The album will be out 27th of this month, so the lyrics will be on the booklets ;) Of course we'll consider making a lyric video for some songs as well, unless someone else does it, after the album has been released. Let's see!
The good old mygrain arrived again! This song is really incredible. Amazing vocals, synths also guitars and this bass solo. Wow guys, its just a masterpiece. Hope the whole album is same good as this song!\m/
No one can every replace scar symmetry. It's a shame they let the lead singer go. It definitely went downhill from there. Solution 45 is alright, but again, is not as good as scar.
What??? They sound nothing like Scar Symmetry with Christian. LOL. There are so many idiotic comments on UA-cam, holy shit. It's absolutely NOT like they're carrying the torch from where SS left off after Christian ...
like a Combination of Cipher System (especially the keyborad sounds) and Soilwork.....still it has kind of a unique sound. can't wait to hear the rest of the CD!!! ;-) the first three albums were great and so will be this one - hopefully!
Few weeks and the new album will see it's daylight. If you haven't pre-ordered the "Planetary Breathing" yet, now it's the time to do so. Make the order from Record Shop X! They ship worldwide.
This band pretty much never makes a riff appear only once in the song, that one is part of the main "disco" theme. The riff at 1:35 is played with the keys at 1:00. Also, the melody at 2:23 is featured in two tracks on the album, but I won't tell where that is because I'd spoil all the fun this band is giving to us :P
Well its about taste them... Mygrain self tittled was and is still awesome for me, I can't help crying in joy to Xenomorphic and Cataclysm Child still!
muy bueno, me recuerda al disco anterior pero con sonidos mas nítidos y menos guturales sobrecargados.espero tener el cd pronto para poder disfrutar el resto de los temas =)
Hey friends! Today we are going to shoot the second music video for the upcoming album "Planetary Breathing". The song will be the opening track called "Waking up the damned", so expect some heavy ass headbanging and good vibes :) Meanwhile, if you still haven't pre-ordered the "Planetary Breathing" now it's the time to do so! Click yourself to Record Shop X and make the order. THEY SHIP WORLDWIDE! ---> recordshopx. c o m/artist/mygrain/planetary_breathing/
The songwriting improved heaps on "MyGrain" compared to the previous, it was the dose of ambition this style of music had been lacking. It's like going where Soilwork never did after Natural Born Chaos.
This album is going to be Fucking Brutal!!! Everyone quit bitching and comparing everything to everyone else...regardless of who/what it sounds like...it's AMAZING!!! Cannot wait for this!!!
I love all their albums. But everyone in the band shone brightly in their self titled. Tommy's screams, Eve's keyboard, Resistor's and Teemu's guitar solos and rhythms and ofcourse the insane drumming of Locomotive. What I am hoping from this new album is more from Jonas' Bass. With their previous album, they matured and meshed really well.
I have literally just discovered this band. VERY COOOOL!!!!! Anything out of Finland, you know is gonna rock!!!!!! Very InFlamesie, with a dash of COB. AND A SMALL SMEAR OF Sonata. Fucking cool!!! I always see such awesome songs, with hardly any likes??? wtf??? Gonna share this with all my (metal) friends. Peace x \m/
Maybe their self-named album was too perfect. I still remember when I got the preordered CD finally and then put it playing. The feeling that the song "Into the Parallel Universe" got me into was and still is undescribable. MyGrain's new album is good, not the best but a bit dull. The previous one is very well structured and has absolutely no weak songs, I'd say it's the best album as whole I've ever listened to. "Planetary Breathing" is few steps backwards from the "kick-ass melodic style".
I agree. There was a shitload of "groove" (a vague concept at best) in the S/T album that I've not heard before or since. That album was so fucking good that the majority of the rest of myGRAIN's songs strike me like outtakes.
I would have replaced in flames, dark tranquility and possibly arch enemy with Wintersun, edge of sanity, norther, frosttide, the bereaved, solution 45, blinded colony, wolfheart, brymir.
Ohh yeah they do I clicked in it and walked away from my computer and I was like wtf is soilwork playing I never heard this song from them but nope was not soilwork and I love LOVE me some soilwork so I will be on amazon asap buy this
I don't meant it in offensive way, but they have the Gothenburg sound, played and invented for more than a decade, by In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Soilwork... Anyone that's familiar with the scandinavian styles of metal can recognise this! "Pfft"
Granted that I love this band, their songs, its style, lyrics and music, there's one thing I don't understand (and I'll never): Why this (not only him, but a few in modern metal music) singer in studio albums sings perfectly while this not happens in live concerts? As long as we are talking about screams&growls no problem, but when comes the moment to sing clean he sings out of tune, and always short of breah and unable to reach the tonalities that reaches in studio albums? I can understand tiredness, long trips from gig to gig, routine etc., but you can see this in every video uploaded here...I'm only asking, not criticizing...
It's hard to switch between screams/growls to clean vocals in the blink of an eye without warming up your vocal chords again (most vocalists will warm up before live performances so they'd have to do it again during the song to be able to be in tune for clean vocals). It's mainly due to the fact they don't have time to warm their vocal chords during a live song hence why it sounds very flat live.
Countdown begins... Nine days until Planetary Breathing is released! You still have time to preorder the album - with the t-shirt combo if you wish. They ship worldwide! w w w.r e c ordshopx.com/artist/mygrain/planetary_breathing/#cd-t-shirt
Hey friends! Thank you so much for the nice feedback. It warms our old hearts :) Hopefully we see many of you on the road soon...
Love this band so much
I've been following this band since Orbit Dance. Glad i did.
This band is unbelievably underrated. They're should be as big as Amon Amarth at the very least.
And thank you for the nice feedback of the song "Dreamscape".
It warms our old hearts & farts :)
See you on the road soon friends!
MyGrain tracks always have some of the most original and impressive drumming I've ever heard. This is a great tune.
The album will be out 27th of this month, so the lyrics will be on the booklets ;) Of course we'll consider making a lyric video for some songs as well, unless someone else does it, after the album has been released. Let's see!
I just discovered this band via message from a band member saying the band is no longer.
Sad to see a band give up on the dream.
And now they’re back and recording a new album ;p
now the first 2 songs of the new album are released, and it would have been better had they remained split
This song is perfectly perfect!!!
The good old mygrain arrived again! This song is really incredible. Amazing vocals, synths also guitars and this bass solo. Wow guys, its just a masterpiece. Hope the whole album is same good as this song!\m/
MyGrain brings melodic death metal to a whole new level. the Cosmic one :D
great as always.
\m/
Well, I think this alone has me sold on the album. Solid work, impressive bass tapping, just all-around a damn good song.
I really liked it! The bass solo clip was awesome and the guitar solo was outstanding as well.
It's like these guys are carrying the torch from where Scar Symmetry left off (when Christian left).
You heard about Solution 45? I think no.
No one can every replace scar symmetry. It's a shame they let the lead singer go. It definitely went downhill from there. Solution 45 is alright, but again, is not as good as scar.

Tommy,
the best vocalist in metal !
You nailed it. Can't agree more with you. Hope they will take it more serious on their next album.
can't stop listening
like a Combination of Cipher System (especially the keyborad sounds) and Soilwork.....still it has kind of a unique sound. can't wait to hear the rest of the CD!!! ;-)

Awesome...Just awesome!

What's this madness? A Bass solo? I approve!
I was like, this is brilliant, but then the bass-solo arrived and that was the moment of purchase.
Pretty ballin mix you guys have here!!... and nice chorus !... will def check out this new cd

They're coming back
Well its about taste them... Mygrain self tittled was and is still awesome for me, I can't help crying in joy to Xenomorphic and Cataclysm Child still!
como siempre en su línea impresionante, muy buenos.
My thoughts exactly! Like a sequel to Natural Born Chaos, and a welcome one at that.
really good
Simplemente geniales! Vengan a Uruguay!!!
Awesome!!!
Great music!
Waking Up The Damned! One of the best songs from the new album! :)
Tahdon keikalle kattoo tätä biisiä livenä. Ehkä yks parhaista biiseistä ikinä
Absolutely beautiful video.
Just awesome!
обожаю эту группу,крутые

Great song! cant wait for this album!!
This is nothing close to Trapped in an Hourglass material .. but the bass solo and Tommy's screams are still praiseworthy!
The songwriting improved heaps on "MyGrain" compared to the previous, it was the dose of ambition this style of music had been lacking. It's like going where Soilwork never did after Natural Born Chaos.
new favorite song
Mahtavata...kuten aina!
The video was shot almost a year ago so it's actually older than the Amaranthe video ;-)
Just like it!!!
This album is going to be Fucking Brutal!!! Everyone quit bitching and comparing everything to everyone else...regardless of who/what it sounds like...it's AMAZING!!! Cannot wait for this!!!
Nice! Bass tapping & ufos.
Fucking hell awesome song! i haven't listened to any Mygrain's song since "Into the p. universe" so i fucking loved that song!
I love all their albums. But everyone in the band shone brightly in their self titled. Revelations ilustred 👍👍👍
Good job guys! Amazing song! :) Can't wait for the whole album, hopefully with a tour to follow! (Be sure to also destroy The Netherlands ;) )
melody

Loved the girl on keyboard!!!!!
This song is like disco melodeath, great :D
What type of shampoo do they use?
Awesome! \m/
Fuck. Yes. So excited for the new album. This song embodies everything I love musically about MyGRAIN. Now, let's see this shit live in NYC!
Hot-Burning-Damn >>> I just finished my FUCKING AMAZING DAY with this Masterpiece right away from Valhalla !!!
I agree. There was a shitload of "groove" (a vague concept at best) in the S/T album that I've not heard before or since. That album was so fucking good that the majority of the rest of myGRAIN's songs strike me like outtakes.
There are some great songs on the self titled, but overall I liked the first 2 much more. Much more raw and heavy, in my opinion :)
SO good ._.
Wonderfull original good szinger good singer , Evrything rock !!!! and that orgiginal clavier !!! ~~cyber =====> LIKE
yeaaahhh i like it!
i love it❤❤❤💀
where i can get lyrics?
Lisää Eveä!
Tommys handsomeness!
BRING BACK MYGRAIN ALREADY!
Lyrics please!
Actually this is In Flames's style!
I would have replaced in flames, dark tranquility and possibly arch enemy with Wintersun, edge of sanity, norther, frosttide, the bereaved, solution 45, blinded colony, wolfheart, brymir.
Dude,first A video was shot in 2011
Stop analyzing the song genre so much and just enjoy the artistry. Listen, relax, jam, headbang.
So fcking awesome!!!
similar to amaranthe...but different style of music, love that intro ( i thought it was taken from nitendo games - LOL )
Similar to amaranthe? LOL
i think you didnt know about amaranthe - LOL too
Really? I thought the "MyGrain" album was a huge step backwards compared to Orbit Dance and Signs of Existence.
This remind me of Disarmonia Mundi
3:38 sounds familiar but what?
Genrensä kovin Suomalaisbändi! On tätä ooteltukin..
Also, it's time for a myGRAIN/Amaranthe crossover song/video. Or several.
Dat intro doe.. RIP eardrums.
that vocalist needs a new position. i.m.o that keyboardist is by far THE BEST! She is amazing!
Is it just me or does this sound like the Swedish band soilwork?
It does indeed. And I love soilwork. So I just found a new fantastic band )
Ohh yeah they do I clicked in it and walked away from my computer and I was like wtf is soilwork playing I never heard this song from them but nope was not soilwork and I love LOVE me some soilwork so I will be on amazon asap buy this
They sound like a mix between Soilwork, Sonic Syndicate and The Unguided
Đuro Razbojnik True but then again the singer for soilwork is the same for Disarmonia if I am correct.
+mattmanrx99 I always thought it sounded more like Damnation Plan
4:07 ye awesome
MODERN METAL
I don't meant it in offensive way, but they have the Gothenburg sound, played and invented for more than a decade, by In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Soilwork... Anyone that's familiar with the scandinavian styles of metal can recognise this! "Pfft"

Dunno where you saw them but a week ago in Finland he sang pretty god damn perfectly
touring gives such stress on vocal cords and he can't sing with that i guess.. haha
I heard them live and I think the vocals were nearly perfect, including the switching between the vocal types.
Both the mix of clean and harsh vocals and being completely incapable of actually singing the clean part were pioneered by Fear Factory

The vocals sound a lot like Alexi Laiho's.
sound a little like Voyager :)
fucking, yes.
Troublingly, this sounds exactly like the S/T album.
