Beautiful job bro. I loved the calm music behind the subject at hand. Very detailed and straight forward. The only thing I could see improvement on, is the delay between rocket and shell. Increase the delay so your rocket can get to its peak/apogee before the shell explodes. Again, beautiful work.

Do you use a 75 kno3 15 char 10 Sulfur mix for your rocket powder as well?
For a rocket with header I use 60 30 10
But the ratio will depend on the specifications of the tool you are using

Hello, i use 1/2 id 4" long tubes 75 15 10 hot mix + 2 mineral oil 40g liquor thinner
Its a nozzeless rocket
And it lifted a 2.5 oz headed like crazy high!
1" delay from the spindle make 2 sec

Is there a bigger explosion when it bursts so low in the sky? Does the rest of the thrust fuel blow up when it throws the stars?
Nice craftsmanship! Looks like your doing 8oz or 1 pound motors now? I think you need more increments of delay. What's your delay ratio? I slow my delay down by adding 36mesh charcoal. Other people will use 80mesg charcoal in their delay. So yeah, add more increments of delay, or use a slower comp. BTW, that was a nice break! Looked alot better than my most recent tiger tail header I did. Keep up the good work man!
Thank you. I'm using a 4oz rocket. I'm just using a thicker tube to support the heading. I used +6% nahco3 to 55 35 10 Rocket fuel. And 0.33 inch delay.

Can i use feO3? Instead of kno3 cause i pretty much have to make it from scratch. I found a way to get potassium carbonate but its not working good. Pure sulfur is hard too.
Well I have never tried it. But I don't think red iron oxide is a suitable oxidizer for black powder.

I use Nitrate Flash Because of unavailability of Kclo4.
I use 1:60 Flash : BP Granulate
I don't use rice hulls so won't be able to tell you the right ratio.
@@PassfireRocketnitrate flash is also more stable and less risky. No wonder you were to shake it around and easily dust it without any issue. That was scary for me but knowing its nitrate based makes me feel better

You can use a sugar rocket fuel (35% sugar & 65% potassium nitrate) for your school project

Depends which type of rocket it is. End burners works with hot fuel - 75/15/10. Core Burners requires slow burning fuel - 60/30/10
This mix is NOT rocket fuel, it is for the header. The display 'burst' please read before commenting.
Don't used hot glue gun at the of closing of top side of the header,and you know why it brusting after taking its ist turn

I used unmilled rocket fuel. 55, 35, 10, not granulated.
@@PassfireRocket do you find unmilled burns at a speed good enough for only rockets? Or do you use unmilled for all other black powder related uses as well? I like that, because every body absolutely swears by it but to me I don’t see the appeal, I mean yeah… but eh
@@zach3096 Unmilled works fine. It could be relatively slower than milled. But as long as it does the job, why not.
