    Welcome to another episode of skills and drills brought to you by Daniel Defense and Nosler Ammo. In this episode, we're going back to Teasdale, Utah, with trainer Buck Doyle, owner of Follow Through Consulting.
    In this video, Buck is going to teach me how to hit a 12-inch target at 200 yards with my Custom Daniel Defense MK12 in under 4 seconds from a barricade, starting from a squatting position.
    Shooting from a barricade is actually really simple; it's the doing it under a certain time at that distance that makes this drill challenging. The beautiful thing about this drill is that it's relatively easy to replicate at an outdoor range.
    Find anything you can set your rifle on, get a small target (it doesn't have to be steel), and if you can't get 200 yards, then make the target even smaller.
    You can do this at 50 or 100 yards with a short-barreled rifle and a 3-6 inch target instead of 12 inches.
    Either way, I hope you guys enjoy the video. If you're looking for a new hoodie this winter season, like the one I'm wearing right now, I'm going to put a link in the description section to these premium embroidered hoodies with all of your favorite 2A designs.
    So, before you watch the rest of this video, hit the link in the description section and grab a Pro 2A Premium embroidered hoodie today.

    What's terribly lacking in today's shooting skills is knowing how to use an actual shooting sling, not just simply using a carry sling as a hasty sling.

    • @Manco65
      @Manco65 6 місяців тому +1

      A hasty sling can work pretty good. If it's pre adjusted to fit the individual using it. Problem is that often ruins it's use as a carry sling. Now wouldn't it be nice to have a sling that can quick adjust between a patrol carry sling and a properly fitting hasty sling?

      Lol, same here accept 200m was the closest target. 500m was the farthest target. It was local club metallic silhouette matches all shot off hand with no supports. You can shoot either in the iron sights class, or optics class. The funny thing was that our scores were essentially the same regardless of the types of sights used. We shot steel silhouette chickens at 200m, pigs at 300m, turkeys at 385m and rams at 500m

    This is all fine assuming your opponent does not see you, or is not aware of your presence. However, I would compare all the steps in this video's excercise with: I'm up, he's aiming, I'm moving, I'm down... How would you compare opponent target acquisition time in the two techniques, where your opponent is aware of your presence?
    No one will be thinking through all those steps under real pressure... Unless all the steps in this video's excercise is incorporated into 1 motion, the technique will be too slow to return fire, if your opponent is aware of you.
    All is fare in love, and war... Vet!

    • @joeymedina7115
      @joeymedina7115 6 місяців тому +1

      Yeah that’s why this is a drill.. to train movement and build muscle memory.. just like a lot of other gun drills. You’re not supposed to pull them off exactly 1:1 in a real world scenario but you use them to build skills and learn movements that you can ultimately put together and use one day if you have to.

      Make really small targets with sharpie markers to simulate longer distance sight pictures. Slow and steady will translate to speed but it sucks you can’t rapid fire train every once in a while.
