Hi everyone! Here's my drawing of Water! This is a technique that I've been trying out recently and I wanted to share it in this step-by-step video. I really hope it helps out! Let me know what you think - and be sure to let me know any suggestions you have for future art videos.
Thank you so much for the amazing support! Hope you're having an awesome day. :)
-Chris
It’s called a jelly roll pen. You can get them on amazon for 3-6 dollars. Hope this helps
Hey man this is amazing!! I love your art, and was wondering if you might do some Destiny 2 fan art.

Me before the video: ooh this looks easy enough!
Me 10 minutes later: Guess I'm a helpless cause
No, your not, you just need more time and patience thats all.
Every time I watch your videos I ask myself how someone with such a brillant mind and perfect hands could possibly exist on this planet. I'm hella jealous but your art is beautiful. I really enjoy watching your wonderful hand doing the magic and hearing your voice, which btw calms me really down. I just wanna say that you do a wonderful job with your videos and I really am looking forward to them every Werk again and I am really sorry for any mistakes. English is not my first language.
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words. :) Your support means a lot. Hope you're having a great day.
LethalChris Drawing well I hope you have a great day too. And what I forgot to say, your videos help me really out. I love drawing and do a lot too. But I often find myself helpless 'cause I have no idea how I should draw for example shadows. But your videos arereally helpfull and I learn a lot and it is fun learning through your videos. You make me smile every time again. So Thank you :)
Fun Fact: If you use lighter tones, you can draw a sea of milk.

Or a sea of seamen

That drawing is amazing. It looks quite simple as well but I was really surprised by how long it took because I didn’t think it would take that long
I LOVE THIS GUY, he tells me not to worry about the supplies and I LOVE that, he's not like the other tutorial people, this is great.
Awesome tutorial, thank you! I’m just picking the pencil back up after several years and wanted to come back to basics. This has been so helpful!
Your voice is so soothing

I would really appreciate some videos of tutorials of how you do the coloring in of your pieces. Like your fan art videos and such. I try learning by just watching them but I feel like I'm missing out on some core concepts. If you find the time please add a few marker coloring tutorials. Thanks and keep up the amazing work

A mellow experience all the way through. Clear instructions with a demonstration and cool music. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Really helpful! Doing a painting of "Jesus Calming the Storm" for my CSEC SBA and the water in this drawing is just so eye catching. Good work ❤
Lethal Chris, could you do a high quality drawing of calm water. What you do is fantastic!
Thank you, very informative, it confirmed to me that water can be drawn well with a led pencil
Very cool bro !
since I'm not a professional artist, and thus don't have a shading stick, I found wrapping a tissue around your finger also works
Yep did the same and it seemed about right
@@anotherstandouser4362 yeah, I mean if it ain't broken, don't fix it... lol
This is amazing but so underrated it deserves way more views
please draw water phoenix
lovley drawing!! Your realism is amaizing and I can not take my eyes off of it. I would like to suggest a typical sketching video. how to sketch out a portrait of a character, OR maybe a video on how to draw dragons, how their bodies and heads are different and how to impliment the elemental aspects into them. Since portraits and dragons are probably your best work and most liked
Thank you so much for the support! :) That's a great drawing video suggestion.
Thank you Chris! I love this video. The jelly roll pen helps out a lot from what I can see. On Friday can you draw and color flaming sword? I think it would look awesome! Thanks again!
Luke Malizzo I would like to vote to have this drawn
Thank you for the support! I really hope this video helps. :) That's an awesome drawing idea.

Thank you. :) I really hope this video helps out.
I don't know what you did in the settings but I can't save this to my favorites lists/play lists
I can finally make my drawing realistic now with this realistic water. Thank you.
Hi Lethal - I got a lot out of this tutorial, thanks for posting. I needed Ocean Water to finish a sketch. I did what you said, "I had fun with it"
Ty!!!! This really helped me with drawing water!
Another great video Chris. I always enjoy watching them.
I LOVE IT! Please, if you can, make more video's about water drawing
and one more thing this is brilliant.
For your next Fantasy Art Friday video try drawing a Quetzalcoatl
It's FANTASTIC 👌
In the earlier stages it reminded me of silk or some other fabric
Id love to know how to color water with copics
Thanks man I've been looking for this everywhere all that I tried failed I'm glad you've showed me thanks bro excellent work now it's my turn to try
Kels Drawing Official, nice channel!
Thanks so much for the support. :) I really hope the video helps out. It's a fun technique!
Thank you so much i was able to complete a drawing of mine. Thank you so much
I watched this video so many times because every approach on a drawing is different. And I want to get out of my head and have fun and practice. I have one question. If I don't have a white pen to add highlights to a darker pattern, can I use a white color pencil? If not I'll use my eraser. But, thank you so much for this tutorial. Alot of things give me ideas on what I want to create. Realism is something I'm granted to pursue. So thank you, SIR.
The most realistic water drawing
Such clear explanations - thank you!
That is AMAZING!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for sharing! This technique will be so helpful for my current artwork. I've never done water before and I was a little worried. I'm excited now 🌻🙏
i cant even comprehend how someone can draw like this
Cool
Awesome drawing man keep it up
This is wonderful
Dang absolutely stunning. Maybe next time add color see how that goes. But even without color the contrast between dark and light is amazing.
What can we use instead of blending stick/stump
thanks man the finger technique was really good since i didnt have a shader thanks
Wow thank you so mutch for this drawing video to make waves. I got myself a pack of blending sticks for this and omg it worked so perfectly. Again thank you so mutch for this video. I love it and i love all the drawings you make.
Seeing these amazing tutorials makes me want more! Keep up the fantastic art
Thanks chris for the wonderful drawing
Great video. Will you please do a tutorial on how to draw different clothes and add creases to them?
Can u do a lesson about how to color the fire??
I am going to use this technique to draw water in an A3 paper for my uni assigment. Wish me luck :"). Also great video
This is remarkable! Thank you so much! Can you please sho us some techniques for drawing flat reflective surfaces on water as well as concentric rippling?
Mais um desenho incrível, parabens pelo seu talento. this is amazing!
Amazing work Chris, also have you ever drawn a boat, if you havent, you should! 👍
Wow 😮 you are the best, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🤲🏻
I love your tutorial videos. I was able to make a pretty good realistic eye with skin tones just from watching your last one. Thanks for the awesome content!
Thanks for the great video and drawing.
if i would seen this wonderfull drawing my brain would of exploded.
Make a copic airbrush vídeo
That is unlikely due to his usual uploading style of making how to videos.
Thanks for the video, im getting ready to draw Loch ness Lake which I got to visit recently, and as a new artist im taking advantage of every reference and help i can get ^^
great work
Perfect waves... loved your explanation...Thanks for the video😍
This very helpful indeed,
Really glad to hear that. :) Thank you.
That looks great, Chris.
Can desert be drawn with the same technique? Would appreciate a seperate video on it.👍
Hi, can somebody help me out here, what is the difference between a tortillion and a blending stump?? (If there is any difference)
What do you use to add the white lined detail? Like, what's it called?
Thank you so much 👍✨ its help me alot... And yeah its super fun and relaxing with lofi music 💕🎶
Wow I love it
But how do I draw water in combat/action? Like waterbending from Avatar? Can you give a simple guide on water physics?
Thank you, it's great to find someone that understands the importance of fun in the doing. I'm looking for running streams also, I have a cloak i want to color like running water, cascades and such. Thanks!
i need that stick
This is Great and will help me greatly in my sketching and painting Thank You 😊
Looks like a sea of metallic paint :D
That looks so cool
Upload "How to Draw Misty Mountain and Hills" with the same video. :D
This is really useful for me because i'm really bad at drawing water. These video's improved my artwork a lot and I wouldn't be this far without it. Thanks for all the tips and tutorials. I've been working on a snow giant recently and maybe you can try that too. I would love to see that. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much! :) Wow, it's so nice to hear that. I'm really glad to hear that the videos have been helping you. A snow giant sounds like an awesome idea - good luck with the drawing! Thanks again.
So CooL
This is really good but i've noticed that the ripples don't match the waves haha i mean the ripples are awesome but i think they vouch more for a calm lake effect. Just have a closer look and youll understand my notion here. But everything is spectacular! keep it up man
Amazing
OMG 💗
Instead of the gel pen can you use the eraser
Thanks for making this video
Lol i thought they were mountains when i first saw it
Hey there. :) Just stumbled across your channel a few days ago and I'm already addicted. :D I could not believe how realistic your drawings looked, it was so fascinating for me how it took shape bit by bit. I got a question tough. Do you draw all of that in one go? And with that I alsomean the 10+ hour drawings. :)
By the way. You got yourself a new fan in me :D
Wooooow,...
I lovvvvve it,...am inspired.....thanks
Fantastic work.
