Look, I need to be real with all of you. Yellow base Mastemon ain’t it. It’s a high roll gamble to maximize benefits off of Patamon which can only be guaranteed by wasting slots on T.Ks. Worse yet is that it doesn’t set up trash until you start digivolving into Ladydevimon. That’s not good enough. To actually play this deck at it’s full capacity, you need to have level 5s in trash long before you ever start slamming down Gatomons for max search and Mirei digivolving.
Which is why I advocate for purple base Ukko. It really cranks the speed of searching by 11 if you’re using Demimera for the eggs.

Imo as a mastemon player we need more than just new expensive cards. Mastemon has many issues that ukko and, vaccine engine doesn't help. Mirei is very expensive so i have not been able to get them. As well most of the stories in my area don't have EX6.

With Maste it has to be purple base IMO, setting up trash is too essential to not have.

I feel like your wrong the deck needs the speed of being able to make a maste each turn as quickly as possible and the yellow base provides that, now the list he's on is a bad example with no old mireis and no raijiludomon but it's more ideal than purple base
