Freezai nuzlocks are always something else, and you can tell because instead of explaining what's happening, Jan is also trying to figure out what's happening
I love watching this as a casual pokemon player and learning the strats behind the scenes and the way they learn to manipulate the AI to their advantage. The most I know is Have STAB moves, some coverage, and a utility move. Thats about all I know when it comes to pokemon strats
I love freezai! Been following him since 13k. I even sent him an email with a competitive battle, and he took the time to respond. Good guy, and great pokemon player
Out of all the nuzlockers Jan has reviewed, he had no other criticisms than "play better music." I'd be genuinely curious to see a Pokemon Soullink between these 2, or even just a battle in Showdown.
I am not surprised, freezai is a competitive Pokémon player, and for him to have a custom avatar means that he won an important tournament. His videos usually are about pokemon in competitive like how good or broken they can be with certain sets, etc,... There are some videos about certain pokemon that he explains technical information about the gen that is talking about
It's really upsetting that Freezai's Littlelock videos don't get more attention, they're all so good! Glad that you brought attention to it, but it is a little heartbreaking that this video has 10x the views of the original video on his own channel. But it makes sense since nuzlocke content isn't the primary draw of his channel like it is for you.
I've been watching Freezai for a while now and Pchal even longer, and this is EXACTLY what I was hoping for when Freezai said he'd start doing nuzlockes!
I love how Nuzlocke was invented in order to: * Increase difficulty in pokemon games (by limiting player options). * Increase immersion (the forced-naming pokemons creates an emotional attachment, and also the fact you can only catch 1 per route). And yet, this 2 dudes just made Nuzlocke games the coldest calculator of which mons I want to sacrifice later on, and how much damage I need to have taken in this mon in order to force the AI into using a move that is convenient for me. Literally flipping the 2nd objective backwards: "pokemons are just tools through which I fulfill my goals to be the very best!"
It's an unfortunate side-effect of most "enhanced rules" Nuzlockes. They require more strategy and sometimes sacrifices are necessary, so you tend to be more likely to treat them as simply tools to complete the game.
I like watching Jan's reactions to video I already watched because I get to watch a video I liked twice, plus my very-easily-distrscted ass gets enough enterteinment by it thanks to the added commentary
Really happy that this run is being showcased on this channel. I love all of Freezai's content, but it feels like his videos on ingame content aren't as popular as his competitive pokemon content.
Bro imagine being the Elite Four and seeing this dude walk in with unevolved, poisoned, sometimes half or near dead pokemon, and sacking them like they're Storm Troopers. Freezai nuzlocks are always something else, and you can tell because instead of explaining what's happening, Jan is also trying to figure out what's happening
😮😮😮
It just feels like cheating. This guy has a whiteboard for every battle and thinks in every way possible. Its really impressive
He’s really good. If you want another nuzlocke to watch, watch the fire only nuzlocke in diamond by flygonHG
He actually did a while back :)
@@itzhydra8252 he reacted to the b2 w2 one not the diamond one I'm pretty sure
that would be a very dangerous door to open because then people wouldnt stop asking him to react to various flygon nuzlockes
@@swift3520 he has reacted to flygon before so I think it’s fine
@@childeater272 oh he did one in diamond as well? I’ll have to go check that out then
You can really tell how the subathon is tiring him out
i love how based his ad reads are like how he didn't edit out the walk out and instead used it as a bit. he's so funny.
The "low pretty roll" had me laughing waaaay more than I should have
I was here when this premiered. Freezai is an absolute chad when it comes to competitive and nuzlockes.
Out of all the nuzlockers Jan has reviewed, he had no other criticisms than "play better music."
I'd be genuinely curious to see a Pokemon Soullink between these 2, or even just a battle in Showdown.
Wow freezai's planning skills are insane. You should totally do a soul link or a cagelocke with him!
I am not surprised, freezai is a competitive Pokémon player, and for him to have a custom avatar means that he won an important tournament. His videos usually are about pokemon in competitive like how good or broken they can be with certain sets, etc,... There are some videos about certain pokemon that he explains technical information about the gen that is talking about
as someone who’s just getting genuine into strategizing nuzlockeing this is mind blowing to me
It's really upsetting that Freezai's Littlelock videos don't get more attention, they're all so good! Glad that you brought attention to it, but it is a little heartbreaking that this video has 10x the views of the original video on his own channel. But it makes sense since nuzlocke content isn't the primary draw of his channel like it is for you.
I love how he seemed like he was in 100% control of all situations at all times. Truly amazing
I love this challenge for Freezai, because his little cup knowledge really shows and it's amazing to watch.

What a mad lad, Freezai kicks ass 👏🏼
I've been watching Freezai for a while now and Pchal even longer, and this is EXACTLY what I was hoping for when Freezai said he'd start doing nuzlockes!
Freezai is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and can explain weird concepts in competitive really well. Fantastic creator.
"Treeko out grew his usefulness so I disposed of him" my man sounding like the Anime rival
I love how Nuzlocke was invented in order to:
* Increase difficulty in pokemon games (by limiting player options).
Literally flipping the 2nd objective backwards: "pokemons are just tools through which I fulfill my goals to be the very best!"
yeah and its awesome
It's an unfortunate side-effect of most "enhanced rules" Nuzlockes. They require more strategy and sometimes sacrifices are necessary, so you tend to be more likely to treat them as simply tools to complete the game.
For anyone thinking this would be hard for freezai, he did click crabhammer 6 times
So cool to see this poketuber crossover!! Never would have expected to see my favorite competitive smogon tier guy on pokechallenges coverage.
I like watching Jan's reactions to video I already watched because I get to watch a video I liked twice, plus my very-easily-distrscted ass gets enough enterteinment by it thanks to the added commentary
Freezai is one of the GOAT PokéTubers on this website. His knowledge on the games and ability to plan and execute is top notch.
man this guy is a god, that shadow tag perish song strat was so big brain.
Really happy that this run is being showcased on this channel. I love all of Freezai's content, but it feels like his videos on ingame content aren't as popular as his competitive pokemon content.
I found Freezai’s channel when he was still a pretty small creator, glad to see him grow a lot. I’ve always enjoyed his video’s a lot.
Potato
3:46 Did my guy really just itch his arm with the back of his hand or am i seeing things
I really enjoy seeing Jan review other highly skilled Nuzlockers. It's how I found FlygonHG, now it's time to start watching more of Freezing.
I honestly like that Jan doesn't take showers during subathons.
He's a true gamer at his core.
You know you're wicked good when Jan calls you 'Sexy'
Bro imagine being the Elite Four and seeing this dude walk in with unevolved, poisoned, sometimes half or near dead pokemon, and sacking them like they're Storm Troopers.
And that guy becomes the new champion; with one pokemon still alive. Then goes and defeats the true final fight, with again, one mon alive. What a chad.
6:31 Ffs I completely forgot about this trick during both of my hardcore variant runs 😵
Been watching Freezai for a while and I'm glad he's got your approval. Dude is a legit competitive beast. Guys like you and him are the reason I'm even still interested in Pokémon
I just can't imagine doing this. Like, I've done a number of Nuzlockes, but planning one out to *this* degree... like, it's super impressive, but I just can't imagine having a lot of fun with it.
thanks for bringing such a cool high level nuzlocker to our attention!! i’d be curious to see your reaction to flygon hg’s renegade platinum hardcore nuzlocke
Freezai: "Hey guys, so today we're going to make this Pokémon game our bitch by exploiting bad programming"
Freezai went from this small time youtuber what early this year i think he had less than 1k subs when his vids were being reccomended and they were just really interesting pokemon facts based on moves tiers etc now hes rxpanded and is a significantly bigger poketuber now i love it you see the influences from others in his vids and its great like he had to have seen some pk challenge vids before
As someone who watched freezai's competitive pokémon, someone who even represented our country in pokémon, I'm not surprised he did this
which country does he represent?

That was the most insane strats. I think he's the smartest nuzlocker we've seen yet.
Wow Pokemon Challenges had nothing that he didn't like about this video. Really speaks to the caliber of player that Freezai is.
That was a crazy play through. Working on my 3rd attempt at a ruby nuzlocke and seeing more of these analysis play throughs help
Wow freezai really doubled his subscribers in a couple of months
This person reminds me of Batman, who have contingency plan for contingency plan.
everything is so planned and execution was so perfect. too
So happy you covered his content, hope he gains a bigger following
Oh I'm SO glad you found this. Thank goodness.
Man when the Subathon ends we might not see Jan for a month he looks tired
Happy it’s successful though!
"Pokémon is too RNG based."
Friezai: *I beg to differ*
Where's the link to Freezai's video? I feel like Jan should include that somewhere in the description - or at least a pinned comment, especially since this video (Jan's) will probably get more views than the original (Freezai's).
ua-cam.com/video/U0MMTZxAbvY/v-deo.html
Freezai is no joke. I remember discovering his channel back when he was just starting it out, he's explaining all kinds of obscure mechanics that lead to some giga brain strategies in Showdown. If I had to guess one youtuber that isn't primarily a nuzlocker but whose nuzlocke would impress Jan, it would have been Freezai.
Freezai is nuts with this and his insane skill in competitive singles
That perish song force switch to mettagross was do nasty
Just did a "Green-Locke" of Alpha Sapphire, and found out Curse works through substitute in that game. We were in a bit of Steer Mode at that point, but it's ironic timing that you asked that question, when I just found it out so recently.
