When I visited Chamonix from Geneva in May 1983, the railway bridge left a strong impression on me. I am very happy to be able to meet again in this way.
We recently return from there. It is absolutely beautiful and literally breathtaking. Because it is so high I got light headed because of how thin the air is up there. But just take it slow and you will not have any problems. Bring water with you.

Chamonix, I was there in Aug 17, lovely, o.k maybe 3 times more expensive on some items, only to be expected , moving around on trains ,buses ,up the mountains to spectacular views. Up to 90 deg in valley to minus temps up on mountain after a trip on the Gondola, glaciers ,very good. Over all Enjoyed the visit. Lots to do. One Must go.

I visited Courmayeur couple of times. Advice for travellers: visit these area's either in late spring or mid-autumn: the sky is clearer
