So I simply recorded it instead.
This is a 4 bosch grinders that where sent in for repair. GWS9-115s and GWS7-115.
This video a had not been edited so is quite long. only cuts are where I paused the video.

Have one of those variable speed Bosch grinders myself. Noticed that if I leave it plugged in (without using it) for a long time it gets very hot. Still in warranty.
I have one also and have noticed this as well. It's more warm then hot but I was leaving it for days plugged in and it worked fine afterwards. So it must be a design "issue" or simply it's how the electronic works (perhaps a cheaper design).

I used to put a little copper c on the threads to stop bad binding. I guess don’t over-tighten them is the answer.
I’d love to be sat at the counter of the shop when the boys come in with their box of tools and Dean is there lecturing them. “What way is that to have your lead??” Etc.
Question for you: since doing these videos - have you noticed more lads coming in wanting stuff fixed whereas before they’d have thrown them away and bought new?
Hi Dean, when your changing the lead, how do you know which size core to use ? I.e. 0.75 , 1.5, 2.5 , 3 core, 2 core ?

Have you ever done a video on a Bosch die grinder changing the bearings behind the collet because i have 1 where the machine has been hung up and water had gone through the unit and seized the bearings in the head the motor and everything else is ok as i changed the head from another die grinder onto the motor to see if the motor worked and it was ok, i just wondered how the head comes apart to change the bearings in it so i can keep it as a spare.
I have an old black and decker from late 80s (was my dads), it still works, is it worth keeping and cleaning up, the aluminium needs painting?
Hi Dean, Having watched your vid I have decided to replace the pvc cable on my GWS7-115 but not sure where I can source the rubber grommet and ferrules from. Are these Bosch parts? Thanks for helping.
Yes the grommer is a bosch part. The ferrels are not essentially. They are from an electrical supplier
@@deandohertygreaser thank you for that. Do I just order a part which fits one of the upper end grinders hoping it has a H07 cable fitted to it or is there a specific part number for grommet that fits the H07 cable? Cheeers
Hi Dean sorry to be a nuisance but I tried contacting the Bosch Service Centre for help but they have totally ignored my email. All I’m trying to find out is can you replace the pvc power cord on a GWS with a H07 2core 1 mm cable and what’s the part number for the new grommet you need to fit both the grinder body and wider rubber cable. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have a GWS 9-125S Bosch angle grinder, and the disc's axle vibrates af when in use. I've bought and replaced main bearing, a 6001 ball bearing if I remember correctly, and it stills vibrating excessively, turns my discs into dust quickly. Do you have any idea what's the problem here? Thanks

With the high price of today's new replacement parts, you're better off buying a brand new grinder with a 3 or more year warranty
