the LLL S grade requirement for chilled deliveries still allows 1-2% damage to the goods, you never needed to stay under Timefall to get S with chilled deliveries. You only ever needed ziplines. Which existed in the original game, and if anything made deliveries _more_ trivial than this video's method with the jetpack, which at least requires a bit of input skill. Getting platinum in the original game wasn't any more of an achievement than with the Director's Cut. Original game, S grades were easy peasy with either ziplines that you didn't even need to build for yourself if you're sharing structures, or if the delivery has no time requirement, you simply use the long range truck. DC or not, Death Stranding is not a challenging game, all platinum ever required was monotonous, low-effort grinding. All the director's cut does is provide more gameplay variety via some new toys. They don't break the game because ziplines and trucks had already done that at release.
I played through the entire thing, twice, once the original version and then the DC cut version
I still didn’t know you could have a jet pack.
Which version was better to you?
@@Leeyon1313the directors cut is the ps5 version so obviously the directors cut
Jumping into the distro centers with the jetpack is one of the most fun things in this game, just gliding over the ramp straight to the terminal 😄
Wonder what would happen if you landed on a BT's head...
That would be pretty disrespectful.
I know i absolutley loved this game and sing its praises. Ive been thinking about playing again but would like to get DC but only have ps4
If you touch the BT's or they catch you, it leads to a boss fight. Some nice rewards for beating the boss too.

can you take progression from ds to dsdc or do you have to start the game from beginning
You can! You pick up right from where you left off however any orders that you’ve picked up will be cancelled.

Am I doing something wrong? I have the stabilizer with full battery but it won’t activate when I jump. Smh
You need stabilizer level 3 in the director’s cut version (ideally + speed skeleton level 3 to get the nice long jump)
