About your Roman Szmal palette - the metal on these palette is easily bended. If it sticks up you just bend the hinges down gently. It’s like the hinges inside that holds the pans.
I love Roman Szmal as well although it is expensive to export to the US and takes a long time. I'm intrigued by the wood box with the mixing palette insert and am waiting for it to go on sale at Jackson's. What are the measurements of the box and can you remove the base tray the whole pans set into? I'm wondering if I can reconfigure the pans. Thanks for your review!
I love portable painter products. I ordered the regular portable painter and the portable painter micro from Portable Painter directly so I could get their new pans that allow you to take more colours. They had a great sale during Black Friday. I’m also a big fan of Art Toolkit. The folio allows you to take SO many colours, but you have to take something else for water and I take a couple of their XL mixing pans with me (outside of the palette). I should put some pans in my wooden Schmincke “super granulating” box… great idea! (I still have the tubes inside the box.)
I wished they would make empty pans the size of the kuretake one’s or double full pans. I like big wells for the colors. I have the Paul Rubens, because I saw it on your channel 😊and I have a Mijello one similar in size to yours, but one cannot change the way the colors are arranged. thank you for the video.
i want that schminke wooden box so bad! ( the medium sized one not the huge one at the end) i dont like travel brushes and its so hard to find a nice wooden one with a space for normal brushes
your royal langkil box is super similar to my homemade one from a cheap hobby lobby box i got full of acrylic paint and stuff. ripped everything out and put metal tape then magnets inside my full pans and it holds all my professional watercolors. but it is kinda huge!
