I have a problem where mortification from many years ago suddenly spikes up despite it no longer being relevant. But when I watch Bob Ross I feel his vibe. Others may be watching and I may not be perfect but as long as I like what I'm doing it'll all be fine. Just create good worlds for your mind.

The most interesting thought expressed lately is how much Bob and Mr Rogers are alike. They are in fact, very similar! Mr Rogers was a highly trained Military man, who laid down his guns and became a Minister and the gentle soul we loved. Bob Ross was a Military man for many years. When he was through, he also laid down his weapons, became this wonderful gentle painting soul! Both gave freely of themselves to spread Peace to the World! We have been very Blessed by strong/gentle men! .pgw/OR

Patricia Walters mr rogers was never in the military he was a child psychologist who had a masters degree and wanted to communicate with children easily to help them. Fred Rogers' onset aides confirmed he never knew how to use a screwdriver, nonetheless kill someone. He was a psychologist.

I'm wondering. Most people who wanted to paint along with him, did they record the broadcast on videotape? Or where they sitting ready steady and once the colors of paint where appearing across the screen while he's already diving into it, they go like "oh shit oh shit oh shit"

I doubt many people painted along while watching live. Most people taped the show and painted along the 2nd time watching it. Now we can paint along while watching on UA-cam

He was always using almost the same colors and just mixing them to create variations, so people could predict a little.

Gesso is an acrylic base and dries quite quickly and is best as an undercoat. Liquid white is oil based but thinner than his usual firm oils that the whole painting is done with. He uses the liquid white to make the canvas slick so it can be blended on easily.

What happened to his paintings after he died?
Probably sold or kept in a tribute? If they were sold they'd be sold for a fortune
If I remember it right, he donated the paintings to the various stations that aired the show.
Ashley Luna there are still over a thousand paintings missing/locked up somewhere! One day they will be found/released to the public, and they will be the most beautiful masterpieces anyone has ever seen!

An episode where he paints a palm tree was actually just uploaded on this channel the other day on May 3rd. It's called "Bob Ross-Tropical Seascape (Season 12 Episode 9)". Also, any other episodes that have tropical in the title or that show him in the thumbnail painting a wave or the ocean, tend to include him painting a palm tree.
