My God, this band is the perfect blend of three different genres: metal, rock, and alternative. Everyone in this band is on point. I just found new and much needed music to work out to. The drums and guitar get the heart pumping, the metal voice gets you moving, the female voice gets you cruising, and the eye of the tiger voice makes you want to push just a little harder till the end of the set. I love it.
From Linkin park, this is the next best
ColdCoders, disagreed. For me it's Amaranthe, the Birthday Massacre, Within Temptation. These guys make almost every musical composition sound perfect. Linkin Park can't brag about it. I don't know... Maybe i've just got bored of 'Numb', 'Castle of glass' and 'With U'.

I agree, I stumbled across Amaranthe with a bit of Within Temptation a few months back and been hooked on Amaranthe. The idea they took of taking 3 older genres of metal/rock and conforming it into what they are is truly original along with their pieces. The trinity is so nostalgic with this group and happy to say I am a fan of it. Saddening most other works these days sound all the same and so bleedingly empty xD

These three singers are a really good combo!
For me personally I find the trio of vocal styles to be a unique and we'll balanced blend. The pure female vocals to lift and soar while the clean powerful male vocals keep the music grounded and centered, the screams of the second male vocalist add visceral impact, its raw, primal...bloody brilliant imo.

Just found this band today. Yeah, it's amusing that Wiki lists them as death metal. I don't really see anything close to death besides the growls. But seriously, who cares about trying to classify bands into genres? There're only 3 classifications as far as I'm concerned:

I loved everything about their sound. They harmonized so well and every singer had an equal part in the song. I even like the growls which hardly ever happens.
People are such assholes when it comes to bands who do their own thing, like for real shut up. If you don't like the song, you have many options to leave. For example, that x up there on the tab, those many other videos on the side, the search bar, or hell get off your computer or whatever and go do some productive with your life besides sending hate.
Now of you don't mind, I am going to listen to this very unique band.

It just sucks when you are a type and another type thinks they should date and hang with you because thir tv told them to obsess over your type. This is my main gripe with posers. Back in the 90s people called nirvana death metal to try and fit into the metal scene. It actually worked as those people were the majority. So now half the world thinks nirvana is blackened thrash metal and this will probably go on to be known as the most brutal black metal band ever to the masses. Even bands like slayer have a good sound but their following is the nirvana and justin beiber and miley cyrus crowd because the same tv advertised both to them.

2nd: That was probably my #1 problem when i was overly obsessed with nirvana, everyone called it death metal but it just didn't sound like it at all to me.

I'll have you know, it is not "death metal" it is "Metalcore" or a "Power metal/pop" band/group (for reference "metalcore" means hardcore metal, however "Power metal" is a sub-genre of heavy metal, but it includes synthesizer with the qualities of classic metal and speed/faster paced metals). Sorry for that

I can't believe this album is turning 10 years old this year. The band has been through quite a few changes since then. I like Nils and GG6 (though he left recently) and I think of Helix as The Nexus Part 2. But sometimes I wonder how different the band would be if Jake E and Andy were still around. Jake and Elize harmonized so well together and Andy is a super talented harsh vocalist. This album was well blended with contrast while also having a consistent sound that you can quickly identify the track is from The Nexus. They really knew their craft back then.

Its a mix of pop to atmospheric melodic techno death metal, it is something new that people really dont seem to understand yet.

Nexus was my introduction to Amaranthe and boy, what a ride it is! From start to finish it gives you vocals that are crystal clear, even the growl feels so on point, and the melodic composition is just eargasm; a perfect mix of anthemic progression and kickass heavy riffs. This song just hits you in the balls, lifts you up over the shit and takes you somewhere special. One of the true great ones. Oh and I even like the story, for what little you can make out of it; is the future ready to handle the metal of the past? ^^

First two albums were dope their new stuff is too watered down in my opinion, less triplet riffs and less metal more generic radio metal and their new screamer is not nearly as good.

This band is my everything. Before I found them, I was so bored with music as it is, I felt as if I was forced to listen to pop. They completely opened me up to metal, I had no idea how great it is.

I was really not into this band for a long time, but the first time I saw them live, I was totally hooked. 100% NOT a studio band. They sound amazing live. And if you think Elize looks good on YT, wait til you see her 6 ft away. Hooooooly shit!

Oddly enough, the drummers lead into the chorus really does it for me man. The chorus is catchy af anyway, but damn, the drummer puts in work.

As to the song. Too theatrical for my current tastes. Brainstorm and early Into Eternity are bands that come to mind when I want to experience this sound.
I'm honestly not trying to be a dick, but simply conversing.. but is there a reason why you feel that having it on the right arm is incorrect? While it is not the most ideal setup.. If you're doing a tactical reload would you not be holding the weapon with your right arm (assuming you're right handed) while using your left to reload? You wouldn't want them on the left arm?
I would have to agree with you as I have been trained to reload with the support hand while always maintaining support of the weapon with the strong arm. I know for a fact that their are people who do it the other way around and brace the weapon against there shoulder with their support hand and perform a strong arm reload. It's all preference. The point I was ultimately trying to make is that everyone considers their gear for what works for them. Yea I understand that it's a cheesy music video and these guys probably just started strapping gear on to make themselves look cool. I just can't stand when people tell other people how to configure their gear, that's all.
I was just making fun of how many 12gague shells that guy was wearing. Personally, I shoot skeet, so I can never have more than 2 shell in hand at a time.
