Honestly I would say that I seem to be leaning red black and purple. But I think about more like what the playstyles I would like the most from the colours. When it come to dual colours, I am hoping for black green combo with playstyle of using de-digivolve and suspend opponent’s digimons then trash top security stack when attacking suspended digimon without doing security check.
Black main over here! Be it Galacticmon, Alphamon, Diablomon, Craniamon, the only thing i'm not touching are the WarGreymons because i'm sick of seeing them everywhere, in every single product lol
It's interesting how much each color has changed or hasn't changed. For instance red has had very little changes so far still being aggressive with multiple checks and DP boosting skills while others like Black have seen a good amount of changes like how originally its main method of removal was just De-digivole and now it more based on Cost. Also Purple was if the digimon was unsuspended and bow is more on level.
These were very concise explanations, and wonderfully laid out. One thing I would say though is that you forgot that with purple, they also have many effects manipulate Option cards. Recycling them, reducing their play cost or even allowing them to be used for free
I'm new to the game, but I really like the green deck I made. I call it K.O. Suspension. I put in a lot of piercing and "When this digimon attacks an opponent's digimon..." effects, as well as cards that suspend enemy digimon. BanchoStingmon and MegaGargomon are beasts! Of course, I recently splashed blue for Veemon shenanigans.
I love Black (Alphamon) and Purple decks, I've always loved Graveyard recursion decks in other TCG's or deck that use the Graveyard as a source for resources, so I absolutely love the new Beelzemon deck. I would have to say both my Alphamon and Beelzemon deck are tied for me on my favorite decks, and Gallantmon is my favorite line of Digimon so I can't wait for EX04

I think Black's inherent weakness is that being defensive isn't a win condition. The one time it was good was BlackWarGreymon, and that was basically a Red deck let's be honest.
Don't forget alphamon in BT9 format. But it's playstyle is more red(security +1 inheritable dorugrey)/blueish (source manipulation and unsuspecting) while abusing cool boy and X Antibody stuff. It was best deck for format with gradis second best.
I think Black is now more for Combo-color decks right now and later on its getting support to be more devastating in its defenses like security effects or reflective effects for Blocker .
Well, the idea is more that they can attack and defend at the same time, whereas other colors usually have to choose and will be at risk if they attack. Other than that, they have a lot of variety and niche effects. Their win conditions will change depending on the deck, sometimes they want to hit through the opponent's digimon, sometimes they want to hit around them, sometimes they want to swarm, sometimes they get an entirely new win condition like they did with Diaboromon.
I started buying packs because I like some of the art from dimensional phase and I want to try and play buuuuuuuuuuut They don't have an online version and it's intimidating learning a new game in person :s

I tend to like a lot of decks that operate as if they're a different color than they actually are, but for the more normal examples I think I play Black or Purple most. Started out more biased towards Black decks and then found some fun mechanics in purple that I've been enjoying too. Green is probably third place, I've mostly played Insects, but I've been branching out recently (pun intended). Blue is probably next, getting rid of sources is fun and Gomamon is cool, but I haven't really gone beyond that much. Yellow is one that I haven't tinkered with much at all, aside from decks with multiple colors, definitely want to though. Red tends to be a bit too simple to me, so I tend to play the weird red decks, I'm not sure if they count.
I want to do a Yellow deck at some point. I currently have a very solid Gallant Red deck, but am hopefully going to be getting further into the game. It's difficult to find people to play in my area, so I don't have any playing experience other than to play against the starter decks that I currently have.

you can mulligan once per game after you draw your first 5 and before you place your security cards. This is a new change that started at the beginning of this month as before there was no option for mulligan and the security cards used to be placed first.
Quiet new to the Game. I have a question. Can a Deck contain also 2-3 different colors or its allowed Just to have one color in all of the 50 cards ? Cause my deck i created ist blue/Green but Not Sure im allowed to Play Like that.
I am a bit on the fence now; started collecting in 2021 and loved the "easy" decks, but now? Some of the cards and texts are so weird its on yugioh level.
That's fair, there's no problem with playing older style decks as long as you have a way to play casually so that you can plan your matches to be fair. Some communities even do custom events with limitations like only playing cards that were released before a certain time, or only playing common and uncommon cards, there are lots of ways to engage the game and enjoy it.

I have the most fun playing dual colour decks. You get a the playstyle from 2 different colours and they combined to form their own strategy.
