  • THIS TYPE OF FUSE IS FAST BURNING, SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR DELAY FUSE. COULD BE USED TO FUSE TUBES DOWN THERE BUT NOT TO MAKE DELAY WHEN LIGHTING THE CAKE. EVEN THO I DID IT YOU SHOULDN'T. INSTEAD USE BLACKMATCH OR VISCO FUSE FOR BEST RESULTS.
    I'm planning to do more videos like this and a bunch different firework ideas! Some of the videos are already done and some of them are about to be filmed! I can't wait to share them all here! So, I'm not trying to sell you anything here, but if you're impatient come visit my Patreon and you'll surely find new content already uploaded there, it's just another way of support for this channel so we can all together enjoy better content. All in all we both watch these fireworks go off thru the screen - I do when I film them and you when I upload it :) #PyroLove #MakeAndDestroy #Fireworks

    Hey there pyros, just gotta say that my intended effect is "Horse tail" (what was mentioned throughout the video), so no flesh for the burst charge. Small cracks when these shells broke were just perfect and pleasing. Thanks for commenting tho ;)
    P. S. Also, stars could've performed better I agree!

  • @FireworkTutorials
    @FireworkTutorials 3 роки тому +13

    Very nicely done! I make cakes using a similar method, but I use visco fuse instead of blackmatch. I think your stars were not igniting, or were not great in the first place though. I also recommend using flashpowder instead of blackpowder to burst such small shells.

    • @MakeAndDestroyFireworks
      @MakeAndDestroyFireworks  3 роки тому +7

      If you watch thru the whole video, there is a part where I say I'm looking to get "Horse tail" effect so blasting these shells was not even a plan. Yes, some of the stars were blown "blind", I'm gonna say the effect was 95% of my intention. Aldo I respect your point of view.

    I was lucky enough to have Creeper (I forgot his real name) send me a box of 5/8" ID thick walled thread cores that he used for cakes. I plug the bottoms with glued dowels and glue a line of the tubes onto a plywood base, attaching additional rows with masking tape and rubber bands. (It's too hard to reuse them with bottom/side fusing if they're ALL glued to the base.) Lately I've resorted to a trick to get a few more shots in than there are tubes for, which is to turn one or two of the tubes of the cake into Roman candles rather than mortars; it's also easier to find the starting fuse if it sticks out the top of a candle case rather than being on the bottom. So the performance starts with candle stars -- which could be mini-comets instead -- then proceeds via the bottom lift charge to the rest.

    If you want to make nitrocellulose llaquer for fuse you can make it by cutting into pieces a ping pong ball and leaving it in acetone will form after a while it will form a thick white liquid, You pass the fuse through the liquid, you let it dry and it would be waterproof and it makes it a slower ignition I leave you the video I saw.
