Scoped Carbine with Buck Doyle

We had the awesome opportunity to spend a couple days with Buck Doyle and learn a little about what he is teaching through his training company Follow Through Consulting. We spend the first day diving into a new way of thinking about scoped carbine shooting, with a special focus on the Tremor3 reticle. We were pleasantly surprised to get a very relatable experience in understanding fast attack style mid-range shooting. Buck shows us how to get the work done without wasting time and energy. Shooting fast and accurate is something we are always striving to do with our pistol shooting. Applying that to mid-range rifle shooting felt very familiar, even though it's perhaps not the normal way of doing things through a scope. It may not be how some people teach or train but it sure felt good to us and the results spoke for itself.
The second day we shot from higher angles in the cliffs of beautiful Teasdale Utah. Spending the day applying what we learned in a free-for-all environment, just solidified our excitement around this new (to us) method for scoped carbine. Hanging out with Buck and getting to hear his real world experiences that back and build credibility in his methods made this training even more valuable and even unique.
