I just got that where there's smoke at a Con that book is so off the rails from the bratty little sister to these 10 year old kids smoking in front of their coach on the school grounds 🤣 great stuff
I love Death's Head and I liked the story line of Ravage. When I was in high school in the 80's, I would buy a big bag of lollipops on Monday and buy Friday I had about $50 that I spent on comic books. I got into collecting comics because I worked night shift at 7 Eleven and there was nothing else to do but read. By the 90's we had comics book store owners coming in and buying up all the popular comics. I kept a stash in a box behind the counter of the one's I knew they wanted and I would charge them double to pay for my comic book habit.
Love your honesty and being truthful with the people you buy from … very rare … and thanks so much for that … and yes …the going hungry for comic - now that is a guy who loves comics - great dedication- great channel man
Awesome stuff man...I'm from the area I frequent Yankee Flea Market and have a both at the Sturbridge Indoor Flea Market...I just found out about your channel from an individual in a whatnot comic auction...its awesome to see someone from the area doing the whole comic book hunting in Flea Markets that I go to...awesome content and I look forward to more videos and maybe I'll see you out there one of these days
When you said comics, dungeons & dragons, and music room...thats the same stuff i love!!! If you ever find any 1st edition D&D modules, definetly show them off in a video!
Voltron is a tough series to put together in high grade due to the majority being bagged 3-packs. Newstands are near impossible. I bought mine in bagged 3 packs through a surplus dealer, so they were untouched by human hands..lol. Canadian newstand and US direct.
Hey Mike. Love ur videos. We are in the south coast of Massachusetts. If ur ever this way gave me a hollow. I have boxes of mostly Marvel's to trade or sell. Give me a hollow bro.
Ha! I actually looked at it closer than it seems in the video. Funny thing is, I was at the same flea market the other day and that book is still there!
Where There's Smoke was a great snag. I always grab those oddball promo style comics. Neat seeing what they seemed important enough to put to print . Toddfather's Spidey #1 is my baby. I'd have grabbed that one in a heartbeat as well. Funny facts there is 2 different webbing versions of that particular #1. One is regular style grey-ish and the other is more of a purple.
So cool about Darkhawk late issues. I didn’t know about low print runs! Your son is absolutely adorable if he wants to be a part of lunch money comics include him in more videos. Excalibur 1 was a great comic for me as well I fell in love with the characters! Thanks for all the videos!
Especially like this installment as at 1.01 there's the Death's Head/Die Cut mag we worked on back in my Marvel UK days. Written by my pal Glenn Dakin. If you ever get chance check his comics. He did a great book with Pasqual Ferry around then called Plasmer.
New subscriber 🥳 you really got me with that story about going without eating to save up to buy comics. I was in the same situation as a kid since my family was very limited financially. Looking forward to new content and great hunt.
Thanks that means a lot. I still remember that feeling of saving up $1.25 to ride my bike to the comic shop and get ONE book. Honestly makes me appreciate comics a lot more. Thanks for the comment!
Great video!!! I love going comic book hunting. I actually found strange adventures #205 first appearance of deadman for a $1. I was pretty pumped when I found that. Keep up the awesome content.
I also collect with my son. I would like to give u fatherly advice. U should combine your collection and your sons into 1. Buy together 50/50. Just know it's your gift to him when u die. Keep up the grind.
That’s great advice. He knows someday he’ll inherit it, though he has a sister he’ll probably have to share it with as well… I guess I should get her into comics too!
I bet! I’ve been afraid to go back and rewatch this video! It was more a proof of concept rather than an actual video and I wasn’t intending to post it when I was filming. Maybe I’ll check it out on my 1 year anniversary!
Hey Mike I see you have a Nova #1 1976 CGC 9.6 on your wall. If your ever interested in selling it. Please send me a message. My name is Mike as well. Love seeing you going on the hurt. Especially at comic book/antique stores in your area. Have a great June!
Doom 2099 was a pretty good series actually, so when I saw you put them back, I was like, "Nnnnnoooo!!!!" This channel is really bad for my anxiety. (ಥ﹏ಥ)
Haha, usually when I put them back it’s either because I own them already or they are overpriced. I’ve gotten better at being picky about what I buy, otherwise I’d end up buying everything!
Fantastic video mate. Greetings from New Zealand.
Lots of trees where you live…
Awesome content

Yeah I love books like that, they don’t exactly age well, but I had to have it!

Hey Mike just found your channel and its awesome, Im 52 and live in CT and was thinking about starting to collecting again. Keep up the great videos.
That’s great to hear! Thanks, and I’m happy you found the channel!
When you said comics, dungeons & dragons, and music room...thats the same stuff i love!!! If you ever find any 1st edition D&D modules, definetly show them off in a video!
You have great taste then! The room is less of a man cave, and more like my sanctuary.
That “Where’s There’s Smoke” is pretty interesting. I would’ve picked it up too. Love the hunting video.
Thanks! Yeah if it’s something you haven’t seen before, it’s usually worth gambling on (especially if it’s old).

that voltron 1 is the find of the day !
Agreed, I just wish it was better priced for the condition…
Oh man, passed right by a Groo like it was nothing!

Very cool, thanks for the info!
I used to save my lunch money for music cds 💿lol
That Action 495 whitman (at about 6:30) looked like it was in great shape
An entertaining vid. Although, I don't collect the same books it's always fun to go on the hunt even if it's virtually,.
Agreed, I could watch people digitally dig through comics and antiques all day.

I am going back on your videos since I found your site about 6 months ago. Is this your first video?
@@toddcunningham524 yup! I’ve never rewatched it myself. I have a playlist you can check out which is every video in order
You remind me of Curiosity Incorporated but more towards comics
That’s very cool, I actually collect a lot of the same stuff he does, I just only show comics on my channel. I like him, thanks for the comparison!
Just found your channel and watched all of the vids as I sit here and bag and board. Fun stuff. Are you on IG?
I haven’t set up an IG account for the channel yet but it’s something I certainly want/need to set up soon. I’m happy you’re enjoying the content!
@@lunchmoneycomics I am in RI and have a TON of comics.
@@johnbigdaddyross2158 RI? We should definitely talk! Any good flea markets in RI you could point me to?

Darkhawk bundle.
I will buy them please send me your ebay store name.
Lol don’t have one yet, I’ll let you know 😂
Why are you breaking the spines!!!???
New sub here my friend. Look forward to checking out your content. Thank you for the road-trip. Stay tuned and let’s #growtogether.
