Bro u definitely deserved more credit Before watching your channel I was struggling with hard mode and never win a campaign mostly due to I always want to war with people and dont care bout diplomacy or at one point the enemy too strong and I got crushed lol. After a month learning from you I just got my legendary won with Ma Teng in 116 turn. Furthermore Im from VietNam and romance of 3k is pretty huge in our culture, I myself did read the novel and watched tv show twice 😂 so I really enjoy the historical lesson from you. Always something new to learned with every episode. Keep the good work buddy 👍
oh my sides.. i knew you'd get a fun change of pace with this mod list and campaign, but i didn't expect to witness ST's very own battle of Chibi., right in episode 01!
I've been waiting for the warlord mod playthrough from you! This is the single most *fun* AI strengthening mod I've played in 3k. It makes early games easier because AIs focus on consolidating their power instead of trying to bring the player down when they are besieged from other AIs. Warlords mod truly shines in the late game when 3k form as AI empire absorbs a few factions around it and give you a mighty challenge of doomstacks. The only downsides are 190 campaign only restriction and the late game lag. Also the new trom 4.1 revamped units in a major way. Many abilities /passive abilites were reworked and cavalry overall became much stronger and impactful. I look forward to this LP!
1:00:00 : « Also, our version of Liu Bei has no honour ». Indeed, you always came across more like a Cao Cao than a Liu Bei… 😂 May the Heavens continue to hinder all your nefarious plans for China in this campaign!
TBF Liu Bei from an unbiased historical perspective absolutely looks like he has no honour; while Cao Cao did some pretty loyalist things in his earlier career.
@@GahnzNmi Ehh, not quite, as Liu Bei, while not the "benevolence" as his dynasty warriors counterpart is, he is still noted to quite possibly, genuinely care about the peasants he ruled over, for one he has no problem letting them eat at the same table as him, for two he's actually a pretty generous boss to be serving under, because he lets his troops plunder all the stuff they could carry.
Glad to see the reduced Total Hero-War and use of TROM again. I have not seen the Warlords mod played before and it looks like an interesting twist with different starts
I can't even think of how many campaigns i've made with Liu Bei in my 7,000+ hours playing this game. But he is always my go to faction. All others mean nothing lol.
Dunno if it's patched, but my last liu bei campaign i used unity and diplomacy to hit King rank on turn 1. Suffice to say i was done with his faction after that.
@OLONOODLE oh this is definitely still possible. You just have to keep exploiting the diplomacy to pick up weaker factions. I mean you are choosing to play an exploitive diplomatic option. Don’t see why that would make you not want to try his faction the normal way…
@@OLONOODLE If you want a challenge and want to still play as Liu Bei, grab the mod Diplomacy Matters with Yuan Shao's face on it. That should nullify Liu Bei's cheese win and have you work on building him up the hard way.
I would love to see one where you actually HAVE to migrate with your army. Trying to get military access along the way, sometimes chased by armies, takes you a while to get there and give the rest of the factions a huge early advantage. Its the most fun ive had. I basically stayed in the starting area for like 10 turns then decided to head west.
For those not in the know. If you don't want the AI to declare war on you, you can trade them 1 food. It usually keeps them off your back as long as you don't have something like -100 relations with them. This is really useful for Nanman factions since you dont have the same diplomacy options with them as you would with normal Han factions. Also BA as a commandery is such a bitch to defend especially since the enemies can use the river to attack it.
@@jonathangoliath91 you can but in my experience the gpt doesn't work as well as the food. I've had times where I gave a faction something like 1k GPT for 10 turns and they still declared war on me. Whereas i've rarely ever had the AI declare war on me as long as we had at least 1FPT deal going on. I had an AI I had -200 relations with and he didn't declare war on me even though I was smashing his coalition allies and executing the generals of his allies because we had a FPT deal. He did declare war immediately after the food deal ended though. The exceptions to this are AI who are strategically belligerent, dishonorable/cunning etc.
The Warlords mod divides up all Han Empire still held commanderies into minor factions on turn 20 and also it looks like it was Sun Ce that wiped out Liu Biao since he is holding Xiangyang mine.
Congratulations! An update on a Liu Bei campaign is always welcome, especially now that i am finishing my historical Liu Bei campaign, the last one i play in TW3K. In my glorious march to unite China under my rule, i have utterly defeated and executed both Dong Zhuo and Cao Cao and managed to become Duke by winter of 197. I have created a very powerful state, prosperous and well-guarded with a booming economy. Relations with other factions are great and i'm about to confederate with most of them. I know this is not exactly historical, however i play on Records mode and tried to have Liu Bei as the supreme power on China asap which i successfully did. My only question is this: is there anything i have done wrong? It seems i have completed everything on legendary with the best results...i'm playing with Trom mod btw
